"Your father, huh?" While for some reason he doubted that such a thing was not completely uncommon, it had surprised him a little coming from the female. "Have you met him yet or are you still looking?" If she had yet to come across the man, he was almost tempted to offer his services.
"Favorite place to live? That is an easy one to answer. It would have to be the Jossigy Marsh. Born and raised there." His tone would hold the pride he had for the place in it. Father Elias had taught him the survival of the Marsh and how to use it all to his advantage. The years spent there had endeared it to him.
He paused for a moment as he thought of a question to ask her. "Having come from a prestigious family of dancers, you can dance too?" He was not sure if the question came out right, but he was interested to know where all her graceful movements came from.

Dre gave him a pleased smile. "As a matter of fact, I have." It was obvious from her tone that she was not only satisfied with herself for finding him, she was quite happy with what she had discovered. "My mother knew exactly where to find him."
Her wings settled gently at his next question and her chin tilted up slightly. "Yes, I can dance as well. I was the best of all my siblings, even Sevren though everyone said that his ability to move was rather uncanny." She was quite proud of her dancing capabilities, a fact she had every right to; she and all of her clan began training from a very young age.
"How are your musical abilities, Ignatius?" she asked with a smile. Music was extremely important to her, whether or not he was good at it.

"Well that is good to hear." He replied with a nod. She seemed content with who her father had turned out to be. "He is surely lucky to have a daughter like you." Wow . . . that comment made him feel old. "Do you happen give shows, private or professional?" He asked, brushing off the feeling from before. It would definitely be something to see the female dance.
"I can not say that I have any musical talent, never really having tried my hand at it. But I do know a few simple dances." He gave a small shrug, though in truth he was quiet proud of what little he could do. When Ira had gone on his spree of wanting to learn dance Iggy had volunteered to learn a few steps . . . under the one condition that Se never found out.

Dre smiled again at the man, well pleased to be complimented by him. Perhaps someday they would both understand the irony of his statement, but it was equally likely they wouldn't really care.
Her wings twitched at his question as her feathers ruffled up slightly. She stretched her flight feathers briefly before tilting her head at him, golden eyes flashing with flirtatious humour. "It depends on my clientele," she replied saucily, leaning forward on to the table again. "Are you wanting to finding out wot all I can do?"
Not that her dancing style was overly suited for such things as her words were implying; hers was usually a clan thing along with solos of high leaps and wonderful bounds. "I would love to see you dance. . ."
From beneath the table Drostan snorted derisively. If only he could fall asleep and not have to listen to this drivel. . .

When she leaned forward he leaned forward on one elbow, winking he gave a crooked grin while replying. "I would love to see what you can do."
"See me dance? Why, that is something of a different concern. Those I only do privately, though only to keep from embarrassing myself in public." He had never really considered himself all that good at the few dances he could do, though if she was willing to tutor him he would be more then willing to learn. For a private lesson with her he could be the perfect pupil.
Enjoying the playful banter going on between the two of them he brought their attention back to the game at hand. "So tell me, what is your favorite color?" He asked over the rim of his glass - which a passing waitress had refilled - before taking a sip.

Dre's smile slowly spread as he leaned closer and his words and wink caused her colour to rise slightly. His flirting back was wonderful and her tail feathers ruffled happily. She would love to take him across the boards.
"Perhaps private demonstrations are in order," she responded with her own come hither look. She lifted one hand, twirling it around in an easy, graceful motion. She sent him another wink before picking up her own glass and taking another sip.
"It should be obvious," she said in answer to his question. "Red, purple, and gold." Yes, her favourite colour was three colours and one of them showed no evidence on her person whatsoever.
She took another sip of her water and rose suddenly, causing Drostan to start awake in surprise, staring up at the woman with wide, red eyes.
"Come," the woman said suddenly. "You should show me your favourite part of this city." She put out a hand towards him.

"Perhaps they are." He agreed wholeheartedly.
Well it was not completely obvious which color - or colors - were her favorite but considering them he could not really think of any other colors that would suit her better. He logged the information in the back of his mind, like he had with all the other things that he had learned about her. Most of it was from habit but at the same time he was doing it with a personal interest.
He blinked as she suddenly stood up. What was going on now? After hesitating only a moment he stood up as well, readjusted the scarf after throwing the payment on the table, and placed his hand in hers. "My favorite part of the Capital?" He was not quite sure where to take her. The usual place he went was his father's store. Maybe they should start there?
"Well than, come my lady."

Dre tucked her hand into the crook of his arm, whistling back at the Ace under the table. Drostan gave an annoyed sigh and slunk after the woman. "Oh, no, let's just ignore him all day and expect every little whistle to catch his attention. No respect at all."
As usual, the Ace's attitude was completely ignored and it was as though she hadn't even heard him. There was a good chance that she did not.
They got stares as they went to exit the cafe. Dierdre was well used to this effect, but it was was wonderfully expanded by the presence of the handsome and proud man beside her. Her hand instinctively slipped across his bicep; it wasn't something she necessarily meant to do, but she was pleased about it once she had.
"So, then, Ignatius. To where shall we venture?"

As they were walking outside of the cafe his more stoic appearance fell back in place. Noticing that people were making way for them he could not supress the dark chuckle, enjoying the slight discomfort the two of them were causing.
"I have just the place." He replied, not giving away their destination. Leading the way towards the jewerly store that he had just come from, he noticed the slight shift in her hand's position, though he said nothing.
Are we going back to where the shinies are? Juris pipped up, shifting in the scarf to find a more comfortable position. He had been quiet so far.
Yes we are going to where the shinies are. he murmured to himself, reply to Juris' question. Speaking louder he said to Dre instead, "Now that you have found your father what are you planning on doing?"

Her fingers massaged his muscle as she tilted her head curiously at his carefully nondescript answer. She couldn't help but smile, though, pleased by his playful nature. He nicely kept her from prodding by asking another question, so after arranging Drostan's leash in her free hand she contemplated how to answer.
"I will spend sometime getting to know my family here, I think," she finally answered. "I think I have an interest in joining the family business, actually." She sent him a sidelong glance through her own hooded eyes. "I can be like you, eh? Follow the steps of my father." Though she was already thinking about going beyond the place of her father; Ira was quite pleased where he was now but she wondered if she would be happy remaining as he did.
Drostan trotted along behind them, sending glares whichever way he felt like.
