"I take it you are planning on joining the Heart Court then?" He asked, his tone such that even if it was blatantly obvious the question would not sound lame.
Hailing down the waitress he ordered them booth a slice of cheesecake. On this one he was going to have to be greedy, there was no way that he was going to share a piece. After the waitress had left with their old dishes and the order, Iggy rested on elbow on the table, his chin resting on the clenched fist.
"Well, our Court's huh? At the current moment there is peace between that of the Hearts and Clubs, a treaty of trade having been established. It is the first time there has been peace between them in years." He gave a nod of his head. In his training growing up he had been forced to learn all of the messy political things.
He paused for a moment before leaning forward his tone going barely over a whisper, as if to depart some great secret. "They are very good friends, you know, Their Majesties Shinrai and Aderlass."

The Highlander mix sent him another one of her mysterious smiles, an expression that reassured the other that she acknowledged his words, but not necessarily that she would answer his question. In fact, before she did, he was wonderfully ordering cheesecake for both of them. Instead of answering, she let their attention shift.
"Yay, cheesecake!" the woman said happily, clapping her hands together briefly.
Dre tilted her head at him again as he answered her question and she smiled encouragingly at his words. She very much liked his voice, the falcon/equine decided suddenly. It was very low and sounded as though it didn't get as much use as it deserved. She would much rather keep it for herself, though. She leaned when he did, her ears tilting forward to catch his soft words and another smile broke out across her face. "Is that a fact?" Wot does that mean for you?"
Drostan rolled his eyes and shifted on the woman's feet again. He was bored.

After he had departed the 'secret' he took a bite of the cheesecake. It was beyond delicious. He had never had this place's before but he made a mental note to definitely come back for more later. Reminding himself not to devour it all at once he took another small bite before continuing.
"It means that my birth would have come under different circumstances," he did not explain further on what he meant by that. "Not to mention it also means that I am also very lucky in where my loyalties lie." After all it would be difficult to so easily go between Courts like he frequently did if the Hearts and Clubs were not at peace.
It was odd that he was talking so much, especially so freely in front of someone that he did not particularly know. He wondered what it was about this female that had him speaking so freely. For a moment he was a little worried, though he would not let it show.

Dre twirled her fork thoughtfully before spearing it down through the edge of her piece of cheesecake quite decisively. The movement made her smile and for a moment she was distracted from their conversation. Her wings shuffled slightly before she turned her pleased expression back towards the man.
Bless the hills, he was a good looking Card. Her tail feathers fluffed out for a moment before she concentrated on resettling them. She daintily took the first bite and her eyes slipped closed in heavenly pleasure. All of her feathers ruffled for a moment as she swallowed. "This," she stated solemnly. "Was an excellent idea."
Drostan debated about whether or not cheesecake was enough of a draw to embarass himself by having to beg. The whole concept made him even more grumpy and the people in his immediate vicinity began to shiver uneasily.
Dre's attention finally returned to their conversation. He was playing his cards quite close to his chest. It was quite intriguing. "I feel as though we should start playing Twenty Questions," she teased him lightly.

Taking another bite he glanced at her from under hooded eyes. She really was very pretty woman, if that was the proper words to describe her beauty, and she always seemed to be in some form of graceful movement. It was something that was like a constant dance, always engaging the eyes. He had not been around many woman, especially none who had caught his attention as she did. As she enjoyed the cheesecake he could not suppress a grin.
"I am glad that you are enjoying it."
After taking another bite he decided he was for the most part full and glancing down at the uneasy feeling coming from the Ace, though it was nothing like the one that Juris could cause, he decided to take a little pity on the poor creature. Stretching his arm out he aimed it so that it would sweep his plate off the table. Suddenly the Ace would find himself with the remainder of cheesecake from the male at his front paws.
Stretching his arms up-wards, having been one continual motion, he showed no sign of acknowledging anything had just happened. He gave her a sly smile before leaning over and stealing a small piece of hers. He enjoyed the small piece more then he had his, simply because it had been hers. Placing his fork down on the edge of her plate he folded his arms on the table.
"It kind of does. How about you lead off, than?" He was interested to learn more about her.

Drostan blinked in surprise to discover that there was now cheesecake in front of him on a light-blessed plate. He came up enough that he was mostly sitting on his hindquarters. Shock caused the rage to ebb away and the grison now spent some time debating exactly what he should do about this new circumstance. Now that it was on the floor, nobody else would want to eat it, and once upon a time he would have scoffed at such an offering. Now, however. . . his lot in life had certainly changed. With a depressed sigh, the Spade began to cleanly eat the cheesecake.
Dre's eyes twinkled mischievously as the male hybrid stole a little corner of her cheesecake and she raised her fork like a sparring rapier. Still, she was touched that he chose to share with her pet so she soon let her utensil drop back into the cheesecake.
She was pleased that he agreed to her game, so she decided to start easy on him. "How many siblings do you have?"

He was ready for her fork becoming a weapon and raised an eyebrow as if daring her to try it. After he had finished the piece off he licked his chops, determined to have every last taste of the piece.
"As far as I know I have two half siblings, Elyse and Hadyn, both of them from my father's mate. Elyse lives here in the Capital as a healer, though I have not really had the chance to met her yet. Hadyn disappeared a few years back after a fight with dad. No one has really seen him since." Technically his family branched off a little farther then that, considering that he had been raised with Se and Ira he often thought of them as family.
"Now how about you? How many siblings did you grow up with?" It was unoriginal of a question, more of throwing the same hook back, but it was something that interested him as well regardless.

She assumed that since they were just half-siblings they had less of an interest in knowing each other, even though that concept was strange to her. After all, family was family.
Nevertheless, she answered his question with a bright smile, "I grew up with three siblings. Two brothers, one older and one younger, and a younger sister." There was something behind that smile, something a bit darker and more sad.She let it tinge her expression because she didn't care if Ignatius knew. Still, certainly not worth letting it dampen her pleasure just now. It was all in the past.
She took another thoughtful bite of cheesecake as she contemplated her next question. "Who is this Se to you?" she asked curiously. That particular relationship had her quite curious.
Drostan finished his cheesecake, swiftly licking his chops clean and settling himself back down on the woman's feet.

He took in her expression as she told him about her siblings. There was something sad and maybe a little haunted in that look, though soon enough it was gone. It made him wonder what had happened to cause such a look to fall across such a beautiful face.
"Se, huh? That . . . is difficult to put into words. He is my Brother." He gave a small shrug. The relationship that he and Se had as an odd one. It was Iggy's job to make sure that Se did not harm others or himself. Other then Ira he was the only one who truly understood that Se was not really crazy. "We watch each other's backs and keep one another out of unplanned trouble." He added.
"So, what is it that brought you here to the Capital?" He asked, leaning forward just slightly, interested now that it was for her to answer.

The woman caught the words 'unplanned trouble' and she gave a soft, quiet laugh. Oh, yes, that was definitely fitting from what she had seen even thus far. He had the air of one who not only could take care of himself but would and he would have the greatest amount of fun whilst he did so. She knew she already liked him.
So. . . he considered Se as one of his brothers. She wondered wot he thought of Ira, then. Drostan shuffled under the table, readjusting his position and it reminded the woman to answer the question Ignatius had put to her.
"I'm here to find my father," the winged hybrid remarked lightly. "He never knew he had children." Much less full-grown children, three of which were now sadly expired. Of course, he knew now.
Her tail tried to swish. "Where is your favourite place to live?"
