Bailee, Xiven, and Davy all appear to be having a very poor start to their day. How on earth someone managed to kidnap the Queen of Hearts is completely beyond me...but managed they have. All of those mentioned are chained to identical, plain, beds in a rather empty-looking room. Save for a large, locked chest in the corner. The chains are not magical, but metal, and feel like they've been on for hours...not to mention their splitting headaches. The room smells faintly of the outdoors and something...is moving downstairs. Odd...where were they before? What can they remember about being in the Capital before waking up here? Up to them, but I'd start searching or getting out as soon as possible. Though an introduction to the others in the room might help.

"Ugh… me head. How much did I have to drink?" That was what Davy had thought it to be at first. A terrible hangover. Heedless of his immediate surroundings he'd tried to bring a hand up to rub his forehead but seemed unable to complete the motion. "Ah.. shit." He pulled harder on his confines, hearing the rattle of chains. This was much, much worse than having a hangover. He moved his aching head to the side, noticing other bodies on beds. "Hey.. hey. You guys. Wake ye asses up. Where da hell are we?" The sound of movement downstairs made his hair stand on end. Oh hell, he'd take going through electrocution on any day over this"Shit… oh shit. Seriously, moon. Dis not be a good time to by yin' around. Wake da fuck up!" He hissed, trying to find something between a whisper and a yell so as not to alert their captor. Or at least, he assumed they had captors. If he'd had a crazy sex-crazed night that ended up chained to the bed and somehow couldn't remember it, he was going to be pissed. Well! Time to do the obvious first attempt and try to break his chains. Despite the ache of having been chained for an undetermined amount of time, he pulled against his restrings, activating his club ability. Moderate Magical Ability: When activated, he can carry up to 90 lbs of extra weight for 24 hours straight, one day per week. He is left feeling tired and somewhat drained for the 24 hours following that period.

When Xiven woke up with a splitting headache the first thing she reached for was her nightstand, however, her night stand wasn't there at all. The jingling of chains made her eyes snap open. Maybe it was some horrible joke by one of her children and they had found something that looked like her old binding. Unfortunately this wasn't a joke by her children. She was chained to a bed in a mysterious mostly empty room. And someone was hissing at her. She tilted he head to see the Midori and wordlessly summoned Emeraude, who was just as confused as she was, but at least she was unchained. Hopefully the other person was too busy unchaining themselves to notice a random person appearing in the room. "Go check the door Emeraude," Xiven whispered groggily as she silently figured out a way to get out of the chains. Technically they weren't alive... so she could turn them into her pole axe if she concentrated. Otherwise she would have to pick the lock with a tiny piece of wire. Taking a deep breath she activated the spell, Emeraude quietly made her way to the door, eying the chest for a brief moment. She leaned on the door lightly to see if she could hear anything. This was obviously a delicate situation while Xiven was chained up. After that they could just tear down the people who obviously deserved punishment. Xiven's Weapon Ability Boost: Once a week, she is capable of causing anything she picks up that isn't, and never was, alive to change into a weapon highly resembling her poleaxe and wield it like it was her favorite weapon, whether her actual one was close at hand or not.--- Bailee's eyes slowly fluttered open when she heard voices. Who was talking? What was going on? How much drugs had she done to feel like this? Why was she in chains? And Rachel chained her up again. The hissing and the voices made her snap awake. Her eyes widening as she saw that she wasn't alone in the room. Her head still hurt. Damn, did she have any of her extra syringes? Might as well get out of the chains. She activated her club strength ability, and did her best to snap the chains. Though it was difficult to maneuver with just her animal form, she'd done more ridiculous things every day. Bailee's Moderate Magical Ability: When activated, she can carry up to 200 lbs of extra weight for 24 hours straight, one day per week. She is left feeling tired and somewhat drained for the 24 hours following that period.

All manage easily to break their chains and are free to mill about the room. Emeraude hears nothing at the door, with exception to a very faint sound...could be the wind...could be breathing. The chest is difficult to open and tingles to the touch, their strength abilities and weapons don't seem to work on it. See if you can't come up with some other creative ways of opening it, should you like.
The door, however, is simply, a locked wooden door. It can be broken, if you try; don't hurt yourselves, though.
Vir woke up to a splitting headache and a painful twinge in her left leg. Her mask is missing and her body feels painfully roughed up and horrible. She's all alone in a room and hears very little...save some bumpings and scratchings through the...door? Where is she?!?!

Oh, Vir hurt. She hurt all over. That was a state of being that she had grown used to, but not... Not like this! No, the hurt of illness was different from this one. She felt as though she'd fallen asleep in the dryer with the warm towels, only to have someone turn it onto tumble without any warning. Her leg in particular seemed to have suffered, but that pain was second to the one currently pounding away at her head... Oh, Suits, did it hurt! She brought her paws up to press against her face, smoothing her hair back, eyes closing tightly as she did. That was when she noticed that something else was wrong. Her mask. Where was her mask? Immediate tightness gripped at her chest, bringing on a horrible fit of coughing. Her mask. She knew that, in theory, she didn't need it to breathe, but... But in practice, oh, she needed it. It was a comfort blanket of sorts, something that protected her... " Help," she mewled urgently, pressing herself against the door and trying not to breathe quite so hard. She was going to die... She dug her claws into it, scratching at its surface " Someone, please, help...!"

