He could not believe that he was up so early in the morning. If it was not for the fact that it looked to promise more fun like the day before he would probably be refusing to step outside. Huddled in his cloak he walked along side Mnem, taking in the sights. There was a special quality to this time in the morning.
It did not seem to take them too long to reach their destination. Eyeing the house he noticed that it did not seem to be too different then those that were around it. Walking up to it with Mnem he noted that it seemed quiet. At her nod towards the door and "If you would," he gave his own nod in return.
Making short work of his task he soon had the door unlocked, and stepping back motioned for her open the door and to go ahead of him.

The inside of the house was as well-kept and pleasant-looking as the outside, and just as oddly cookie-cutter. There were seasonal flowers. There were charming ornaments. There were a few pictures of people who may or may not have been Lindi's family--Mnem could not recall him mentioning any. Then again, she had never mentioned her own family, either, so that really wasn't saying much.
Mnem moved quietly through the house, not wanting to startle Lindi into wakefulness in the event that he was home, carefully opening a door that turned out to be a lavatory, then one that was a small coat closet. The third door opened to a bedroom, large and spacious and clean, and there was Lindi, snoozing away. Mnem's lip curled in distaste.
"Get ready to grab him," she whispered quickly to Aderlass, then said, with malicious cheer, "Wake up, sleepyhead!"

Following Mnem inside he silently took in the insides of the house. Everything seemed to be well kept and organized. So he was not a slob like the man they had tracked down yesterday, huh? Well that should mean he had more to lose. This was indeed looking up.
When Mnem made her way down the hall he continued to follow, his cane tapping lightly on the floor. Pictures? Raising an eyebrow he studied the different people who were painted on the paper. Well as long as they did not kill him, then it was all fine. Giving a shrug he joined Mnem up on her search when she made to go upstairs.
Finally finding the room that Lindi was asleep in, he gave a grin. At her comment to prepare to grab him, the mouse replied with a nod of the head. That should be easily done. “Wake up, sleepyhead!"
The mouse gave a small chuckle when the male shot up into a sitting position, holding the covers around his waist.

Lindi looked extremely shocked to see her, which meant that Asaph was probably still drugged and unconscious and bound in a closet. The thought cheered her greatly.
The shock was masked soon, though. Lindi sneered. "I haven't seen you in quite some time. You're doing well for yourself, I see, in that slummy little apartment. Tell me, do you dine on roaches every meal of the day, or is that reserved for the main course at supper?"
He was obviously confident that he had the upper hand, to move to insults so quickly. And to not even mask that he had been to the apartment. Asaph must have been the one to have stolen it, but Lindi still had the nerve to come by himself.
Mnem shrugged. "Virtually no rent. Plenty of space. Very little in the way of police observation." She smiled widely. "And very few people break in. Now, if you would be so kind as to set aside these petty jabs and get right down to business, I would very much like to know where the bloody hell my plant is. My friend and I have already dispatched your lackey, and will have no qualms about doing the same to you."
To Mnem's surprise, Lindi grinned, and told them.

Well, well, well. It looked like their adventure was going to take a change in scenery. That was nice. Right?
Looking towards Mnem he waited for her to gather all of her information she would need, allowing her to issue whichever last threats caught her fancy, before motioning her out, following.
As the front door closed behind them he stopped to take a fresh breath of air. That place definitely had a stench to it, though it was not one that could be gotten rid of through cleaning the house alone. No its occupants would have to go as well.
Gathering up his cane he trotted next to Mnem.
“Well wot now? Am I to assume that we shall be continuing our search for it?” he had a twinkle of mischief in his eye. He surely hoped she said yes, though he did not doubt she would say it in much more a creative way then a simple ‘yes’.
They were going to have to go to Corvistowne.

Lindi probably had a good reason for divulging the information so readily. And that reason was likely this: Corvistowne was a terrifying two-story funhouse of evil. It had, after all, produced Minh, and the only thing Mnem could ever think about when imagining the region was a ton of dizzy-headed Minhs running around, blowing things up and torturing people in underground lairs and giggling insanely whenever they were approached. Gigglebots. Thousands of Minhs. Unending clown-car of horror.
Nevertheless, it was to Corvistowne they went. They had little choice. She was going to get her plant back if she had to strangle every scientist there with her bare hands. "Oh, we're searching all right," she said, voice edged with a threat, "if we have to tear down the entire bloody region down in the process. Let's go pack; it's going to be a long trip."

The next morning the mouse stood outside of Minh and Mnem’s apartment about to knock on the door. They had made arrangements the previous evening to go home and pack before meeting each other again the next morning to head out.
It was going to be a long journey, one they were not quite sure how long it would last, and therefore he mouse had a book bag that would –hopefully- cover all if not at least most of his needs while they were out and about.
After knocking on the door he entered, holding the cane in front of his person in case the mutant bander decided that he wanted a lovely mouse snack. Not this time bub. Making his way safely inside he placed his bag down on the floor by the door though he still remained possession over the cane.
“Mnem! Are you about ready to go?” He called out from the living room area.

Mnem, for her part, had packed light: a few non-perishable snacks, a little bit of booze (or a rather disproportionately large amount of booze, considering the size of everything else in her bag), a couple of small weapons--just the essentials. She brought a few pretty coins with her to just get what they needed once they were in Corvistowne, secured safely in a small pouch to be kept very close. She had told Minh that they were heading out, who knew when they would be back, try to keep yourself alive while I'm gone and not blow up the apartment, remember to feed Monty before s/he feeds herself with goddess knows what--Minh had done her Minh thing in response and holed herself back up in her lab.
"I'm ready, I'm ready," she said. "Let's get this show on the road, shall we?"

He gave an audible sigh of relief and gratitude when he hard her voice. He was not really up to having to fight with the mutant this morning and thus he was more than grateful to hear that Mnem was ready to go. He continued to wait for her by the door.
When she had finally entered the small kitchen he picked up his own bag, placing it back on his shoulders, before turning to hold open the door for her, allowing her to exit the house first.
Shutting the door firmly behind him he turned to catch up with Mnem. "So, which way do we head?" He asked, letting the canine take the lead on their new journey. He was betting, and sincerely hoping, that she at least had some clue on where they needed to go.
This was definitely going to be an interesting trip.
