Theofilus gave a deep sigh of relief. So he hadn't completely screwed up. The sparrow relaxed a bit as he took a long drink of his tea. He drooped a bit at the mention of what they should do with Eilwyn. That was a very good question, and the only answer he could think of was simple and to the point.
"We don't tell him until the time gets closer when you need bed rest." Theofilus sad flatly as he set the teacup down. "If he finds out about this he'll probably have a small mental break down right now. Until we can figure out a way to let him know.... carefully we should just not mention it. I think that's better than out right lying. I think we want to avoid as much stress as possible for both of you."
He didn't want anything to go wrong. Stress couldn't be good for anyone.

Elyse nodded her head in agreement over the decision. "If he asks any questions I will make sure not to worry him with the answers." Her poor Wyn.
But everything would be alright, it had to be.
Now that the depressing topic was done and over with for the moment, Elyse decided it was time for a topic change. They did not want the atmosphere to be damping with their topic whenever Wyn got back. She took another sip of her tea before giving her father-in-law a smile.
"Are you going to be staying for supper by any chance?" It would be no burden to the couple and the male's company would be enjoyed greatly. The poor man could probably use a little relaxing time. "I know that Wyn would enjoy seeing and being able to spend some time with you. Wyn is cooking supper tonight."

Theofilus sighed. He would love to stay for dinner however, he had to go back to the palace tomorrow. "I would love to, but I can't. Do tell Eilwyn that I plan on visiting later this month though. I'm terribly sorry I can't stay for dinner."
Sometimes the sparrow wished he could balance his family life and job better. It was difficult most of the time and he wondered if he would ever be able to do it properly.
The were a bit of a struggle at the door as Eilwyn opened it. He balanced the variety of fresh groceries in his hands as he slipped into the apartment. Placing two of the bags down he closed the door behind him and merrily made his way to the kitchen.
He paused however when he saw his father in the sitting room with Elyse. "Dad? What are you doing here?" he asked with a curious head tilt.
Theofilus hadn't expected this. "Oh I was just coming by for a bit of a visit. Sorry I didn't tell you about it. But I was just leaving, It was wonderful seeing you Elyse." The sparrow said with a smile as he rose.

"Do not worry, I will do so. I will contact my college tomorrow and seek an appointment with him as soon as possible. I thank you for giving me the warning." She knew it must have caused the sparrow some great trouble to have to see such a thing but she was grateful she had. She gave a small shiver at the very thought.
Pouting a little she gave a nod of her head. "He will be sorry to have missed you but we understand." Just as she had finished the person they were talking about walked in.
"Wyn!" She gave a happy chirp, a habit she had picked up from the eagle. Rushing over to him she took one of the bags out of his hands. "He stopped by for a moment to see how I was doing." She gave her mate a happy smile. "Did you get everything?" She asked peering in the bag, half in aim of distracting the eagle and half in being curious.

Eilwyn pouted only slightly at Elyse's comment and his father leaving. He wanted to spend time with his Dad too. He snapped out of it though when Elyse changed the subject. "Oh, for the most part. I wasn't able to get the right peppers though. I tried several places but none of them were fresh enough."
He was happy to be home with Elyse though. Here he couldn't help but smile. When he left most of the time he was stressed and afraid of people. He just couldn't get over some of his fears.
Theofilus made his exit with a smile and a wave. The sparrow breathed a sigh of relief when he walked out of the building. And now a tragedy could be prevented. Elyse was a good and kind girl, she would definitely contact a good doctor.
The eagle went back to fawning over his mate once his father left. "You are all right, right? Nothing's wrong?" He wanted to make sure. Dad was acting a little strange.

As Theo departed she called out a farewell. "Take care and come see us soon." Turning back to Wyn she gave him a placating smile. Placing one hand gently against his cheek she looked him in the eyes as she replied. "You worry too much Wyn, everything will be fine."
~
Elyse shifted her hips on the couch, trying to find a more comfortable position. She currently laid on her side with her knees bent, a pillow placed between them. She had taken to her father-in-law's advice and after seeking out Temmin's advice on her pregnancy had followed him to the mark.
For the first few weeks after Theo's visit she was allowed to continue on as normal but as she had progressed into the early stages of the second trimester had been put on bed rest. Leaving the clinic in capable hands she had stayed home, doing small things and always resting more often than not.
As the babes in side her shifted in the only-so-giving environment she winced, placing one hand on her belly in hopes to calm the restless children.

Eilwyn had to make another run for groceries. Elyse had wanted some interesting things recently, and she honestly couldn't go out shopping. Since her pregnancy had gotten "complicated" the eagle had been working at home. Every once in a while one of his brothers would come for a visit and pick up what he had made.
The eagle slipped open the door and flopped a good deal of groceries on the floor. Shutting the door behind him he picked up one or two of the bags, the ones that were particularly important and walked towards the kitchen.
He paused. "Shouldn't you be in bed Elyse?"
She shouldn't be walking around as much as she wanted to be, but he couldn't imagine the couch was as comfortable as laying in bed. "Are you all right? Do you need something?"
He set the groceries down so he could properly take care of Elyse.

She shifted again trying her hardest to get comfortable. They were really were active today much to the poor mother's discomfort.
"I am fine, fine. You worry to much, love. I got tired of seeing the same walls all the time." She knew that she should not really be walking around at all except when absolutely necessary so once she had made it to the living room she had gone right back to resting. "I wanted to come out here and view some of my plants." She gave him a smile to help show that everything was alright.
Shifting again she arranged herself so that she was mostly laying on her back, allowing room for Wyn to perch besides her on the couch. "Your children are being active today, do you want to feel?" She held out a hand in invention.

Eilwyn hesitated, giving Elyse a worried look. He understood how she could get bored staring at the walls, but... still. She really shouldn't be walking unless she absolutely had to.
His eyes widened slightly at her offer. He still was pretty unsure about this baby thing. Him, a Daddy? The concept didn't seem to fit. "Can I?" he asked, a bit of worry still hinted in his voice.
When she gave him the okay he reached out slowly, and carefully placed his hand on her stomach.
And he quickly retracted it in surprise. "Are they supposed to move like that?' It was a bit of a shock. No wonder she was so uncomfortable. Did babies always cause this much trouble for a mother? Well... she was on bed rest for a reason. He was still worried about that. Worry. That's all he seemed to do recently.

She watched his surprise as he placed a hand on her belly, which was quick in receiving a good kick from the occupant. Giggling softly she gave a nod of her head. "This is normal behavior for them, though they are a little more active today then usual." She ran a calming paw up and down her belly gently, making a shh-ing noise in an attempt to get them to calm down.
In truth they were a little more restless than normal, especially at this stage. Their special mutations that she had been warned they would be born with were also making it very uncomfortable. She had no doubt that they special day would be fast upon them.
Turning her attention back to her mate she gave him a bright smile. "Were you able to pick up the apples and caramel?" She was suddenly starving.