Emeraude felt a little uncomfortable when she heard the sound on the other side of the door. Something that could be breathing or wind didn't sit well with her. She pealed herself away from it, inspecting it a bit more. Well, at least the place was easy to break out of. Xiven had already made a weapon just in case anything went horribly wrong.
Xiven righted her clothing as she stood, still feeling the lingering pain and headache. She eyed the other occupants of the room. Two clubs, a Midori who looked like he was related to Zuberi and probably was, and a Corvie who looked to have syringes throughout her fur. She made her way over to the chest and poked it with her weapon, though it didn't really seem to do anything to it.
Emeraude returned to Xiven's side and explained so everyone could properly hear, "There's a chance someone is near the door. I can't tell if it's breathing or wind. We can break down the door rather easily I suspect..." She eyed the ranks of the pair who were in here, Clubs? Well that was useful for strength but not much else. She frowned.
Xiven's ears twitched. Did she hear....? She could be hallucinating. But if Vir was here...someone was going to pay for this. "I'm going to see if I can break the lock using my weapon." She said after a moment, walking over to the wooden door. She slipped the axe blade into the gap between the door and the frame. She but a bit of pressure on it first. After all she didn't want the blade to snap or anything ridiculous, even if it was built for dealing damage it wasn't built for this.

Bailee had decided that this was not the work of her drug dealer, and she was in fact kidnapped. What she had been doing was another matter entirely. She quietly hopped off the bed and wandered over to the chest that seemed to be the only interesting thing in the room besides the people.
A Midori and a human. And from the flash of red she saw, a Queen of Hearts. Who may have matched the description of the Queen of Hearts. Not going to think about that. "I'm Bailee by the way, nice to meet you all," she said cheerily before she removed one of her syringes.
She had decided that she was going to pick the lock with one of her syringes. Carefully she placed the needle tip into the lock. She had done this plenty of times to her own front door, how hard could it be doing it on a strange lock?
(( If rolls are needed for this sort of thing, Xiven rolled a 16 and Bailee rolled a 19))

Davy had almost committed to feeling like a badass when he managed to rip apart his chains, but when everyone else seemed to do so with ease, he felt significantly less like a badass. He stood up and brushed off his fur a bit, staring at the other two.. three, in the room. But the third had been summoned. She wasn't a card at all. The culprit was likely the Queen of Hearts, whom he's seen from afar but never really got to meet in person. Or if he had, it was so long ago as a child that he couldn't remember. What he knew of Xiven was that she and her mother didn't exactly… get along. Zuberi had actively avoided her for reasons the squirrel would not divulge. Davy caught the tail end of Xiven's frown, and his own nose wrinkled up a bit. Perhaps he was just biased against the woman because of his mother's aversion to her.
He pressed his paws into his back and leaned backwards, allowing the stiff joints to pop as he looked around. "Considering the both of ye look as confused as I am, I'm assuming you lot don't know what's going on, either. ?" He stared at the trunk on the floor, giving the top a bit of a push. When it didn't open, he abandoned it. Last time he tried to open something, he'd gotten a nasty curse. "Our captors did a shoddy damn job of chaining us, that much I know."
At the first bit of decency, Davy actually grinned and nodded toward the Corvistownian. "Nice indeed, but I damn sure wish it were under different circumstances. Davy's the name. Ah… I see what you're doing there…" He murmured, standing over the Corvie's shoulder as she picked the lock. That sadly, got boring in half a second. Instead, he took the time to give the room a good look around, glancing under the beds for either a clue as to where they were or why they were there, or something useful.

Xiven was thoroughly preoccupied with the door and not killing herself. Not to mention she was feeling a bit paranoid considering she could have sworn she heard her child. It was probably her imagination--she prayed it was.
Emeraude, however, was free to make introductions. "Haven't the slightest idea," she said quietly. The boy was a Midori... maybe he would have a few interesting things to say when this nightmare was over with. The Corvie... well at least she had determination.
"I apologize for not introducing ourselves sooner, this was a bit stressful," she gave a small shrug. "I'm Emeraude, and the lovely woman trying to pry open the door is Xiven. She's usually a bit grumpy when she wakes up so you'll have to excuse her."
Bailee nodded in acknowledgement when Davy introduced himself. Shrugging when he asked about if anyone knew what was happening. She continued to try to pick the lock, listening to what the green haired woman was saying. Shit, that was the Queen of Hearts then? What had she been thrown into?

Picking the lock and wedging the gap seems to have worked perfectly, the door opens and the two rooms are now connected. A very sudden chill seems to pass over everyone for a full 30 seconds, before it vanishes, everything going back to normal. The room where Vir was kept seems to be barren and empty...perhaps a more thorough search of both rooms will turn something up?

The sound of voices on the other side of the door grew louder, and Virtute's already frenzied efforts at getting their attention increased tenfold. She clawed. She yowled. She shouted and screamed and pounded at the door. She did everything she could think to do, short of attempting to take control of one of them and get herself out that way.
Something seemed to do the trick, because the next thing she knew, she could hear what sounded like someone on the other side tinkering with the lock.
Of course, that was enough to set her paranoia off all over again. Without the comfort of siblings or parents or lovers close by, it was all too easy to imagine that maybe the people on the other side of the door were... The same people who had trapped her here in the first place? Were they, perhaps, mad Corvies, wanting to do experiments on her? They had almost certainly already started, based on the way she was feeling. She braced herself, terror and hope clashing in her mind for dominance... Then stared at the people who had appeared.
"MOM!" the kitten screamed, running to the door as fast as her body would allow and flinging herself at the Queen, clinging as tightly to the woman as she could. "Mom, I can't believe it's you, I was so scared and...!" the words trailed off, giving way to a fit of coughing. "I lost my mask..."
