"Wind to your wings, Sanjaya," Dre replied brightly, but she moved past the rival woman to slip her arms around Ignatius's waist. She smiled up at him, eyes dancing with amusement. "You haven't escaped me yet, good sir. You'll have to try more than simply leave the carriage to lose me."
Dre didn't have to gloat her good fortune before her clan, but she knew that a few members of Melody's Song would certainly be displeased by the man now at her side. Sanjaya might be willing to overlook his suit, but many of the others from the Red-dominant clan would be wary to do so.
Still, she had nothing to fear from her mother; Katarina might have mated Red, but she had always lauded true love.
Drostan darted quickly after a sparrow, his ears down as he leapt forward to gently tap her with his nose. She gave a squeal of pleasure, rolling to the ground in a safe fall that she'd been taught by her parents.

When his Dre wrapped her arms around his waist he rested his hands on her shoulders, giving them a light massage. "I shall have to commit that to memory for later." He replied to her comment about running away. For some reason he had the feeling that even if he tried to run away from her she would hunt him down.
His eyes only for Dre he gave a small nudge with his nose toward the woman that accompanied his wife. "Is an introduction needed?" He asked softly.
Sanjaya could feel her eyes narrow as she watched the two love birds. Even though she allowed this small slip in her demeanor, she was able to control the surging urge to cross her arms, stomp her foot, and outright glare at the woman who had intruded on her prize. That, however, in front of witness was not the wisest of plans.

Dre simply held her smile for a long moment, eyes twinkling in flirtatious mischief. As entertainers, her clan just might stir up trouble simply to do it, though Sanjaya might be equally mocked if she did so. It was hard to tell just how jesters would react sometimes.
"Well, well, this is quite the surprise," Katarina remarked before anyone could blow up at anyone else. She extended a wing gracefully to the Corvie hybrid, even as she dropped into an elegant curtsy. "We are honoured by your presence, Sir Ignatius. I pray you will take some time to rest by our fires and bless our tents with your dreams."
Dre pulled back so her husband could greet her mother properly. She was so terribly proud of him and so incredibly happy to be home.
The girl was up again in a heartbeat, speeding away from the Ace and shouting "Second It! Second It!"

Completely ignoring the other avian female that was hanging around him he turned his attention toward Dre's mother. When she pulled away slightly he gave the older woman an appropriate courtly bow. "It is my honor to have this chance to meet the woman who graced me with her daughter. I hope we find you well."
Pulling up from the bow he reached out and grasped on of his wife's hands in his. At her formal approval of their staying for a visit he bowed his head.
Becoming a little insecure over the situation again the mix fell silently allowing Dre to take the lead in conversation again.
Sanjaya observed the couple with a critical eye, observing and plotting behind a calm face. It was currently the time for retreat, her chance for an attack should she dream it worthwhile would have to take place later. "If you will excuse me, I will now take my flight. I hope to see you at the afternoon meal." Giving a small curtsy she walked off a glower on her face now that she was no longer facing them.

"May your path be shadow free, Sanjaya," Dre replied almost absently when the woman made to leave. Her attention was back on her wonderful spouse and her adored mother.
"Walk carefully, Reiana's daughter," Katarina said in an undertone as the other bird passed her by. Once a mother of four, and one of those certainly very devious, and she disliked the spark in her friend's daughter's eyes. The peregrine falcon paused to watch the younger woman go, but it wasn't her place to do more than give a precautionary statement. She returned her attention-- happily-- to her dearest and only remaining child. "Come, Dre, Ignatius. We have much to talk about. So many will want to see you, Dierdre," the woman continued, not mentioning that many naysayer had predicted that they would never see the avian/equine cross again.
Pleased to have aid now in their game, Drostan was darting off in another direction to allow his helper plenty of room for movement. It felt good to stretch and run again; he'd been kept still for far too long.

With the hand that still held Dre's captive he motioned ahead of him for Dre's mother and Dre to take the lead. He kept a good hold of it to make sure that he was not left behind.
It had been to a cabin that he had been lead, a tent pitched next door. It was a quaint little cabin, a cozy little kitchen, a friendly living area, and two bedrooms. Soon after his arrival and time spent acquainting himself with everything that was placed in the cabin, he had offered to start a fire.
He sat in front of it now, starring into the flames, half in thought. He allowed the two females to catch up on the events that had taken place for the months that Dre had gone out on her own. When a question was asked of him or a comment needed he had offered it up before falling silent again.

Dre wasn't hurt by her husband's quietness; besides being his nature, he was very courteously allowing her to catch up with her mother. There was quite a bit of clan gossip to learn and some things from the Court to share with her mother. It was difficult to talk about her father; he didn't really have anything to say one way or another about Katarina, and that had shocked his daughter. They were true lovers; Katarina had been certain of it and she knew her mother couldn't be so far off the mark.
So she talked about how he looked good, how he was in a position of power and that was why he couldn't get away; the Queen of Hearts couldn't do without him.
Katarina smiled her mysterious smile. "Don't fash yourself, daughter," the woman said quietly. "I'm not bothered by it."
Dre frowned, fighting a need to leap to her mother's defense now.
"Hey, hey," a voice called out to the kids playing so fiercely with the Ace. "Can this be little Drostan?"
The Tulgey Ace turned to glower at the man standing at the edge of the game, grinning at him like he was a sight for sore hours.

Sitting there he reached over with one paw and ran his fingers up and down her palm teasingly. While the two of them chatted he listened in a little, making note of seemingly important factors. He was starting to figure out that the issue Ira's feelings for her mother seemed to be an important issue to Dre from the conversation between the two females.
Taking the hand that he had been teasing into a hand hold with is, intertwining the fingers, he pulled it captive to rest on top of his thigh. He rested his other paw on top. Giving the paw a few gentle squeezes he then grinned before tugging on her paw.
"So, wife. What are you providing us for dinner. Your husband here is starting to starve. You would not be so cruel as to allow such a horrid end, would you?" He asked, resting his head on her shoulder and giving her cute eyes.

Dre trilled an amused laugh at Ignatius' sudden interjection and she rose swiftly with grace even as her mother did the same. "Now, now, Maithre. You'll have to allow me to serve you this time." She smiled brightly. "The two of you should get to know each other better. Are your supplies still in the tent, Mama?"
The falcon nodded as she reseated herself, her gaze proud as she watched her daughter move as though she were dancing to exit the cabin.
The kids ran to the man, a tall mountain goat stood in bipedal form, ready to catch the children and toss them expertly back again. He gave a long, low laugh. "Not now, not now! Drostan's reappearance gives me hope that Dierdre is nearby."
The Ace stuck his nose up in the air, "It's none of your concern, Gilford."

At this point in time Jarvis was starting to get restless in his hiding place. Wiggling slightly he tried to sneak his nose out from under the scarf. Once he had succeeded he made sniffing motions as if he was trying to test the air.
Feeling the action of his guest he placed his turned slightly, bracing his arm on his thigh to hide him from the others. More than once Juris had pointed out that he did not like to be smothered all the time; something Iggy tended to simply ignore more than anything else. However, considering how well mannered he had been so far he decided to let him have a little freedom. Well enough so that it would not interfere with Dre or her mother. He did not need them running in fear after seeing his little friend.
Facing his new mother-in-law he gave her a polite but awkward smile.
