Eurwen's eyebrow perked at his comment of rarely finding someone he didn't like. He did seem like a friendly person, but surely he had to have people he hated. "Oh really?" she said as she perked up a bit. A wide smile was on her face as she looked at the boy. She could think of one particular person she would have loved to experiment on. The only thing that prevented her from doing so was her brother. However is she could get the Lowlander rat alone....
"What about Lowlanders?" She asked. Her tail curled as she spoke. His region supposedly hated Lowlanders, didn't it? Maybe he would be willing to help her experiment on Vesper? Then she wouldn't have to battle her brother's barrage of questions alone and maybe that nasty bitch would learn her lesson. A small part of her wanted to cackle evilly at the plan that was forming in her head.

Jovan made a face, his nose crinkling and his ears flattening back against his skull in a brief expression of disgust. "Ah..." She'd hit the nail on the head with that one. "I can't stand them." He hated the disgust he could hear in his voice, how natural and welcome it felt. In so many ways he worked to be kind and tolerant and, ultimately, as different from his real father as he could humanly be... but Lowlanders... They were something else.
The thought of those plague-bearing filth-eaten lowlifes made his skin crawl... but he did have to accept that they were, under everything, people. Not all of them could be as bad as their lot made them out to be, but that didn't mean he'd do them any extra kindnesses. He'd accept their presence in the city, but that was it. Given a reason -- however small -- to take one out or give them a good beating, he would.
"Not that I'm the sort of Josiggy with a crusade against them, I'll leave 'em be so long as they leave me be... but that's about it."

He didn't seem like the crusader type. Though he seemed to be an alley of justice of sorts. That could have easily bended to a crusader if he didn't have those particular moral boundaries that some people had. She figured that being part Corvie her own moral boundries were skewed. Her mother was rather wholesome, she would admit. But there were bound to be shady dealings somewhere in the family. The realm Stereotype existed for a reason.
"What if I told you that I had a Lowlander that I could potentially "experiment" on with my ability? Would you agree to help me out?" Eurwen gave him a rather curious look. What would he say to something like that?
Focusing on the conversation she wasn't feeling all that queasy. It was nice to actually focus on something than the pit of her stomach doing cartwheels over moving. "Of course that's if you want to meet up again."

Jovan couldn't help the little hint of a grin that edged up on his muzzle. It shouldn't have been there, he should have been above petty thoughts of cruelty especially for something as simple as region, but he could reason away all he wanted and the grin would still be there just the same as before. Especially when it insinuated that he would get to spend more time with the pretty little mouse in front of him.
"I'd be more than willing to help you out if you have a Lowlander in mind." A murmur of guilt bubbled up in his subconscious before fading away again. He could worry about it later. It wasn't as if they'd die, they'd just get to feel like they were. He resisted the urge to chuckle at the thought. This was enough cruelty, he didn't need to feel truly sadistic on top of it all.
He hadn't even thought about not seeing her again after this. She was a terribly interesting individual and he hadn't dreamed of letting such a person just slip out of his life. "I'd love to meet up again sometime. I'm in and out of the Capital all the time, so we can meet up just about any time."

"Well then! Since you're willing we'll have to set something up after my visit to the road gardens," she said cheerfully as she rolled onto her back for a moment to look at the canine horse mix sitting across from her. Would this be considered something like a date? It was kind of like a romantic getaway wasn't it?
That was a silly thought. She brushed it aside.
"Besides being a Guard and doing Guard-y things, what do you do in your spare time. Any sports?" He may have been the sporty time if he liked to spar. And she had heard that the Court of Hearts territory was absolutely massive compared to the Clubs. They probably had plenty of places to play sports.
She rolled back to the right side up, shaking her mane out. Guh. Dizzy. Maybe that was a move she wold leave to her part cat sister.

It was amusing watching the little mouse roll about on the carriage seat but he tried to suppress the little urge to smile as he leaned back.
"Sounds... interesting." He didn't want to say fun, per se, that could be construed as... rude? Overly aggressive. As he'd reassured himself before, he wasn't the sadistic type who enjoyed being cruel for no reason. Or was he reassuring himself a bit too much at this point? Oi.
He pushed the thought aside and let Eurwen drag his thoughts along to something a little more cheerful. Except he just found himself blushing over that instead.
"Ah... well. When I get the chance, I enjoy them a good deal. Most of the time though, if I'm not training then I'm studying or spending time with family." And H.P. was the only one who could really join him in sporting activities but he was usually making sure Nico didn't get hurt trying to keep up. "It's honestly not everyday that I get time to myself like this." Which just made him feel guiltier for the time he took to 'escape'.
He believed his mother had called that an 'Atlas Complex' once upon a time, but there was nothing wrong with keeping busy... right? Helping others out made him happy, so it wasn't as if he was depriving himself of anything.

"You're one heck of a straight laced business man even when you're having fun," she said as she fidgeted by playing with her tail. She couldn't think about getting sick, ugh.
"Then again I don't have many hobbies, I have to help my brother most of the time since he's blind. I had to learn a lot to help him with his Corvie interest, he pretty much wants to be a doctor but..." She shrugged. "It doesn't leave a lot of time to fool around, but I study most of the time myself. We really should play a few sports together and pass it off as training.... have you ever played soccer?"
That was a ridiculous question wasn't it? Then again she had met a lot of people who didn't know how to play the game. Or perhaps she played a ridiculous version? Either way the question was already asked and she could feel stupid about it later.
