She was shocked? Rosemary took a decent note of that as she lit the last candle in the room. Maybe she had made the connection about her and Pale. Ugh, that was still horribly embarrassing to think about. If it weren't for that strange woman there wouldn't have been so many bloody complications. And there wouldn't be Linnea, but... that wasn't the point.
And at least this Tegan person was thankful. "So, Tegan. You clearly grew up in the palace. So... what exactly are you doing here? You could have been killed if it was any other Tulgey. Hell. My pansy sister probably would have tried to kill you if she found an outsider in the Wood."
Yes. She still considered herself a Tulgey damnit. Even if she didn't have her wings she was always a Tulgey. The wolf mix popped her head out of the bedroom door. "You might as well come in here. This is the only place that has a piece of furniture." And that was simply a mattress on the floor besides the candle holders, if those even counted.
Forge had finished warming up the tea, and brought it into the bedroom along with a small table to set the tray on. It looked rather pitiful in the almost empty room, but it was better than nothing. The weapon in human form flopped on the back of the bed. Rosemary had seated herself so she could drink the tea.

"I... the Woods were not my destination. I meant to pass by it, but I got pulled away from the path crossing right outside the border," it was a little embarrassing to admit she got lost while being distracted by her own thoughts. She hoped it would be left at that. If not, she would come up with some lie about her bander seeing something and running off into the Wood ahead. She followed Rosemary into the sparse bedroom and made herself comfortable on the mattress. The hut was small enough that her bander could continue exploring in the other room and Tegan could still keep an eye on her.
As soon as Tegan lied down, she realized how tired she was. She just eyed the tea, wondering if it was worth getting back up for. Instead she just looked back at Rosemary and admired her. Pretty thing. One of her eyebrows twitched when the tongue came out so she could drink her tea. Maybe her luck was coming back. She was lost in one of the most dangerous places in the known world, only to be found by a friend of Rhiannon's. She felt safe.
"Do you mind if I ask how you know my sister?"

She didn't believe that one bit. But she would stay quiet. Whatever the reason Tegan had accidentally wandered into the place and found here. What a fascinating twist of fate.
The wolf mix continued to lap her tea until the question was asked. She paused, her tongue sticking out as she glanced over at the woman. She gave a small sigh, and sat up straight. How long had it been since they had met each other. "We were kids. And I was a trouble maker.... so we had a little adventure and caused quite a bit of chaos. It was pretty fantastic and we decided to stay in contact with each other. I sent her letters, you know, all that stuff. I never had very many friends so...."
Her whole body uncharacteristically drooped. She felt Forge's hand on her back as a small reminder not to break down at a time like this. She perked up again. "So yeah. We were crazy kids looking for a fun time."

Tegan looked back at the other woman paused in her drinking. Her eyes drifted from looking Rosemary back in the eyes down to her exposed tongue piercing. She watched the way the muscle moved as Rosemary sat up. Tegan also notice, as she lazily lounged on the mattress not bothering to move a muscle, that Rosemary's voice seemed slightly wilted as she answered. Vaguely, she wondered if they were lovers. Hell, Pale had already seem to take Rhiannon's spot in everything, including the beds of her former lovers. considering the two of them had a kid, well. It just made her lean toward that answer.
She sighed and closed her eyes, letting herself melt a little more into the mattress. It was not a very good mattress, but it beat the ground or the mattresses at some of the hotels she'd been staying at on her trip.
"Sounds like it was fun. Rhi was always fun back before... well. Yanno," Tegan hoped no offense would be taken by her bringing that up again. She was just too relaxed and let her mouth run on ahead. "I know Tulgeys love their home, but have you ever considered leaving it? Seems like it'd be pretty difficult to make friends in a place like this. That, and you seem to get along with non-Tulgeys just fine." She twisted her body to look up at Forge. That red hair was definitely not the product of Tulgey genetics.

Rosemary shifted her weight on the bed a little. Forge had removed his hand and was content with staring at the ceiling. If he had the chance he would have preferred staring at the new comers lovely behind, however he figured if he played his cards right Rosemary would let him stick around for a bit.
"Ha!" She snorted. "I leave the Wood pretty often. Hell, I just randomly decided to come back to check up on my Dad actually. I normally live in the Capital.... but people just aren't all that friendly when you're a loud mouthed strange looking Tulgey. I hate to admit that the fear of our region still exists. Then again, I can understand why most of the time."
Of course that brought up another subject. "You're pretty bold. To waltz so close to the Wood when most people run away terrified. Must be your up bringing."

