Both McDuck and White had no problems keeping up with Menefer, as the Duck was in very good shape (and a Spade to boot) and the Feline was full of youthful grace and vigor. The crowds still parted for them, despite the fact that Graeme had calmed significantly and was no longer waving his cane around and shouting. In fact, he had quite put the meeting and his infuriating rival from his mind for the moment, cheered by the prospect of something 'free'. Of course, he had lived enough of life to know nothing was ever truly 'free', but in this case the fee for the meal, metaphorically speaking, had already been paid with his rather undignified meeting with the Feline.
Once the place came into sight...then Graeme finally did recognize it. He had been wined and dined here before by one or two affluent clients, though not for a while and neither of them turned out to be beneficial business relationships long term, so perhaps that was why he hadn't recalled the place right away. He smiled at the clerk, unable to help puffing out his chest just a little at the welcome he got once recognized. For anyone familiar with his company, the large 'M' on his tie would be rather unmistakable, and his face was not one others easily forgot; keen orange eyes filled with intelligence and wit.
Mrs. White gazed around with interest as they entered the lobby. She, at any rate, had never been here before. While she didn't particularly approve of Menefer, she definitely approved of his choice of places to serve them. Having grown up in a rich family, she was used to the finer things in life. "Well isn't this a classy place!" she exclaimed to herself, tail twitching fondly.
Graeme drew himself up straight, and then turned to Menefer with a self-satisfied air. "I think this will do nicely," he commented, and then ran a hand through his slightly-mussed hair, brow lowering slightly. "Is there somewhere I might be able to...freshen up, before the meal?" He didn't want to show up looking like he'd just run several miles, after all.

Menefer piqued with much pride and joy at the responses that he recived from the two of them. It had only meant that things were going well for him. It was a good way for him to repay the kind man of some reputation. He smiled and waited for the man to come back. "Well Mr. McDuck, I have spoken to our manager and he has set you up with a very nice business sweet." he said hurriedly as he turned around and opened a box on the wall that had twin H's on them and retrieve a silvered looking key. He would turn back to the three and smile as he held out his the key for the Highlander. "I do hope that you enjoy your stay here at the Harrison." he said with a bow. Menefer smiled and looked back to the feline and duck, "Well I will zee you later at the banquet tonight zat zeven" Menefer said as he hurried down the hall towards the banquet hall. The heron had received a invitation to some sort of banquet in honor of something. He hadn't really paid any mind to it but received the memo early that morning. So he would have rushed out and went to get to this place flying at a rather rapid pace. He would arrive rather tired and dusty as he landed softly on the front. He would enter the building with a huff and approach the desk, praticaly ignoring the Silky and Highlander. He was here on business. "I'm sorry that I'm a bit late, I'm Queen Sabe of the Court of Clubs, here for the banquet tonight. I was told I will receive a room to freshen up?" he said as he rapped his talon on the marble, leaning on his wooden cane that seemed to be but a normal small stump. He turned his head to see the others in the room and spotted the other two. He would then apparently ignore them and turn back to the stammering clerk waiting for his key to be found.

Graeme smiled politely, and nodded at the return of the clerk, accepting the key with a nod. "Ah, yes, thank you Sir..." The Duck blinked. Did he just say...stay? By the hills, they didn't think he was staying the night...did they? "Sir, I think you might be a bit mistaken," Graeme said with a polite smile. "I'm not here for the night, just for the...banquet..." He blinked as Menefer walked off after saying he'd see them...at seven. Seven. As in, still hours away from the time it currently was. He exchanged a slightly confused look with Mrs. White, who shrugged.
"Different schedule these folks keep," she said dryly, commenting on the fact that they were supposed to be here for lunch, not dinner.
Graeme just shook his head. As long as he didn't have to pay for anything...
Mrs. White opened her mouth to say something else, when the doors to the Harrison flew open and a rather winded, brightly colored bird flew in. She raised an eyebrow, looking at him, and her employer did the same...until he mentioned who he was.
Graeme felt a slight weight settle in his stomach. No...no he didn't really want to deal with royalty and the Courts right now...especially not while he still looked slightly unkempt. With a nod to the clerk, he hastily left the lobby, key clutched in his hand, looking for his room.
Mrs. White looked briefly after him, but since she hadn't been told to come along...she instead stayed where she was, and eyed the new Avian. A Khamden. Foolish, complacent Cards, they were. And a Club to boot. My my...perhaps this place wasn't as high class as she'd hoped? Then again...he -was- apparently a titled Court member. But since he was ignoring her, she ignored him. A game Felines are very good at.

Menefer knew that he had invited them for lunch, but also knew that it was really for later that day for dinner. He hoped that if he was able to make the duck feel really full and knew that it was a good meal, and if he was suppose to be as important as they made it seem then he would be able to have a happy costumer that would tell all about the travailing cook. So yes, the Feline was being as a normal cat would.
Sly...
He moved into the kitchen and quickly started shouting out for the foods, he would make a few plates before hand to make sure that they would be worthy of the crowd tonight. After all, it was a banquet that was geared to economics. So the people here would be important right? So everything had to be perfect!
----
Sabe knew that he had time before he had to get ready for the banquet, and being queen didn't make him more concious about how he looked to others. He always viewed the fact that it was a persons doings that were more important than that of how they looked. So he was a bit flustered and a bit of dirt still clung to his feet. He would bath before the banquet.
He would turn back to the feline and smile.
"Hello there, I have a question." he asked leaning heavily on his cane, "Would you mind joining me for a drink? I had just flown all the way from the Court of Clubs and find myself rather parched, miss." he said as he waited for what she wanted to do.

