No, Thyme didn't really want to say anything else about the accursed dead bug that had fucked up her life so very royally. Hearing her aunt describe things in such a cool, calm tone was partly reassuring since she didn't hear any kind of disgust in the woman's voice and she figured that if she would have, it would have been then. That extra reassurance that she was still a purebred Highlander was also quite welcome.
Femi tapped thoughtfully at her teacup, claw tinking agaist the white porcelain. "That certainly explains the way I felt a little earlier. I... don't know how I feel about not being able to hug my own daughter without getting dizzy. But really, it's neither of your faults. Just very strange. I don't really care what she is, so long as she's still our little girl."
The girl could have rolled her eyes and probably would have if it had been anyone but Mom. She was just like that. Sometimes it was cute, but sometimes it just drove her daughter nuts. She was so glad she'd gotten her dad's smarts.

Rosemary made a discontent sound. Not being able to hug her sister again was kind of miserable. Oh well, she could drop the touchy feely when she absolutely had to. This meant she couldn't lick her sister either. That was pretty sad. "Eh well sis. I bet you Parsley would be pretty jealous. He always gets a kick out of these things."
Kazifel would have rolled his eyes but he sipped his tea instead. He set the cup down and looked at the three of them. "Well, I suppose you'll all be staying the night. If you want to stay any longer you're be welcome to, but I imagine you all have work to do. Also, Thyme, Rosemary, you don't mind sharing a room with your sister do you?"
They only had one guest room, and he knew how the girls sometimes had problems getting along. Hopefully things had gotten better now that they were older, but... Kazifel never understood women.

Thyme snorted. "Maybe I'll go to Corvistowne and roll on him then, see if he's jealous when he's passed out on the floor. If I could have given him that damned bug, I would have." Let him be unhuggable and smell things with his ass and be covered in ugly green. Ugh. She hated all of this so much...
And now. To top it all off. Just because it wasn't bad enough. She would have to share a room with Sage again. She wanted to growl but refrained because it was horrible manners and she knew it wasn't her parents' fault. Besides, Aunt Josephine would give her a Look for it. She just knew this trip would be a pain. "We'll be fine, Dad," she said with a small nod, twitchy about it on the inside. Her sister would laugh at her. Her sister would take one look, point with her bipedal hand, and fall on the floor howling. She knew it.
Femi stroked Kazifel's thigh absently, it being nearest the hand that rested on her lap. "It will be nice having everyone over for dinner, but that means we'll have to start it a little bit early... more mouths and all that."

Josephine gave Thyme a look for the brother comment. That was terribly rude of her to say out loud. The old woman didn't want to know what she was thinking, it was probably ten times worse.
Rosemary shrugged, "I'd pay to see that." She was worried though about spending the night with Sage and Thyme in the same room. Something may just explode if that happened.
Kazifel was thankful at the change so subject. Dinner he could handle, even if they had a few more mouths to feed than originally expected. He grinned, "I should get to fixing dinner then. I guess I'll have to change the meal plan a bit., but it should be ready around the same time if I can help it." He stood up and gathered the empty teacups, leaving the tray and the teapot where they were. Josephine wasn't quite finished with hers. He wasn't about to take it away.
Rosemary wiggled in her seat as she watched her Dad leave. Now there was the whole Sage thing to deal with. "Let's go upstairs, Thyme. We have a bit of talking to be had."

Femi refrained from making a face at Kazifel for going to the kitchen and leaving her in a room with his aunt and no one else, since the girls were going to leave. "As soon as you're done your tea, I can show you to the guest room and let you get settled until dinner's ready," she offered politely instead. This was the woman who was helping to raise one of her daughters. Well, who had helped raise Thyme, when she was still young enough to really need it. Now... she was effectively an adult. They all were.
It was a mildly depressing thought, but not, at the same time.
Sighing, Thyme nodded to her sister and murmured a polite "Excuse me, Aunt," before following her sister out of the room. Goodie. She was going to see the sister she'd quite happily avoided for going on four years now. "Is she still as bad as ever?" she muttered as they went up the stairs.

"Thank you, Femi, I appreciate it," Josephine said with a small smirk as she took a small sip of her drink. She was going to drag this out as long as possible. Making her a little bit uncomfortable wouldn't be a problem would it? Kazifel probably wouldn't notice would he? She nodded as she watched Thyme go. Rosemary shrugged as she hopped up the stairs two at a time. "She's Sage. Gotten a bit better, but I doubt you'd believe me." It was the horrible truth. Thyme wouldn't give Sage a chance. No matter what. That was just the way her sisters were. Hell if Rosemary could understand why they couldn't get along. It was easy. Sage fiddled with one of the dolls that she had made. It didn't look like anyone in particular, it was just something that she wanted to make and show Daddy. He was impressed, though he commented about her craftsmanship. She had to get a lot better if she was going to sell them. The girl looked up with a start when she heard the door open. She watched with wide eyes as Rosemary and Thyme walked in. Her jaw dropped and she stared in shock at Thyme.

Thyme rolled her eyes and nodded at her sister's comment. No, she didn't really believe her. Sage was Sage no matter what, as much a braggart and Mommy's girl as ever. That wasn't something that could ever change, as far as she saw it.
When they walked into the room that they had once all shared, she took one look at the shocked expression on Sage's face and her mood instantly turned sour. She bared her teeth, not even giving the other girl a chance to say anything. It was better to be on the defensive with Sage than to listen to her say anything painful, or so she'd always believed. "Hey, sis. Gee, thanks for the look. Good to see you too. Yeah, I'm green. Fucking get over it."
Her opinion of her sister combined with the humiliation and upset at her new appearance all came out in those snarled words, emotion she couldn't express properly around her aunt or parents.

Sage looked at her sister wide eyed before shaking her head frantically. What the hell had happened? Her sister may have been a bitch but... "Are you okay?" she asked quietly as she looked at the Highlander wolf. Honestly if her sister looked so very mutated then... well something had to have happened.
"She's fine," Rosemary interjected as she walked over to her bed and flopped on it. "Just don't bitch fight at each other, please. For once be civil about all this. We're adults now, that has to count for something."
Yeah right. Thyme hated Sage and Sage hated Thyme to some degree. Therefore the pair of them never got along. She was surprised the two didn't get in cat fight. Well, dad wouldn't really appreciate that she supposed. Maybe he was the only reason why they hadn't killed each other yet. Rosemary snorted at the very thought.

Thyme forced herself to stop snarling when Rose asked, though she dearly wished she could. Half the time she couldn't tell whether Sage was being sincere in her concern or whether she was just acting that way because she was expected to. Sometimes the answer was both and sometimes it was just one or the other. She had a feeling this was both.
It was nice that her bed was still in here. She walked over and hopped up, turning her back to the other two. Then she realized that just showed off the green and growled at herself, turning back around to face them. "I accidentally slept on a moth," she said flatly, ears going from flat against her skull to just back in displeasure. "If you don't want that pure white coat of yours sullied, stay away from dead bugs. They might be enchanted and make you ugly too."
And now, around both of her pure Tulgey sisters, she felt less attractive than ever. Pure white had always been the idea, growing up in the Wood. She'd been proud of her differences, the Highlander red and gold across her fur, but she was not proud of this blemish.
