Rosemary's ears pulled back as she looked at the strange woman. What had she just said? Not many people... knew about the strange things she did. Especially stories like the one her father had. It had always been the story she used to get her out of trouble. The story no one believed.
And now someone else seemed to have a similar story. Or was it the same one? She highly doubted that. Her eyes narrowed as she continued to stare at the woman. Was it at all possible? This is someone she had crossed paths with before? No. She couldn't have.
"You have my interest. But if I've heard this story before...." She gave a snort. "Now stop stalling and tell me the story before I get bored."
So she waited, and would hang on every single word the woman spoke. It would be difficult to miss that with the way she was staring.

Tegan raised an eyebrow. Heard this story before? She doubted it. Pale didn't want this story getting out at all. If other people had heard of it happening, she was sure she would know. The way she was staring, however, was quite curious.
"Honestly doubt you would have. You see, this isn't one of those 'it happened to the friend of a guy my second cousin removed knows' type of stories. This happened right in the place I was born and raised for most of my life. In fact, it happened to a direct relative.
Eighteen years ago as of two days ago, I was born to a noble in the Court of Hearts. The second Club to be born to this particular noble and her Spade lover, in fact," she paused at the awkwardness. She'd used the phrase "in fact" just two sentences ago and it put an awkward chink in the story.
"In the litter born before me, there were two children. the first born was the other scandal child, the Club son. The second was a lowly Six, but a Heart. This Heart girl grew up and worked her way to King.
As she grew, her mental instability became apparent. She was put on some medication or another to subdue it. However, something else became apparent, too. Some people who hear voices are crazy, but some Hearts who hear voices actually have someone else living inside their mind.
This was the case with my sister. She was one of the lucky few Hearts to have a Summoned Weapon. Pretty Scythe he was. A Club-hating son of a bitch, but pretty nonetheless.
After some time she fell in love with a Queen and a King. This particular pair of Queen and King were, in fact, half-siblings. They both fought for complete affection from their divided lover. The battle over her turned for the worse and the Queen murdered the King.
In her despair, she left her home at the Court, leaving her Weapon behind. For the longest time, no one knew where she went, only that she left behind her children, her remaining lover, her title responsibilities, and her Weapon behind.
Then one day the Weapon had had enough and left the place his Summoner had told him to stay. Sadly, I was not there and he refuses to tell anyone what happened, but when he returned he had her ranking and suit upon his chest. He had a pulse and a breathed like everyone else. He Summons a Scythe, just like she did, but now when it takes form of a living person, it's my sister who appears." She gave a smirk, looking back at the rose-woman, waiting for a reaction.

She stared at the girl for a long moment. Oh it was a story she had heard before, only in part. However, she wasn't particularly sure of what to say. Pale probably wasn't going to be... thrilled about this.
Rosemary narrowed her eyes and lowered her head. "That lowly six, Rhiannon, was a good friend of mine. So I don't think you should tell her and Apocalypse's story so freely. Even in a life or death situation, you shouldn't use your friends and family as pawns. Or it has a tendency.... to come back and bite you."
She gave the girl a toothy grin. She summoned Forge, his human for appeared the instant afterward. The bright red head was behind her with a rather curious expression on his face. He knew full well that Rosemary didn't want a fight. And hoped the girl wouldn't be gun hoe to.
"But, I suppose I'll let you live. I mean, after all, I think dear sweet Apocalypse would come up with a better punishment than I every could." She said cheerfully. "Forge, you think it was a good enough story right?"
"The delivery was pretty lame. But the fact that she's drop dead sexy made up for it."
Rosemary shrugged as she stood up. That was good enough.

Tegan's jaw dropped. How... how in the hell had she managed to get completely lost in the middle of nowhere and have the only person she'd told that story be someone who not only knew her sister, but knew what became of her? That was beyond ridiculous. Being kicked out was almost understandable. It was years of her own actions that had lead to that event. But THIS?! Only the entirety of Fate conspiring against her could have made that happen.
She was knocked out of her complete disbelief by the red-haired man suddenly appearing. She jumped and her hackles raised, ready for a fight. where in the HELL did he come from? She almost activated her ring ability when there was more speaking. Shit. Apocalypse. If she thought the talk he'd given her once when she got on his nerves was bad, she couldn't imagine what he'd do if he'd heard about this. Then the man, forge, spoke. His statement made Tegan's face twitch. She really didn't care how bad her story was, only that she got out, but his comment about her looks was both flattering and annoying. She watched the other woman stand up.
"So... what's next?"

