This was possibly one of the happiest moments the sparrow could have been graced with. He could finally have a sensible secretary that he liked. Hopefully other members of his firm would feel the same way.
He smiled something that wouldn't leave his face for a long while. "That's wonderful," he practically sang. His day seemed far brighter than it had been, and she seemed a bit more upbeat than she had a minute ago.
It wasn't everyday that you met someone who could give you an emotional roller coaster ride and leave you happier than you had before starting the conversation. Kelasia was far more than she appeared to be, and he hoped that they would keep having a relationship. Then again he just wish this small moment could last, but he knew that he had to go back to work and reality some time.
It was a nice and comfortable "date" though. At least now she would have a definite place to stay the night and wouldn't be left to the streets of Capital City. Not like many places where people resided were safe to begin with.
"Do you have any more questions," he offered.

Kelasia could hear his pleasure in his voice, and the smile grew just a tiny bit. It was still a little smile, but it was a little bit wider than it had been a moment earlier. He really -was- pleased to hire her! There was no telling how pleased she was about that.
She quickly took another careful sip of her soup as she thought of which questions to ask first. "Well, yes, I have some," she admitted softly. "Where will I be working? Will you be around for awhile to work with me and show where and how to do things? Is there travel involved or will I remain in the Capital?" Better to just start with those few than launch into all of the others floating around in her head. Theofilus was excellent about answering questions before she even asked them anyway, so it would be good to give him a chance to do so.

He loved it when people had their heads on straight. "You'd be working at the building we have here in Capital City. It's on the small side, but it offers housing in the upstairs for you and our other employee."
Her second question was a bit more difficult to answer. He had no definite time to stay in the city. It was until he finished a business deal with a noble and sorted out several payment mishaps. "I will train you at least, but I don't know how long I'll be staying. I have a lot of things to sort out, so it could go either way. I'll probably be staying to help out of a month at least." Theofilus was developing a headache as he spoke. He would ignore the problem until all was said.
"Travel? It depends on if you want to or not. We hope that your job will be flexible enough that you can travel to the other parts of our firm, which we're trying very hard to expand." The sparrow shrugged and took several more ginger sips of his suit. He mildly wondered when feeling would return to his tongue. "I do hope you can visit the Lakes sometime."

There was thus far one reason she would want to visit the Lakes, and right now he was sitting across the table. "I would like to as well," she murmured softly, and her cheeks tinged pink yet again though with her still-ducked head, it might not be obvious.
"Who is the other employee? Wot do they do?" She hoped there wouldn't be any interlap of duties; as the newcomer, that would likely cause a great deal of hostility. Or so she had read in books.
Theofilus looked a but stressed again, however, when he spoke of training. She needed that training; she didn't want to take a chance of messing things up straight from the get-go. The idea of causing the bird trouble, however, bothered her immensely. "Should.... should the other employee train me instead?" she ventured uneasily. Not that she wanted someone else to train her; she knew Theo and he seemed very understanding towards her.

He couldn't tell she was blushing, not in the least bit. But then again, he never would expect it. He was happy beyond reason that she wanted to visit the lakes. His headache slowly vanished as he spoke.
"The other employee is the man who takes care of customer's directly, the manager and bill collector so to speak. Rogers is a good man, I doubt he'll make you uncomfortable," Theofilus shrugged. He was the man who usually ran around collecting the bills and making deals when Theofilus couldn't but ever since the lost of his secretary things had gotten messy.
She seemed to have picked up on his annoyance, and apparently misinterpreted it. "Oh no no no, Rogers has no sense of organization and would probably confuse you with his so called teaching methods. He's good when it comes to closing a deal with customers, but the man could never be a teacher."
The sparrow looked down at his soup, realizing that he had almost finished it. When did that happen? It didn't matter really. This day was turning out lovely.

Someone to take care of the customers directly? For joy; Kelasia hadn't even thought about potentially having to deal with others face-to-face. Well, they were all just super lucky that she wasn't in charge of that. Relief relaxed her slightly as she continued to carefully sip her soup and think about all Theo was telling her.
Rogers sounded like a nice enough person and suddenly she realized that she was currently supposed to share rooms with him. With a complete stranger. With a MALE complete stranger. Her pale gaze suddenly widened and her shocked, concerned face tilted ever so slightly to look up at Theo with the whites of her eyes evident.
"I-i-iss... Would...Will he--?" She sounded like a retard, stammering again, but she couldn't think of how to word the question exactly. She bit her lip, sinking in her chair for a moment. "I mean... does he live above the office too?" There, she'd finally spat it out.

(( OOC: Me? I lose track every time. *facepalm* ))
Theo raised an eyebrow. My heavens he didn't expect her to freak out over Rogers. He couldn't imagine what would happen if he purposed that she would have to live in his closet of an apartment in the lakes when she visited. Actually... she might have a very different reaction to that. He hoped anyway.
Theofilus cleared things up for the poor panicked girl, "He will only be staying nights in the guest room when he stays too late. When he's tired he could never make it the several blocks home." The sparrow smiled softly, "No need to freak out, he would never do anything unsavory to you. If he did he would be punished, but he never would because he has no interest in women. Which I must say, is a shock, I never would have guessed if he wasn't open with me." Heh. That was a whole different story.
He continued, "You would have the upstairs to yourself. There are two guest rooms, though I prefer to call them closets. As well as a bathroom and a half. The study is part of the downstairs offices, but Rogers just uses his office space to work. When you see the set up you'll understand how everything works."

"Oh," she answered faintly, relief in her voice. "I see." And she flushed again for a myriad of reasons there was no way she would ever voice. First of all, from Theofilus' reaction, she'd apparently made a fool of herself again. Secondly, it didn't bode well that she had utterly panicked; but she was so bad with people! Thirdly, she didn't want Theo to think her a prude, because she wasn't! Really... Though she knew a great deal about the technical aspects of reproduction and wotnot, she had no real life experience with it. So.... he was going to absolutely hate her and these mixed up strange, chirpy feelings inside of her were simply a waste of time and energy. She tried to keep her sigh from being audible and listen to Theo rather than float away on another river of self-doubt.
"...I'm... I'm sorry for reacting like that," she finally said softly. "It was unfair to not realize that you wouldn't hire someone shifty to work for you."

Theo choked back a laugh, "No reason to apologize. You have every reason to be concerned about something like that. I don't think any less of you."
She probably had no experience, which was understandable. He hadn't had experience until he was seventeen and that just was... horrible. Theo never could get over that experience, his confidence had been bruised for quite sometime. He was such an awkward teenage boy, and finally he had something he could show off.
Now as for hiring someone shifty, she had a good point. But then again, people were never what the seemed to be until it was too late. He mused over how to make her feel better about her episode, it was really nothing to him, but she seemed to be horrified. "Shifty people come and go. Sometimes you can't even tell they're shifty until they're already hired." he shrugged, "But you really have nothing to worry about."

The bird's first response brought some feeling of relief to her, though she still felt utterly ridiculous for very nearly flipping out. Theo didn't feel she had overreacted and he outright said he didn't think less of her for it. How was it he could make her feel better? She glanced up towards him again, carefully through the silvered locks. She shouldn't feel better, but she couldn't help it, not with him sitting right across the way from her.
"I'm glad that you hired me," Kelasia answered quietly. "So at least I know that my employer isn't shifty." Which had been a serious concern, actually. "How long has Rogers worked for you?" Now she was a little more curious about her coworker... now that she didn't have to fear an unillicited encounter of the intimate kind.
