Se's eyes narrowed dangerously, and he nearly quivered with his need to do something particularly and terribly nasty to his older brother. Not only did nothing come to mind, but Se knew that he didn't stand a chance against Eir's abilities. The stupid horse -enjoyed- causing other people pain; like, everybody. He'd know the best way to hurt his siblings and Se didn't want to try and get into a war with the cannibalistic equine. He still distinctly remember the day in the alleyway with that disgusting little Lowlander mix. He had no desire to end up chewed up like that thing had.
So, though it almost physically pained him to do so, Se abruptly turned his back on Eir again and began to walk away. Maybe the older boy would think of someone else he'd rather torment or, at least, lose interest long enough for Se to escape.

Eir smirked as Se tensed up, waiting in pleasant anticipation for the little wuss to make his move. Then the hybrid stalked off. Eir gave a small, put-out sigh. He was disappointed, but not surprised. Sese -was- a baby and a freakin' pansy. He couldn't be trusted to have the balls to even stand up for himself.
So Eir stood up and followed his brother, intentionally bringing down his feet with a crash every step. Se's yellow ears flicked backwards. Eir continued his little march; following the hybrid's every move and turn. Se's tail twitched.
People seemed to instinctively know to get out of their way; Se had a fairly easy path, but no one dared cross between Eir and his quarry, even with the distance between the pair. Finally Se looked back, a disdainful glance, then he pushed himself suddenly into a run. Eir's grin grew; finally, time for the hunt. He darted into the side traffic, beginning to slink even as he trotted quickly along.

Se glanced back again after a few blocks, but Eir was nowhere in sight. Of course, that didn't mean he wasn't anywhere around. Eir was usually the best at their hunt and trap games out in the Marsh. Se's ears flattened in irritation. He didn't feel like dealing with his stupid brother today, and this, by far, was one of the most annoying and retarded things Eir had ever done.
"Why can't he just leave me alone?" Se muttered under his breath. The older boy was such a bully.
Se stopped and put his head up into the air, searching the area with his strange, green eyes. His ears came up and forward as he began to scent the street carefully. The place was a mess of crowds! How could he even hope to catch Eir and put the other boy off of his path if he couldn't even -locate- the colt?

Eir grinned as Se stopped, trying to locate him in the crowded the street. Oh, the wussy baby just made everything too easy. Slipping swiftly through the crowds, Eir moved with a family to get right up next to his youngest brother.
"Boo," he whispered into the winged hybrid's ear, then slipped just as quickly away, a fish in a stream. He felt utterly in his element, grinning fiercely to himself as he skitted back into the crowds. They didn't seem to notice him, but he saw their eyes sliding away in unease. It only caused him to laugh out loud, changing directions suddenly to catch a side-flow of traffic.
There was no way Sese could keep up with him, nor would the little pansy be able to throw him off the track. Se had always been the worst at their games and he would never be able to keep up with the master of those times. Eir was going to get him... the little baby had better watch out.

With Eir's voice in his ear, Se gave a gasping growl, whirling to see... nothing but more crowds. The equine had already disappeared back into the writhing mass of people. The hybrid made a sound of annoyed disgust, and suddenly set off again, changing directions again. He just -knew- all of this was going to end up in his nightmares! In frustration, Se began to run again, even though he would just bet -that- was a bad idea as well. He had to figure out how to shake the other boy!
Moving in something between a canter and a lope-- his mix-matched legs and feet gave him an odd gait-- Se kept his head up alertly, glaring at anyone who dared to remain too long in his path. Something to shake Eir off by or with.... There had to be something around here he could use? But nothing inspired any sort of brilliant plan. Blast it!

Eir had almost lost his youngest sibling, but there was a parting of the crowd just to the east that gave away Se's path of escape. With the same dark grin in place, Eir went after the hybrid. The Hunger was coming; it always came when he went on the hunt. He could feel his desire to eat begin to focus him tightly; he was like a freshly sharpened blade slicing through the air. The Hunger honed him, prepared him. The Hunger made him better.
Adrenaline shot through his body and Eir felt the oh, so desirable pleasure seeping through him, washing back through his whole frame in a shuddering wave that caused his stride to hitch slightly and his insides spasm. This was his second favourite part.
He began to lose himself, focusing more and more, catching the fleeing purple tip of the yellow body. He put on a fresh burst of speed, hooves flying over the paved stones with ease.

He didn't know wot it was that made him look back; perhaps some latent survival instinct or maybe just the simple knowledge that Eir was hunting him. A pink and purple form was shooting after him with long, sure strides. Se's heart stuttered in his chest when he saw his brother coming after him. No, it wasn't that Eir was chasing him, it was the look of savage glee that had twisted the colt's face into a stranger.
It was no longer Eir behind him; it was a predator.
The memory of the rat mix's torn shoulder came to mind, the rumours of something stalking their neighbourhood. Oh, light and stars, it was Eir doing those things and Eir who had just forgotten that Se was his brother. The hybrid suddenly felt new energy fuse into his body and he pushed it all into his legs, wings tucked close to help streamline him. He put on an amazing burst of speed as pure terror lit his way.

Eir could smell the fear on the air; it was intoxicating. He wanted to roll in it, cover his whole being in the scent of other people's fear. He could drink it in, nearly survive off of it. Nearly. Because he needed more than just their fear. He wanted their pain, their suffering. But he needed the blood; the flesh. He demanded it and he would accept no less than their everything.
He wasn't truly aware of speeding up; all he knew was that his quarry was growing closer, that his prey's fear was leading him straight to it. Before there was time to process anything, he was at the yellow Card's side. He snapped at the prey, pleased when it veered suddenly, just as he wanted it to. It was leaving the more crowded streets and heading into less-populated areas.
He let himself drop back slightly, as though his prey were losing him. This simply gave him a clear shot to nip at the flying hindlegs.

Se gave a very horse-like squeal of pain and rage when Eir nipped at his heels. He didn't immediately realize that the Jack was herding him, but as he had to duck fewer and fewer crowds, it became quite obvious. *#$&, *#$&, *#&$!!! He tried to turn down a side street and get back in with the other people, but the Yarrow Gardens colt seemed to have anticipated that, skirting in front of him and lashing out with golden-tinged hooves.
Se felt a blow to his chest, the impact shuddering his feet along the ground and nearly causing him to lose his balance. His paws caught their traction again fairly well, but purple hooves didn't want to cooperate nearly as well. He used his yellow forefeet as a stabilizing point; his hindquarters swung around and he leaped out of the way just before Eir's hooves came crashing down on him again.

A vague sense of disappointment touched his mind, but it was from a long way off. The chase had an inevitability to it; he already knew wot the outcome would be. Eir gave a pleased laugh as his quarry bolted again, this time in the direction he wanted it to go. He galloped after his yellow prey as it zig-zagged frantically like a rabbit before the raptor bird. They were almost to the Spot; he could feel it.
He increased his speed suddenly, and it seemed as though he had not been trying before. It was here! HERE!
With a deep chortle in his chest, Eir lunged at his prey. It gave a strange, challenging cry and that briefly distracted the colt just enough to throw him off his mark. How dare his prey challenge him! It was Nothing! And it. Would. PAY.
The two tumbled down together in a flailing mass of limbs, only colours making them truly distinguishable.
