"This is Kare with a 'K'," Vishne said with the full authority of one who knows things that the others do not. He loved having this 'power' simply because he was -never- the one who knew things. It was always Se, or Eir, or even Ira. Never the little Yarrows Garden canine and he was fit to burst with pride. It was SO nice, even though Elyse was really one of the nicest of the mass of siblings. She never really made fun of anyone, just kind of put up with all of the strange behaviour of the kids even as she pursued her own interests.
"Kare, this is Elyse; she's one of my sisters." He hesitated and thought about it for a moment. "Well, sort of." How did one explain their strange family? The fox was tilting her head curiously so he gave it a go. "Well, my mom and her mom live together, though neither of them are my dad, and we've all always been together forever." He gave a small shrug.

Actually, a great deal of that made sense to the fox and she gave a slight nod of her head with a matching wag of her tail before smiling lightly at the boy. In her house, she had two mommys, and one of them was her daddy. That actually made her family stick out a little bit in their neighbourhood, but Kare didn't really mind. She loved her family exactly as they were; jacked up and strange and... themselves. It was only right for all that it was wrong.
The fox extended a paw politely to the little girl; it was just as well that Vishne had explained the back history of his little family because the... mouse? looked absolutely nothing like him. Elyse, Kare was surprised to notice, was a -very- cute little creature. The fox found herself rather drawn to the other girl, which was an exceedingly odd occurrence; Kare and her sister were so much on their own and shunned that the little fox didn't really care for people right from the offset. She put up with them, she learned from them, but she never felt drawn to them. Very strange indeed.

“Wot Vishne here does not mention is the fact that neither of our parents are the same, neither our fathers nor our mothers. We all just kind of . . . well live together as one big family.” It never really had been explained clearly to any of the kids how they were all ‘one family’ other then that their mothers were friends with each other and likewise for their fathers. “It is nice to meet you Kare with a ‘K’” She extended her own paw to shake with the purple fox. It was not really in her nature to judge other people, and sometimes her easy acceptance put people to more unease then it was meant to. “Would you like to be friends?” She asked the fox, giving her a kind smile.
Eyeing the fox with a slight-curious head tilt she silently wondered how the fox was able to see through her long bangs.

Only the gleeful shout of “Vishne!” would have given any of the Cards standing around, and including, the other Six a warning or a chance to prepare themselves before the form of another Heart seemingly fell from the sky to land on her brother. “You are missing out on all the fun, Vishne! Se just got his wings stuck in the bush, again, and Daddy is only causing it to get more stuck! You should see the look on Se’s face, we are not going to let him forget this!”The new horse-canine mix seemed oblivious of the other Cards while she chatted happily at her brother, still squishing him from her escapade of using him as a landing pad. “Oh!” She blinked becoming aware of the small fox that was a stranger. “Who is this?” She asked her brother in a tone that was slightly authoritative as she slowly got off her brother.

Vishne gave a very undignified squawk as the weight of his twin landed on him and he would nearly swear that she'd broken his freakin' back. "Ven! Get offa me!" He pushed at her angrily, trying to squirm out from beneath her yellow and purple body. "Nobody cares about Se; he's a bully, just like Eir."
As the canine crawled out from beneath his fellow Yellow Gardens sib, he gave a quick shake of his fur, resettling it a bit fussily. He licked a paw before answering sulkily, "This is Kare. With a 'K'. She can't talk." This was announced for Elyse' benefit as well, accompanied by a quick, pointed look with some warning. Of course, out of all of his siblings, Elyse was probably one of the quickest, so he knew she'd know not to say anything potentially hurtful. The little canine felt oddly protective of the older fox; he really wasn't certain why.

The little fox flicked her tail a bit curiously as she was rather talked around for a bit. She didn't mind at all, actually; she liked being able to just tag along and glean the needed information from the world. But she gave Elyse a small, almost shy nod. She didn't understand this strange connection to the little mouse, but she really didn't want to look too closely into it just now.
The black creature's explanation was actually even more insightful, likely just wot the girl had planned. She seemed a but more even-headed then the other two. The two Sixes seemed to have a much closer bond, but perhaps that was based on sharing parents? She wondered why they were all together then, since the mouse was no more related to them than she herself was. Very odd.
Her ears flicked back in bemused amusement at Vishne's pointed comment, though she made no sound to prove him wrong.

The canine-equine let her weight go lose as her brother struggled underneath her. “Se is not a bully; he just has a . . . different sense of humor then you.” She gave a solid nod of her head as if that would prove her point even if she was not right.
When her brother had finally managed to struggle out from under her weight she gave a satisfied smile. Even though he pretended to hate it when she did that, she knew deep down inside his embarrassed outer shell of his, that he underneath it all he really did.
“Kare with a ‘K’, huh? What are you doing around here outside the Capital?” she asked ignoring her brother’s comment about her ability or lack-there-of to speak. Not in a rude way, she just brushed his comment aside. She really was a cute creature, she noticed, as she eyed the purple fox ignoring the others around her for a moment.

Seeing the shy nod of the head, the mouse gave her a big smile, hiding none of her feelings back. “Yay! You will like being my friend.” She bobbed her head. “We can have lots of fun and do lots of interesting things together. It is always nicer in life when you have a friend.”
There really did seem to be a connection between the two of them, something she was sure that neither of them could explain (even if the fox tried to use her voice). Oh well, life was full of interesting things and events. Better to take them to their advantage.
“So wot are we going to do?” she asked, changing the topic when Venka had asked an obviously intrusive question. They should all go off and have some fun! It was too nice a day for them all to just stand around talking while all the other siblings crowded the background.

"Se is so a bully," V retorted, but it was obvious he didn't want to fight with his sister. It took some more wiggling and tugging, but he finally popped out from beneath the hybrid. "He thinks it's funny to pick on me." Of course, he could make that argument for pretty much all of his siblings, so it really couldn't come off very strongly. Oh, well.
He was slightly put out that Venka had so obviously ignored him, but he was actually used to it, so he didn't stress about it. Kare would just not answer and that would take care of that.
"I think we should go somewhere else," he suggested brilliantly. Vishne didn't really have any ideas beyond knowing he didn't want to stay here. Dad might notice them sitting around and talking and then they'd really get into trouble.
