Makenna awoke feeling extremely ill to her stomach in what felt like a cold puddle of mud. Nearby, an uncharacteristically cold and angry Tegan sat up as well. Neither remember much aside from mundanely looking for things in the market...save Makenna's memory of an odd man dressed in a cloak... Nothing else there though, they do smell a bit...chemically; Tegan may recognize an overdose of Midori weed in the scent. Pickled, perhaps.
Yuri awoke about 30 feet from the pair, covered in soot and muck and unable to feel his toes properly for the cold snap to the air. He remembers nothing after getting a cup of tea and trying to figure out where Andrei might have gone...the man had been adventuring and stopped by the Palace, Yuri had been trying to get him to tell him stories all day.
Their surroundings appear to be...underground? Thick, damp stone walls surround them on every side and their voices echo ominously. There are a few strange-smelling lumps about 80 feet away, just on the edge of their torch-light vision...and those can only barely be seen. Careful, who knows what those might be. Other than that, there's a tunnel leading in one direction, and another leading behind them and down. Both are cold and smell strongly of mold.

Mrs. White had been purchasing some items for her employer when someone, she couldn't tell who or what, began to follow her! She recalls making it to the edge of the outer bazaar before a funny smell hit her, and then nothing. She awoke about 50 feet from the aforementioned pair above...her senses disoriented, and her left eye swollen shut. A rather thick chemical odor is smeared all around her muzzle...she recognizes some of the components as...things she may have used before. Hmph, it seems to have had a poor reaction on her eye. Well, not much to do but inspect her surroundings...

Cold, wet and ill, Makenna felt herself regretting waking up. Parts of her dress were soaked through and stuck uncomfortably to her body. She grabbed her stomach and moaned. What... where...? She did a few dry heaves. Maybe if she puked, she would feel better. She removed her mask and crawled over to a corner. The thought of sticking one of her clawed fingers down her own throat to force herself to puke did not sit well. She'd only heard this worked, but never put it into practice. On top of that, vomiting was just a completely unpleasant experience. UUGHHH, but at this point, it was worth trying it if it got rid of this feeling. Tegan was waking, she could deal with the where and what. Makenna would deal with this. Tegan woke and growled. Somebody was going to pay. She stood and took in her surroundings. Oh yes. Someone was going to pay. She turned to little Makenna who was wiping her mouth and breathing heavily. There was another body a ways away... Yuri? She looked bad at Makenna who waved at her to go to Yuri first. She stretched, growling again, then plodded slowly over to Yuri. "Hey," she said in a voice a little gruffer than she'd intended. The lingering odor of Midori weed was all to familiar to her. She did not like this at all.

Yuri roused quickly. Some primal sibling instinct had recognized Tegan's voice and recognized that it did not seem to indicate a good mood, and being alert and obedient seemed the best course of action. "I am up," he said. He could feel the grime coating his body like the tender embrace of a swamp monster, and he could hardly feel his extremities at all. Cold, he thought, it was all too cold. He looked around, past Tegan, and could see Makenna was there too. That was sort of a mixed blessing. Her human, non-Solandrian skin would be more sensitive to the cold than theirs. And she...did not look to be entirely well. But he was glad to see her. He just didn't have any idea where they were, or how they had all gotten here. He and his sisters hadn't been anywhere near each other, the last he could recall. But "here" was almost certainly subterranean, or else a particularly ominous structure. The walls were wet stone. There appeared to be no direct way out. Just a couple of tunnels. He thought, we've been entombed, with some uneven cocktail of horror, awe, and fascination, but he didn't say that out loud. It probably wasn't what anyone wanted to hear. "What is this place?" He looked at his sister again. "Is Makenna all right?"

Nellwyn White woke up. That in and of itself was a slightly odd thing, and always a bit disorienting, as if two different consciousnesses were both struggling to rise to the surface in the same narrow pool. But it was secondary to the fact that she was cold, and damp, and had no idea where she was. We're dead. Are we dead? What happened? Someone is going to PAY. Two voices waged their war in her head, until she thought she heard something, distantly echoing off stone. Mrs. White clawed her way to the top, forcing the darker side down, so she could get a handle on the situation properly. This is horrible, Nellwyn complained. I'm cold and I can't see out of my left eye!Mrs. White blinked, at that. Or tried to. Sure enough, one of her eyes seemed to be swollen shut. With a dainty gasp, she pushed herself up to her paws, swaying just a little, and looked around with her remaining good eye. Stone. Dark. Torchlight. There was an odd smell, and her whiskers twitched as she carefully tried to place it...and did. How dare he? HOW DARE HE? How could he dose me with something that! I'll slit his throat. It was coming back, now, and Mrs. White shut out her inner side's complaining as she focused on the memory. She had just been been shopping, picking up a few things McDuck had wanted ( Ungrateful, selfish bastard!) when she'd got that feeling of being followed...with a quiet, unhappy noise, the Tulgey padded over to one of the walls, running her paw over it. Annoyingly, it took a few tries to actually make contact. Having only one working eye was going to make this more difficult than she'd like. Inwardly, she was complaining again, but she felt the damp stone and tried to ignore it.

