Sabe was beside himself with joy that the yellow king was finally out of eye sight, and hopefully hearing room too. He still looked visibly shaken from this ordeal... he looked back to the stallion.
"Umm... yea thank ye..." he said giving a noisy gulp.
He moved on towards the door that would mark the Queens Study. He then started to wonder about that... why regular queens need such a thing as an outer office would and such... it seemed to be slightly a waste. It would seem that all the queens were treated well in the Palace of Hearts. It never occurred to him that this might have been The Queen's study.
Sabe opened a shaky wing, "After ye Miss. Dre." he said trying to regain some composure over himself… this wasn’t the time to be falling apart even if your life was threatened…. Again… He just hopped that the queen would be better off not wanting to end his life today, or making it seem like it…

It was highly likely that the other Queens had a reception area just as The Queen of Hearts did; Sabe's assumption that they treated their Queens nicely was well-founded. It just didn't happen to be his luck today to meet a Queen. Dre gave a low laugh and swept back into the inner office, as Drostan back-stepped quickly to get out of the doorway. The grison plopped his butt back down by the chair and watched the heron as he entered the room. The room was masculine in colour and decoration, done in good taste and well-made items but certainly not overdone. The office was decorated in a simple style, overall, probably well-fitting to the man sitting behind a desk at the other end. His eyes were on the paperwork before him and the stallion did not yet acknowledge their entrance. Dre stopped a few steps into the room, assuming Sabe would close the door behind him, and waited patiently for the Queen's attention.

Sabe did indeed close the door behind him, since he did motion for Dre to enter first. Sabe liked what he saw in the office, it was nice and orderly. Nothing seemed to not be wasted or over done. It was to his tastes at least... yet he could tell that several of the items in the room where things that he could scarcely afford at this point though.
He waited patiently as Dre was and her ace, Sabe took this time to look over the queen that was sitting behind the desk... to his astonishment he realized who this was...... It was The Queen of Hearts. Sabe didn't know how he should act in this moment, his head swam with what he should say or do, if it was right to talk first... or... his mind just raced.
He decided to just remain silent until addressed by the Queen himself. It was truly an honor to meet The Queen of another court.

Rai was oblivious to the inspection. . . well, not oblivious, but he ignored it easily enough. He was used to the stares, but they still ticked him off. "Dierdre, wot are your thoughts?" His voice rang out unexpectedly, especially since grey-green eyes were still focused on the paperwork as he continued to write up the rest of his notes.
Dre tilted her head prettily to one side and rocked briefly back on her heels and clicking heavy talons against the carpet that covered the floor. "I think they'll get the point in another session or two. They said they'll have a new negotiator next time; perhaps he'll be a bit better at discussing things and not arguing." She leaned down to trace the black wing pattern on Drostand's back. The Ace laid down suddenly and she rose again.
The stallion gave a low snort under his breath and finished his final note. He signed the document and tossed it atop a pile of paperwork on the corner of his desk. "Go over it tonight and get back to me in the morning. On time, please."
Dre gave a smile and walked over to pick up the stack of papers and put it back in her bag. "Of course, Grandfather."

Sabe just listened to what the two had to say... apparently something didn't go over quite right, and it was good to hear that whatever it was, was going to be fixed as soon as Dierdre finished examining whatever it was. Though it wasn't his business... and he was happy that they didn't discuss anyone’s names aloud... else he would remember them and not be able to forget them any time after.
Sabe waited for his turn and guessed that when the Queen spoke of 'On time', that he meant the package that was supposed to be delivered earlier this morning, but what really threw him through a loop was that the Queen was Dierdre's Grandfather... or so she said.
There was one golden rule that the Kahmden Heron learned when he was younger, "everyone Lies... there is no exception to this rule." so he just took it at face value and went with it... but he since that it was his turn now.
"Ye Majesty Shinrai, The Queen of Hearts. I have here your package due a bit over late." He wasn't going to elaborate on what happened to make it late, he didn't want to get anyone in any sort of trouble, especially Miss. Dre.

Rai sent his granddaughter a bemused glance, not in the least bit encouraged by her pert little response. She was a great deal like her father, actually, and he fully expected her to do things her own way. At least she was slightly more biddable than his eldest son. The Queen gave a purely mental sigh at the thought of Ira's eccentricities, but, really, there was still nothing he cold do about it and no reason to try.
The Forest of Kahmden heron took his attention and the stallion inspected the man silently for a long moment. His glance went briefly to Dre who simply smiled at him again and then dropped to her pet Ace. Drostan ignored him.
"I wasn't expecting any packages," the Queen answered instead, leaning back in his chair and not inviting the heron any closer. "Who has sent it?"

Sabe didn’t know that it was meant for this Queen or another, he thought that Dre knew and had delivered him to the one that it was suppose to go to… he didn’t know that there was a chair behind him as he leaned back and fell into the plushy seat… he was happy that it was there though.
The Kahmden heron gave a sigh, he had been up all day trying to get this package to the right queen… and he thought that he had finally found the person that he could just drop it off to... yet here he was holding a package and sitting in front of The Queen…
He looked up at the Queen and motioned with his right wing as he talked… ”I have been here and there looking for this queen… and now I thought I found em… I find that it’s the wrong queen… I received this package from a Silk distributer…” he said with a heavy sigh, wishing that he had something to drink at this moment.

"Maybe it's a bomb," Dre offered helpfully. The Queen of Hearts sent a flat, wry look her direction and she tilted her head with a very wide smile back at him.
Drostan snorted in disbelief and settled himself down again. "Oh, yes, someone sent a bomb by pigeon messenger. That's terribly logical."
Rai lofted a brow at the Ace, but the Tulgey Wood grison pretended that he was invisible. Someday, that Ace was going to say something that was going to get himself killed. Not today, though, because Rai agreed.
"Thank you for the suggestion, Dierdre, but I doubt that's the case." Unfortunately this still proved a puzzle. He certainly wasn't expecting silk from anyone. "To whom is your package addressed?" Rai asked the heron quietly. There really weren't that many Queens in the Palace, actually. Especially not titled.

The ace pulled a rather thin strand when he was referred to a pigeon… he would have gotten a bit upset about it, but he was in the presents of The Queen, so he had to watch himself here. He just gave him an angry look and shook his head…
”I can assure you that it be no bomb… and I received this package from Guild master Popposenolopos, It’s some dyes and a few silk samples to say the least… there was no recipient to this package… I was hoping that someone who would see me to this queen would have the knowledge of which it belongs too.” he said with a shrug reveling the package that he had under a wing. It was delicately wrap with a thick brown paper and tied with fancy Yarrow horse mane twine, which he didn’t know how they got their hands on such a nice commodity.

Drostan turned his back on the heron, almost as though he were daring the heron to try something, though, in truth, he was just tired of the looks people gave him.
Rai straightened at the name, lofting a green brow curiously. The Dye Guildleader had sent a package? He could only assume then, that it was meant for him, but. . . If this had anything to do with the the problem he had approached the Court about previously, Rai wasn't entirely certain he wanted anything to do with it.
"Popposonolpous, eh?" The Queen wasn't certain why exactly the man had to have such a difficult name or, at least, couldn't have a simpler nickname. It just didn't seem good for business. At least the platypus wasn't here now; he was rather touchy about his name.
Dre tilted her head curiously at the stallion's expression and tone. "Who is that, Grandfather?"
Rai glanced towards the woman and shook his head before turning his attention back to Sabe. "Did he mention if this was. . . his new dye?"