She curled back to get comfortable on the bed again, looking back at Rosemary rather than Forge. When she finished talking, Tegan stretched as she laid on her side. Her brow furrowed and a fang poked out from her top lip a little as she worked to work out small knots that were making themselves apparent as the other muscles around them relaxed. She flopped back down, rolling her shoulders once or twice before settling again.
This whole thing was just getting weirder. This woman hardly ever came here? That pretty much settled it. They were fated to meet. Now all that was left was seeing what the woman had to offer her.
"I'm honestly surprised there are people who know you're a Tulgey. I never would have known if I hadn't been told," she smirked. Bold. Yeah, she liked this compliment, "I was curious to at least see it as I passed. I can't say I'm disappointed so far." Her smirk subtly dipped into something else as her eyes flicked from head to tail and back. A soft clack of claws and a sniffing nose came in shortly after. The blue speckled bander looked up at all three of them and climbed onto the mattress and curled up on it. Tegan turned her glance from the bander to Rosemary, giving Rosemary a look asking if she had a problem with that.

Her ears pulled back at the reminder of her appearance. "I used to look like one until I did something stupid. Here's a lesson for you, if you ever find a strange book no one else can read but you, do not read the strange spells in the margins. They back fire sometimes."
She waved a dismissive paw. If she thought about it much longer she might get angry. That wouldn't be very productive unless there was some way to vent that anger.
Rosemary watched as the bander appeared. Her eyes narrowed as she watched the creature. She didn't like them. But she had never come across one that didn't try to kill her. She gave a small nod that it was fine before taking a few more laps of her tea. It was nice to know the woman wasn't disappointed. Though...
Forge pushed a little idea in her head which was hard to ignore. "Not disappointing so far you say? We could always have more fun, you know. There isn't much to do here."
Forge, quite suddenly, disappeared from his place on the bed.

Tegan nodded slowly and she looked at the markings on Rosemary's body. The roses... seemed to not fit with the rest of it and the smell was lovely. She didn't really notice it until now. Outside, she'd just assumed there was a wild bush of roses she hadn't noticed, but sitting in this room with the scent getting stronger, it was obvious what the real source was. A wave of bitterness swept through her. That smell... reminded her of the Court, which just brought a flood of memories of the things she knew was her fault and how she actively denied it. She had to keep reminding herself that she was on her way to better things now.
Siku stood back up and kneaded the mattress underneath her, in an attempt to make it more comfortable, then settled back down. Tegan smiled at her pet, then turned her head back just in time to see Forge disappear completely. She jumped, not expecting that at all. She stared at the place where he used to be, heart beating twice as fast as it was before. She would have started making a few moves on Rosemary at this point considering they were now alone save for an animal, but the shock of the man suddenly vanishing threw her for a loop. She had just suddenly appeared when they were outside, but she'd just assumed in her rationalization after the event she was too distracted and worried about other things and just hadn't noticed him. After all, Rosemary was a Club and therefore had no Summoned Weapon, and people didn't just appear and vanish like that. Now she knew better.

She gave the woman a toothy grin. The shock was something she enjoyed seeing, she couldn't help it. Everyone knew that Clubs didn't have summonable weapons so when she or her sister took advantage of this fact, it just made things so much more.... exciting.
"My great great great.... great great Grandfather on my father's side happened to be the Highlander mage e'Devya. I don't particularly enjoy broadcasting it, but he had a rather interesting hobby concerning summonable weapons. He decided to make a pair of twin swords... ones that could bond to anyone. My Aunt was keeping them a secret until I so brilliantly decided to steal them with my sister. Sometimes dumb adventures pay off." She said with a snort.
Forge was cracking up in the back of her head as Rosemary tried to remain somewhat composed. It didn't work very long as she giggled a bit. "Seriously, look." She summoned Forge as a weapon, grabbing him in her mouth. She dismissed him just as simply.

e'Devya. Oh yes, she'd heard that name. He was on a list of names she had the option of writing an essay on back when she had a tutor. She'd done the research on most of the people on the list before deciding she'd learned enough and didn't bother to write the essay. She just watched as Rosemary resummoned and desummoned the sword. A smirk crept across her face.
"That... that is so cool," she laughed quietly in awe. She was quite envious and she fully admitted it to herself. Well, she did have an excellent ice ring adorning one of her toes, but she couldn't make blizzards whenever she felt like it. "Does it have an Animal and Biped form yet?" she asked curiously. This woman was getting more and more interesting.
