So there were more people like him? Well that was utterly fascinating, Perhaps she should get to know Jovan a bit better so she could meet the rest of his family. That would at least satisfy her curiosity.
And suddenly he was shifting the questions to her.
This she could do.
"Well my ivy is because of my mother. She has some growing out of her skin on her arms. I just happen to have to covering me completely. The flowers though are because of a magical item I traded. Little did I know a tiny daisy chain would make flowers sprout out of my back. It's pretty cool though... I have to admit. Totally better than my tail which was a horrible nightmare of an incident. I'm a pure mouse actually so this was a surprise..." she cleared her throat. "I'm not talking too much am I?"

Usually girls made Jovan a little awkward but he was finding Eurwen surprisingly easy to approach. They both had a lot to say and, apparently, were mutually inquisitive. His tail's occasional wag had become thoughtlessly consistent. This had been quite the happy accident so far.
"No, no, not at all. It's all very interesting." He grinned. "I suppose I have a little Corvie in me somewhere, mutations fascinate me - Mom says its a family thing - but I think it is really cool. The flora suits you and the tail," He chuckled a little and eyed the reptilian tail with its feathered tip. "odd as it is, I think it still suits you as well." He tilted his head a bit as he watched her. The more he studied her the more he was noticing... did she smell of chocolate? That was extra intriguing... Maybe he was just imagining things, but he really did love that smell. "Oh, another question so long as you're still up to it... Is your flora alive? Or is it just decorative? And, of course, feel free to ask me anything... It's the least I can do for asking so much about you."

A smart boy who was curious and didn't want to kill her. This was going well. "You're so sweet, you know that?"
She smiled as she padded along, glancing back at the path to see if they were going the right way. "Ah yes, my flora is alive. I have to get quite a bit of sun to keep the ivy healthy, and I have to water the flowers along my spine. If I don't I get pretty sick... I only made that mistake once."
Her entirely too long tail twitched with fascination as she glanced at him up and down. Since he offered she might as well ask a few questions. Where to start? "This might sound weird, but what exactly are you breed wise? I'm not particular skilled at picking out mixes properly so... I'm curious and I have to say I'm too distracted by the tentacles. Can you do anything with them?"

Jovan couldn't help the little flush that ran along his cheeks at her words. "Thank you." He did know, but it always felt extra nice to hear it from someone you'd only just met.
"That's really cool. I've never seen that sort of... symbiosis before." He could understand grandma's curiosity for genetics, even he had to wonder what sort of genes could foster plant life like that. It took so much control not to stretch out a tentacle and touch one of those ivy leaves for himself, but he dared not invade her personal space like that.
"Ah, my breeds? Horse and Canine. I'm sort of the odd brother out in the sense, the only one to get equine instead of deer." The next question was definitely more fun. "Oh, yeah... Of course. They're still pretty soft and furry, but they still have suction cups so picking things up is easy." To demonstrate he picked up a leaf from the ground with the tip of his tentacle, using only the first few suckers, and offered it to Eurwen. "They're really useful for not having hands, that's for sure."

"Not many people are born walking green houses, so I'm suppose I'm just lucky." She commented with a shrug. If the boy had invaded her personal space she wouldn't have had a problem in the slightest.
Oh! So he was a horse and a dog! That was pretty interesting! She had never really seen that many horses to begin with.... so that explained the configuration of his tail at the very least. That was cool. She glanced at his tentacles as he spoke about using them for hands.
Ah yes, that made sense. Not everyone was lucky enough to have her dexterity. Her experimenting brother wasn't even lucky enough to have hands. Though that made he chuckle silently to herself. "Are they useful for anything else?" she asked suddenly. "I mean... there have to be more uses for tentacles than picking things up. Do they help you climb things? Can you use them in a fight to throw off the opponent?"

Jovan grinned a little to himself. So pretty and very laid back, that was nice. It made it a whole lot easier to relax himself as well. Even better was getting to really pry into her wonderful mutations without any of the usual awkwardness and blushing he'd found from most other girls.
Jovan usually did his best to be humble. He tried not to brag, but... really, he enjoyed his tentacles. He enjoyed his prowess and his skill with them and, for all that he tried to be humble, that was something he couldn't help but flaunt his pride over. "My tentacles can do just about everything except for really delicate tasks. I can't write neatly or the like, but I can definitely throw an enemy and they can help me climb." His grinned turned a little mischievous. "I bet I could even pick you up, easy."

Eurwen blinked at his bet. Oh she absolutely loved bets. Especially ones that she could put a twist on. A smile crept onto her face as she slid a bit closer to him using a skilled side step. "Actually, I bet I could lift you! You look lighter than two hundred pounds," she gave him a wink.
Don't judge a book by it's cover. She had heard that phrase so many times and found it very fitting for situations like this. He was such a nice Heart it was amazing. She had never really met one that didn't have their head stuck up their ass.
He was a nice and interesting exception. "I don't know if I've said this, but you have rather interesting eyes. I don't think I've seen anything quite like them before." Shameless flirting never hurt anyone. At least not while they were on such good terms.

The horse-dog flushed momentarily in surprise as Eurwen side-stepped up next to him and offered him a bet of her own. His gaze briefly flicked back to her suit, the first time he really took it in instead of obsessing over all that pretty flora. She could definitely pick him up if, judging by her comment, her club ability allowed her to lift up two hundred pounds.
Laughing, he poked her with a tentacle. "I'm sure you could! I suppose it'd just be a matter of who was quicker..." He trailed off playfully and returned the wink her way.
Of course, it always seemed like girls won in those situations. Her words nearly caused him to stumble, though months of training made catching himself an instinctive reflex, but he was still left with a heavy blush on his pale cheeks. Flirting... Somehow he was as dense as a rock when it came to catching it, but she was direct... and very close. "Y-you hadn't mentioned... Thank you." Despite being a rather kind soul, his dark eyes were sometimes quite intense to those around him. "Most people find them a little intimidating."
Now, of course, all this conversation of eyes had him peering into Eurwen's and, to his pleasant surprise, he found the soft lavender there to be subtly beautiful as well.

What he said almost sounded like a challenge. The mouse perked a bit as she trotted along side of him, the wink duly noted. Perhaps she could surprise him and pick him up? But the last time she had invaded someone's personal space she had ended up with horrible acid burns. Of course this Heart was different, but it didn't make her any less cautious about actually touching him. Brushing up against him was different from manhandling him.
The blush was impossible to ignore. She choked back a giggle as she smiled up at him. "Well, you are a Heart and I find that more intimidating than your eyes. I've never seen anything quite like them." Empty eye sockets to a wide array of colors, but nothing quite like his. The tip of her tail curled as it was dragged awkwardly behind her. One day she would get used to the extra length.

Jovan briefly touched a tentacle to the Heart on his chest, his smile momentarily thoughtful. It was a pity there was such a divide between the suits. He saw the differences, saw where the Hearts were superior - they'd made it to the top of the food chain for a reason - but that didn't mean the other suits were bad. It meant they have different skills.
Power meant nothing if you abused it and Jovan would rather foster allies than enemies (even if he did think his enemy was 'harmless').
"Heh, don't let it worry you about me." His tail swished a bit and he grinned over at the mouse. "I'm not one of those elitists or anything. Differences are differences, I mean... I'm covered in tentacles, if you're still willing to be my friend I'll take what I can get." He winked a bit, trying to distract himself from the pleasant heat that was still lingering on his cheeks.
