"It is not that bad of a thing to do." He agreed. "What is your family business, if you do not mind me asking." He as thinking that it would be something with dance but in his mind it would be odd for her to come here to do that.
Though he noticed her sidelong glance, watching her out of the corner of his eye, he kept his face forward. Reaching their destination, his father's jewelry store, he held the door open for her, motioning for her to go through first. Following he came to stand at her side again.
"So, what do you think?" He asked glancing around. It did not seem to bother him that no one appeared to be standing behind the counter. "This piece over here, especially, is a beautiful piece of work." He added leading her over to one of the displays on the far corner.
Inside the case would show a diamond dagger that the maker had payed special attention to ever small detail. Rubies decorated the hilt.

"From wot I understand," she said lightly. "We're in the paper business with an emphasis on listening to people complain." She gave a small laugh at this description, certain that it would all become quite clear to this most prestigious figure once he discovered exactly who her father was.
Ignatius brought her to a jewelry store and she was again struck strongly about how much she liked this young man. He was very pleasant. She dropped Drostan's leash as they entered the store, allowing the Ace free reign of the evidently empty store. He wandered off in the other direction as the Corvie mix took her towards a corner display.
She dropped his hand to gasp in awe and kneel down before it. She reverentially placed the tips of her right hand on the glass. She didn't actually use many daggers, but she definitely recognized fine workmanship when she saw some. "This is lovely. . ." Even her tone was soft.

Well that was a strange job to want to take over. Why in the world would someone as magnificent as her want to do such a dull sounding job. Surely she could find something better to do, could she not? "Why in all the Realms would you want to get stuck doing a job like that?" He asked, still amazed that this seemed like something she wanted to do. At her praise and reverence over the small dagger, he pulled himself up to his full height, puffing his chest out just the slightest. "I thank you for the praise." He said with a broad grin. It had taken him hours to create that little piece and had left him weak for a week afterward. But it had been worth every second of that. Asher was just becoming bored when noticed that his earlier client, Iggy, and two new ones entered the store. Leaving the Club to take care of his own needs for now he watched the Ace as he wondered around the off the leash.

Dre gave a small toss of her head as she gave her Gallic smile and a matching shrug at his question. Someday he would understand and that would mean she didn't need to answer the question truly. She did venture, "It's important work. Somebody has to do it, after all." She gave another low laugh.
The man straightened beside her and Dre stood back up as he accepted her praise. Her face lit up with further excitement and she grasped his arm, just keeping herself from throwing her arms around him. Though it might have been nice to do anyway. "That is amazing and wonderful!" she had to put in. "Do you do more than just daggers?"
Drostan was carefully easing his way along the edge of the store, glancing at the different pieces displayed around the store. He hopped up on his hindlegs so he could gentle place forepaws on one of the glass cases and tilted his head to stare curiously.

He supposed that that was true enough. To each his own, he guessed, as long as it was something that made her happy.
"I do all sorts of things, though I usually only deal with diamonds." The ruby's on the dagger were an unusual occurrence in the art pieces he did. As he spoke he dug into the small bag he held. Pulling out a small diamond he closed his hand around it. Closing his eyes he concentrated on it for a moment, then opening his eyes reached out and took hold of her hand. Holding it palm up he laid his closed fist over it, opening it directly into hers, before closing her fist around it.
When she looked at it she would discover a very thin and intricate bracelet. "Sorry it is not anything too fancy" He replied with a small shrug.
The fox was not sure what to do about the Ace that was wondering around. He was tempted to do or say something to spook the creature but at the same time he respected and feared Iggy too much to do anything at the moment.

"Your talent does not seem so easily constrained," she turned to stare at the dagger again, clucking her tongue against the roof of her mouth in further appreciation. Her attention turned when he moved his hand over the other and her head tilted curiously again. She, of course, allowed him to take her hand and let him press wotever it was he was so cleverly hiding into her open palm.
Her eyes widened and she lifted the bracelet so she could inspect it further. This had to be the coolest ability she had ever seen. With something akin a shriek, Dre threw her arms around his neck as her feathers all ruffled out briefly in a wave of absolute joy.
"This is superb!!" She quickly slipped it onto her left wrist, leaving her right arm still tucked around him. She extended the left for them both to admire. "You are absolutely marvelous." She quickly gave him a gentle kiss on his cheek.
Drostan was oblivious to the presence of anyone else, though at Dre's scree of pleasure his ears flattened briefly and he rolled his eyes. Useless woman.

A grin spread slowly across his face at her reaction to the simple bracelet. Compared to some of the other things he had made this one really was not all that much of anything, but her reaction made it more worthwhile then some of his more extravigant designs.
"I am glad that you like it" He chuckled, helping to support her body weight subconciously with one arm going around her waist when she threw her arms around him. At the kiss on his cheek he could not stop the blush that worked its way up his neck under his fur.
Finding that it did not appear that the Ace had any mischief in his plans, Asher left him to his own devicies, leaving it to his owner to take care of him. Seeing that he would not be needed he started to hum a tune lightly to himself.

When Ignatius' arm slipped around her waist, Dre suddenly lost all interest in going anywhere else. So though she let her weight go back to the floor, she had no reason to not continue to lean against him. So she let her body continue to rest against his even as she continued to admire the brilliant piece of diamond jewelry.
Whether or not he viewed it as simple in design, she knew it was perfectly fitting for her and that must have been why he chose that specific bracelet for her. The woman tilted her head so it rested against his so she could continue to admire the jewelry. Her ear squished slightly against one of his horns, but it didn't bother her at all.
"Holy #@%&!" the Ace exclaimed mostly under his breath, leaping back away from the case and head twisting from side to side with wary caution.

When she leaned in closer to him, resting her head against his, he was a little startled by the action tensing for only a moment before relaxing. There had always been only a very few who handle spending time around him, without any major sort of unease. Not to mention those who actually touched him other then in sparring, there especially were not many who threw themselves at him.
Not that he was going to complain, though. Not with this being Dre. He pasued for a moment, wondering over where the nickname had come from. There was something nice about having her there against him. Her scent was wonderful and her nearness had him relaxing slightly.
Asher was till humming softly to himself when he heard the Ace's exclamation. Head coming up he glanced around trying to see what could have cause it. Finally seeing that the Ace was looking in his general direction he gave a gulp. Oh blast, this was going to be interesting.

The Highlander felt the man tense, but she felt quite free to ignore it since they evidently both felt quite at ease there. Still, she couldn't deny that she'd been gone a bit longer than she had originally planned. Her long tail tossed restlessly for a moment, but she had an idea of where to find him now; she would certainly be back whether or not he was aware of the fact.
"Ignatius," her voice was thoughtful. "Are you often here?" It would be a lot easier on her if she had a simple way of finding him later. Like tomorrow.
The Tulgey Ace heard another sound, a very strange one distinctly like someone discovering they were in trouble. It sounded a great deal like it was coming from behind that counter. He had no reason to fear: death would be a relief at this point. So he began to slink around the edge of the cabinet.
