Forge forced a smile before turning the pour the syrup onto the pancakes. He did not like this woman. She was... annoying to put it nicely. And apparently she thought he was just some sort of pretty face that took orders.
His and twitched as he sprinkled the walnuts on. He slipped the bacon on the side of the plate, offering it to the woman. He had half a mind to drop it on her head.
Maybe if she decided to get better acquainted with Rosemary he'd have a chance to. The thought was enough to make him smirk. He raised an eyebrow at the question. "No," was his simple reply.
Meanwhile Rosemary stared at the bander, and promptly pulled her plate away. She put herself between the bander and the food. She snapped up most of her bacon in a few chomps. Mmm. Crispy. Her fluff of a tail shielded her plate just in case the little creature decided to pester her.

Part of Tegan felt annoyed that he didn't carry to the room for her. She was a guest, after all! then again, she would much rather not have him present for her time with Rosemary. She took the plate from him and returned the raised eyebrow. No. He was just rude. Fine. She would be the better person and walk away. Maybe even get back at him later for it.
The Bnader pressed forward, trying to get around Rosemary to her food. She was sure the food was close enough to the ground to qualify as hers. She backed off as soon as Tegan came in the room and acted as if she wasn't up to anything. Tegan set herself beside Rosemary with a healthy amount of personal space between them.
"She wasn't trying to do something to you, was she?" she asked after putting her food down, giving the bander a an annoyed quizzical look.

When her back was turned the weapon flipped her off. Stupid bitch.
Rosemary's ears perked when she heard the other woman enter the room. She shot the bander a glare as it pretended it wasn't doing anything bad.
The canine gave a small shrug as she swallowed a bite of pancake. "She was trying to get at my bacon. Then again it's partly my fault for not having a proper table around here." She snorted before turning in the direction of the kitchen. Where was Forge anyway?
The weapon was taking his sweet time pouring the drinks. Milk for Rosemary, whatever was left over for that lovely guest. Which ultimately ended up being orange juice. He just hoped that it was still good considering he had no idea how long it had been in the ice box.
He walked in with the two bowls, ignoring the bander as he set the blow down besides Rosemary, and then Tegan. He gave the woman a strained smile before walking back out of the room.
Rosemary raised a furry brow. Gee. He was in a bad mood.

"Oh," she replied then started on her food. Well, no harm no foul, right? She didn't say anything about the furniture. Now that she was experiencing less fear, she was being more critical. It was kind of pathetic, really. Still she thought before she could stop herself, At least she has a home. The thought made her pause, unable to move without losing the control over the temper that had suddenly flared. She swallowed, a mask of calm returning to her.
"I'll feed her after. Is it alright if she took some of the left overs? If you're coming with me, would I be right in assuming you didn't want to leave food here when you have no idea when you're coming back?" she asked, "If not, it's fine. I have some food for her packed."

Rosemary watched the other woman. Her head tilted to one side. What was that face herm? What was so upsetting anyway? The wolf squirrel averted her gaze back to her food after a moment. Staring wasn't exactly polite, so said her father.
She gobbled up a pancake was Tegan continued to speak. Even if she didn't like banders it was a fairly good idea. Better than letting food go to waste. After all the icebox here wasn't as nearly as good as the one back at her apartment in the Capital. And time ruined some things regardless of how useful the icebox was.
Rosemary swallowed before speaking. "That's fine, eating the left overs that is. There's not much else that can be done with them. Though I imagine we can pack some for later so we don't actually have to scrounge up food when near the Lowlands."
Trusting food near the Lowlands, what an awful idea.
Meanwhile Forge was digging in the supply closet for Rosemary's coat. Or coats really, along with the pack so she could carry the supplies. Of course the closet was such a mess. Cleaning. One day he would bully Rosemary into cleaning the blasted thing.

"Ah, yes. Very good idea," she said with a slight wrinkle of her nose. She'd only heard stories of the Lowlands, but all of them were unpleasant. Tegan looked over at the sound of more sniffing. Siku was stalking something. If she catches it, then there would be more food rations for us, she thought, not interrupting the bander's hunt.
----
After some small talk and eating later, they were on the road. Tegan was starting to feel a little anxious again. they were on the road again, and she was putting all of her trust in this woman to guide her safely through the Tulgey Wood. She wasn't used to putting so much trust into one person. It felt strange, but she couldn't tell if she disliked it or not.

Rosemary could never be lost. It was impossible. And with great confidence she led them through the Wood without some sort of horrible event. She skipped all of the small villages among the Woods to avoid any complications--she looked like an outside and she was traveling with one. And thankfully none of the wonderful critters were around to harass them. She honestly didn't feel like fighting a jubjub bird or some other nonsense.
Forge was back inside of her mind, sulking. That was the best description for it. Rosemary mentally patted him every so often before returning her attention to the path.
"We're close to the edge," she announced quietly as she slipped through the brush. After this they would have to still have to pass the Lowlands and the Range before they got to the Glacier. There was no safe place to stay around here. And Rosemary hoped the woman would be willing to walk a little while longer.

As they traveled, Tegan's huge ears swiveled back and forth the entire time. She felt nervous putting so much trust in this stranger. Sleeping with her was one thing, but following her off the beaten path in the middle of the Tulgey wood? She felt some anxieties setting in and began hatching a plan for her escape, should it be needed. She was caught between giving both her surroundings and her survival planning her full attention. Rosemary's voice made her jump a little.
Tegan looked ahead. The trees really did seem to be thinning out. She could see more light than before.
"Good," she replied, "About where on the border will we pop out?"

That was a good question. Rosemary's tail twitched as she stepped over a rather large branch. "The tip of Tulgey closest to the Lowlands."
The Lowlands were a nasty place. They could have always followed the wall along the Bog, but then they would have had to go through the middle of the Lowlands. That was just a horrible idea. She had never been that far in and she never wanted to be. That place was utterly disgusting and just filled to the brim with nasty.
"Technically we have two options when we get there. We go through the Lowlands, then through Sorgaire, and we arrive at the Glacier. The other which I firmly believe is the right option is going through uncharted territory, through a small strip of the Mid-Range, through Sorgaire and then we arrive at the Glacier." She took a breath, "And here we are. The light at the end of the long road ahead of us."

Tegan nodded. that seemed like a good place to be. It was certainly the choice she would have made.
"I'm going to agree with you with your thought. I'd rather chance uncharted territory than knowingly go through the Lowlands. Though would it be possible to stop for lunch before going beyond the borders? I don't really want to chance stopping for any amount of time in uncharted territory." Thought she was arrogant, the King had learned the hard way that being ambushed was not a fun thing and that even those of high rank were in danger.
The sunlight pouring in streams through the trees was a beautiful thing. She'd be more than happy to get out of these woods. Even the very air here put her on edge. She didn't say anything, though. She didn't want to insult the home of the person who just got her out of the Tulgey Wood alive.