Tegan gave a grunt when he answered her and paid more attention to her surroundings, swiveling her enormous and highly sensitive Bat ears around for sounds of others. Of all the people to meet up, why family? Seemed a little too contrived to be coincidence.
"I don't know," she answered him quietly, "We're going to go to her now. Come on." She moved slowly at first to make sure he could follow. Meanwhile Makenna replaced her mask to its correct location and shivered. So cold... vomiting didn't help on that front. She did feel a little better, though (at least for now). On top of the cold mud-like substance, she was now covered in a thin film of a cold sweat. When Yuri approached her, she held out her arms. She wanted a hug. Quite badly.
"Are you alright?" asked Tegan quietly. Makenna shook her head.
"I'm not hurt, but I'm really cold and my stomach is really upset..."
The upset noise the Tulgey made caught Tegan's immediate attention, causing her to ignore Makenna. Her head snapped toward the noise with no hesitation and side stepped to put herself between the noise and her younger siblings. She waited, watching intently, for whoever it was to be seen.

Getting his legs to work right was the work of a moment; the awkward feeling in all his feet made starting forward a little odd, but they didn't have much ground to cross, and Tegan was going slow enough for all that her tone was clipped. Makenna really did look a little worse for wear. When she opened her arms he quickly folded himself into her embrace, sitting on his hindlegs and wrapping two sets of awkward coyote limbs around her, doing his best not to pull at his breathing tube. Sharing filth and warmth was surprisingly comforting.
"We'll get warmer if we hug," he told her. "And when we get out of here, we'll get some tea to help settle your stomach!"
He did not want to think of all the things that could be going wrong in there, it was a medical textbook of wretchedness. But he couldn't help but think it, and did, and put it out of his head. Tea seemed like a more important memory...It occurred to him that this was the last thing he could remember, before getting here--having a cup of tea and wondering where on earth Andrei had gotten off to.
Tegan's rapid move to defensive position caught his eye, then. She didn't seem to be making noise so he didn't either. He wondered what she had seen.

Mrs. White pulled her paw back after a moment, shaking it about to get rid of the clammy feeling on her pawpads. She gave the wall her best unimpressed stare with only one eye. It was damp stone and smelled vaguely mildewy, and that was about all she was going to get out of it. She turned, noticing there seemed to be torchlight up a little ways in the tunnel, and slowly, silently, walked towards it, not sure what would be there. She flicked her ears, inwardly annoyed and disgusted by the way the damp feeling clung to her long fur and made it stick down everywhere. Not to mention her swollen eye was making seeing where she was going a bit more difficult.
Still, she thought she heard voices echoing off the tunnels ahead. She was still too far to make out what they were saying, but another few minutes of walking would fix that. As soon as she was close enough to make out three small figures (children? Children, lost and alone here? she sneered inwardly) the Tulgey paused and drew herself up, just outside the circle of light cast by one of the torches on the wall. One of the figures, who looked older than the other two, come to think of it, was looking at her. Mrs. White flashed a friendly smile to the other Card, white teeth gleaming along with her eyes.
They are lost and alone with no one to call for help...someone needs to pay for drugging me and putting me here... Mrs. White dismissed that suggestion. It only took one look to see that the strange assortment had no more wish to be here than she, huddled all together like they were. Besides, they would be much more useful to her alive.

An odd, scraping, slithering sound can be heard in the tunnel at their backs... Almost as though something long and dry were moving down it very, very slowly...

Another Card appeared. If Tegan were not so wound up and angry, she would have taken note of how very pretty the Tulgey Feline was. However, as things were, Tegan took note that she looked like Tegan felt: groggy and angry, most likely bent on revenge. Good. That coupled with her pretty decent ranking, Tegan felt this alliance would be at least solid in it foundation. Hopefully solid enough to take down what they wanted needed to.
The sound that came from behind her, however, sent a little shiver up her spine. Her head snapped around toward it and she changed positions to put herself between it and the kids. Dammit, where was Siku! They'd drugged and kidnapped her and her family AND took her bander?
Bitches are going to die.
Makenna held onto Yuri. She was supremely unhappy with everything going on now and was straddling between crying from fear and giving into her rage. Tegan growled. Dammit. She wanted to fight whatever it was, but she couldn't risk the kids. It sounded slow enough.
"Alright, you two," she started up quietly. "We're going to get out of here. We'll make a quick look for something-- any kind of clues-- as to where we are and how we can get out, but if we can't, then get ready to just go and hope for the best." Makenna looked back at Tegan, then slowly let go of Yuri and got up very shakily. She nodded and crept across the room to search for something like a map. Tegan silently walked away, nudging Yuri away from the sound. She approached Ms. White.
"Hello." She was a bit curt, unable to hide her impatience or suspicion. Sure, maybe this was an ally, maybe not. She'd misjudged people in the past.