She smirked. "You have several options. I have the ability to get where I want to go no matter what. And I can lead you through you to your destination without incident. That or we could break before it gets dark at my "house" of sorts. Or I could just leave you to get lost in the Wood again. Completely up to you."
Forge sighed, apparently he was just here to re-enforce the fact that Rosemary had a slight upper hand as far as knowledge went. He eyed the bander suspiciously. Rosemary never was fond of the little things. Here in the Wood they were rather nasty. Domesticated didn't really seem much better. "It might be better to take a rest." He added with a small somewhat charming smile.
The wolf mix shrugged. "It's really up to you Miss...? What exactly is your name. Rhi never mentioned her siblings other than Hadrian."

Tegan looked up. What little sky that was coming through the canopy was just starting to turn slightly pink. She knew that even if she got to the border, she wouldn't be past the Wood or the Bog, neither of which she wanted to spend the night in front of. Not only that, she was now intensely curious as to how this woman knew her sister and why they were so close that she would know about the Weapon-Summoner switch secret. Or that Rhi would be around enough to talk about Hadrian.
"Did I hear you right in you offering hospitality for the night?" she asked, hoping she had. Siku's hackles suddenly raised and she sneezed as she stared at some bushes nearby. Tegan turned her head to look. She really hoped her question would be answered soon. Siku was a wonderful companion, but had a habit of picking fights with other animals. She really didn't want her little companion to get into a scuffle with something from the Tulgey Wood.
"My name is Tegan. This is Siku," she raised a paw to tap Siku on the side. The bander twitched and whipped her head around to her master and gave a small cough. Her head went back so she could watch the bushes. "And you are?"

Rosemary watched the bander. Oh dear. She just hoped that was a small man eating vermin or something. The wolf mix nodded emphatically, "I would be offering hospitality. After all you did give me an interesting story, and you could prove to be useful later." She grinned with a little bow as she walked past the bander without a second thought, Forge following.
"I'm Rosemary. I had a little affair at the court of Hearts. It was a bit of a mess but... I got a daughter out of it." She sighed. "Don't lose sight of me. We need to hurry before night falls."
Without hesitation she lead the way through the dense wood. It was clear that she knew exactly where she was going, and there would be nothing to worry about unless night did fall. When they arrived at the small village the wolf-squirrel didn't slow until they reached the tiny cottage that sat on the edge. She opened the door with a smile. "It's nothing much, but it'll do for the night."

Tegan didn't much like the sound of potentially 'being useful later', but she reminded herself that she really didn't have much of a choice and followed. The bander paid little mind to Rosemary as she passed, but followed along with her Master. Tegan followed behind, but made sure to keep Rosemary between her and the red head. She listened as they walked.
"Wow..." vaguely, she wondered if said affair was with Rhi. She wouldn't put it past her sister. Now that she was letting her guard drop a little, shew as finding this other woman much more attractive, "Will I get to meet this kid at your home?"
She was glad that when they got to the village, she wasted no time getting them inside. With what she knew of the natives, the less of them that knew there was a foreigner around, the better.
"Thank you," she said with a nod and entered the open door.

"No, she lives at the palace. I don't thing subjecting her to my off kilter adventures is all that good of an idea." She gave a small shrug as she continued to lead the way.
She grinned. The woman had quite a lovely ass to go with that little thank you. Forge stifled a laugh at his summoners thoughts as he entered after the mix realm and bander. He went to work, going to make tea for them to drink. Rosemary shut the door behind them and hurried to light a few candles and shut the binds.
This way no one would bother them, and no one would come to check. She shuddered at the thought of her father coming to visit at a time like this. "I apologize for the mess," Rosemary said as she pulled down one of the blinds. "This used to be where my mother lived before she met my father. My brother and I just used it now and again. So, make yourself comfortable."

Tegan gave Rosemary a confused look. She lives at the Palace? Who in the... her eyes went wide at the realization. There was a little Club Squirrel running around with the very same mutation of the parchment color and scrawl markings. The girl was barely 2 or 3. But that... that was Pale's kid.
"You... but... whuuu...?" Tegan stammered, completely dumbfounded. Pale hated Clubs. How the hell did she manage to have sex with him? She just stared as Rosemary and Forge went about their business. Siku trotted around the room sniffing at various things.
"Er, uh. Yeah," she said, snapping out of her shock, "No, it's fine. I have no problem with it. The fact that you even offered me a place to stay for the night makes up for any mess. I appreciate it."
