As usual, when Dad hauled them out for 'survival training' in the 'wilderness' of 'Right Outside of the Capital City', inevitably a few of them were 'lost' and everyone else was expected to 'find' them. Only they couldn't just find them, because they were, of course, just standing right over there, but they had to find them the 'right way'. It was not only frustrating and annoying but also a waste of time because everyone knew you should just not get lost in the first place and that would take care of everything. Duh. Vishne flicked his pink-striped, pale blue tail in irritation and rolled paler blue eyes. Sometimes he hated his dad. And his family. And everyone. Gads. Se made a face at him as he army crawled by and V stuck out his tongue. Stupid siblings.

It'd been a long, rather difficult journey back to the Capital, especially since she was making it alone. Maybe if her sister or one of her mommies had come with her it would have been easier, but... no. She was alone and learning. Today it seemed like she'd be learning a lot, actually. There was a whole mass of children running amok on the grass, through the bushes, and in the trees. Well, well, well. The little purple fox slunk forward, noticing a pink and blue canine sitting off to the side and looking very bored. With triangular ears perked, she began to carefully make her way towards the creature. As she drew closer she abruptly realized that it wasn't an it, or a she, as she had first assumed based on the pretty colours, but a -he-. This was getting more and more interesting. She stopped a few feet from him and tilted her head, staring out with pale pink eyes.

With pink-tipped ears folded back, Vishne didn't immediately notice their audience, but a soft sound, grass shuffling beneath small paws, and he turned his head suddenly to catch sight of the purple fox siting there and watching him expectantly. His ears went back uneasily again and he watched her for a moment. There was a very long moment of them staring silently at each other and Vishne wasn't really certain wot to do. She... wasn't saying anything. His tail twitched from one side to the next as he wondered about the strange little girl who just wasn't saying anything. Finally, the words just kind of exploded from him.
"WWOOOTTT?!?!" He glowered at her, wondering if she was laughing at him just like his brothers and sisters did and it just ticked him off more than he had words for. All he needed was for some stranger to mock him too.

Kare started at his shout, staring at him with wide eyes that exclaimed her surprise as her voice did not. Her triangular ears had fallen flat for a few moments after his yell, but they were quickly twisting back upright and forward again as her curiousity overcame her fright. He was an interesting little male for all he seemed oddly hostile. He was very pretty, though; she liked his colours and markings a lot. Maybe he was just a Yarrows Garden canine? She'd never seen one without a lot of yellow, though... Very interesting!
It didn't occur to her to try and say anything; it'd been so long since she'd last spoken it was never her first response. Speech was, frankly, rarely her response to anything. So even now she just rather stared up at the sitting canine with curiousity. She did wonder why they were all out here and tried to relay that with a small wiggle of her body.

When he realized that she wasn't going to answer his question, Vishne let out a very put-upon sigh and rolled his eyes. He turned to watch his siblings running through the 'wilderness' around them, some getting dirty and mucky as their father occasionally called out commands. This was the lamest family bonding he'd ever heard of. His family was sssooo lame. With another sigh he looked back at the little female stranger staring so pointedly at him and he tilted his head to the side with the first vestige of curiousity, though he tried to slough it off under a front of not caring.
"Fine," he finally said flatly. "Be that way." He twitched his tail at her and would have turned his back before he realized that she was from the Ville; writing covered her form and after a moment of concentration he made out the words 'Forever Silent'. Oh. Well. ... Now he felt bad.

This little boy wasn't responding well to her wiggles. Maybe it was because she was older than him? She was really a teenager compared to him and he didn't seem any better at dealing with that than he was with her not saying anything. This was going to make their interaction really rather one-sided and difficult. For all that she didn't talk a lot, Kare really wasn't all that great in charades. Hardy har har.
So the purple fox tilted her head curiously and wiggled her body again, adding a bigger tail wag before glancing from him to the proceedings behind him with over-exaggerated interest. Gads, maybe that would help him figure out exactly wot she was trying to say. Well, not 'say', but 'relay'. It was basically the same thing. She tossed her head slightly as she stared pointedly at the canine, willing him to understand.

Vishne's brow furrowed in an effort to follow wot the silent fox was trying to get him to understand. Oh! His dad's stupid activities. "My dad's playing war games with us as his pieces," the blue and pink canine said flatly in tones that gave full evidence of exactly wot he thought of the 'training' going on behind him. Man, his family was SSSOOOO stupid!
Suddenly, the Yarrow Gardens male realized that perhaps the fox hadn't been staring so pointedly at him, but at his stupid family. Ha! Wouldn't that just serve them right! "It's not like any of us are going to need to know wot berries to eat out in 'the wilderness' when we live right in the Capital," he continued in flat tones. It was kind of nice to be the one listened to and not the one who had to do all of the listening. Very nice, in fact.

Kare blinked and tilted her head to watch the myriad of others wandering around and through the bushes as a large green King continued to yell and call out commands. She tilted her head curiously; he looked... familiar. She wondered briefly why, but the little canine was still talking and she returned her attention to him. She wasn't certain she really agreed with his estimation that this was information they wouldn't someday need; she was purely a city Card, but she still thought it might be very useful to know the things his... father? was teaching them. She wished she could join in on the lessons! Well, not exactly 'join in' so much as continue to watch from a distance. The green Marshdweller was making the kids run.
Who were all these kids, actually? Not many of them really looked like the big green stallion. Actually, the little dog before her looked nothing like the commanding man; yet this was his father? Maybe they were all related to the horse! Wouldn't that be amazing...

"It's all just really stupid," Vishne finished flatly. He tilted his head curiously at her again. "My name is Vishne; wot's yours?" Oops! He flinched after he asked then muttered a soft apology. The fox didn't seem too concerned, though she tilted her head the other direction thoughtfully before mouthing a word.
"Wot?" Vishne asked in surprise, squinting his eyes a bit as she did it again. "Care?" He was further surprised when she gave him a satisfied nod of her head. "Your name is Care?"
He watched as she carefully traced something in the air. After a few very patient tries he finally figured out it was a 'K'. "Oh, a 'K'. K.... So 'care' with a 'K'!" he was very proud of himself for figuring that out all by himself. Kare, her name was Kare. "That's... an interesting name," he said quietly. He wondered how she'd gotten such a peculiar name, but wot good would it do to ask? She couldn't answer.

Uncle Whip yelled out orders in his commanding voice, interfering when needed to show them the proper motions they should be doing, and every now and then to help get Se's wings untangled from a bush. He was currently doing so and in his distraction she was bouncing in a circle, excited over their training. She did not really think she was ever going to have a use for it and some of the stuff Uncle Whip made them do was silly, but she usually looked upon everything as an adventure. Finishing her circle her eyes landed on Vishne who seemed to be talking to a purple fox. Bringing up her in ears in interest she bounded over to where the two sat talking. “Wot are you doing all the way over here, Vishne?” Cocking her head to the side she took in the fox female in pure curosity. “Hello. Wot’s your name?”