Graeme got up to the room he was given and, slipping the key into the lock, opened it and stepped inside. It was certainly a rather nice suite. Though Graeme still preferred not having to stay the night here, since he had his own townhouse. But if he wasn't paying a copper for it, perhaps it would be okay? Shaking his head, the Duck closed the door behind him and headed to the bathroom, grabbing a towel along the way and slipping down to Animal form, putting his hat carefully aside on the bed. It occurred to him, at some point, that he'd completely abandoned Mrs. White down in th lobby, but he didn't let it worry him. His maid was plenty capable of taking care of herself.
Within moments, he had a bathtub full of lovely warm soapy water, and he relaxed fully for the first time that day.
---
Mrs. White was...rather surprised by the Heron's offer. What Club, Court or no, asks a random Heart whose name they don't even know to sit down with them for a drink? She was tempted to politely decline, but then again she really didn't have much better to do right now. Unless she wanted to keep McDuck company while he was in the bath but...ugh, no, he could do that himself.
"Well, it would my pleasure, Your Majesty," she purred, rising and going over to him, slow and lazy but with a disarming, sweet smile. "Please, you may call me Mrs. White."

Menefer tasted what they had first prepared, a lemon drop soup that they had on the range for the past hour before his arrival. He tasted it with a clean spoon and spat it back out. He was very displeased with the flavor and the texture and started to gather up new ingredients to make the soup better.
---
Sabe smiled back though once the title was dropped on him did he frown a bit, but since she wanted to be called Mrs. White then he guessed that it would only be polight for her to call him the same in return. So he just smiled and met her half way.
" I do believe that their is a bar in this hotel if memory serves correct, though they serve other things as well if you don't drink. I always do love company to spend a nice glass with." he said with what he had though would be a disarming smile as well, though being male kinda takes the cake for that one.

The Feline wasn't aware that there were any titled Court members who would NOT go around flaunting their titles at every possible opportunity and getting angry if they were not addressed by them. Well, except for -him-, a small voice in the back of her mind spoke up. Apocalypse didn't insist on titles, did he? Yes, but that was an entirely different circumstance, she mentally replied to the voice with a slight ruffling of metaphorical fur. After all, during her more "sane" moments, she didn't like to recall the times she let her darker side take control. But none of this internal conflict showed on her face, as she smiled up at the Avian.
"Company over a drink is nice," Mrs. White agreed, secretly amused by his attempt at being charming. Foolish birds. And why did he have large, extra wings? They were pretty, a bit fluffy and a much nicer color than the maroon of his fur, which was far too dark to remind her of blood...but they were entirely unnecessary, she thought.
Nevertheless, she was prepared to follow him. "My employer may care to even join us, when he's done freshening up," she said sweetly, knowing in reality 'Scrooge' McDuck would want no such thing, seeing how wary he was of the Courts. But her darker aspects always loved to see her hated employer squirm a bit, and besides, she didn't want Sabe to think this was some twisted sort of date or something. The very idea was laughable. And probably not what he had in mind, after all, but still.

If Sabe could read minds then he would have walked backwards really slowly with his hands held in a x like motion. Though it was a good thing that he couldn't. He smiled at the feline and started to walk towards the common area where you could see many cards sitting whilst talking or reading some sort of literature that happened to be on the book cases. He really didn't like to read much, but knew that it was in his job description, being the lowest queen it made since that they had given him the invite to stand in for them. Probably to train him in being better at his job, because in truth he really sucked at politics.
They would enter the bar area where he took a table waiting for Mrs. White to follow suit. After all this was friendly, not a date. He knew that this was just a friendly joining of drinks and amusement.
He would order a simple light ale and waited for her to order hers before turning back to her smiling, "So what is it that you do for Mr. McDuck?" he asked knowing who the man was and what he did. After all... Sabe was a business man as well, for he had owned his own transporting business named Sabes Safe Transport.

Mrs. White, despite her inner...well, insanity, really...kept up a good public face. Very few, if any, got even a hint there was something (or someone?) else lurking under her dotty, friendly exterior. Her tail swished lazily as she followed the Heron to the other room, sitting easily down across from him at the table and glad that he seemed to be so...casual about these things, despite being royalty. Part of her didn't care who he was, if he managed to piss her off...well, there would be hell to pay, then.
She looked to the waitress and beamed at her. "I'd like a Bloody Mary, thank you kindly," she said mildly. Normally she wasn't big on alcohol, much preferring tea...but, when in Rome, as they say. She shifted her pink gaze back to the Heron across from her.
"Officially, I'm his maid," she said, sounding rather amused by the prospect, though inwardly she was fuming. "I tidy up the mansion, cook, serve him and any guests he may be entertaining...it's a nice enough job." She hated it. With ever fiber of her being. "But unofficially, I help him out in whatever capacity needed that day." Today, it was keeping him in line while he made his way to a meeting. And now, talking up royalty while he was taking a bath. Oh, the humanity! "Really, I don't know what he'd do without me," she said with a slight giggle and a batting of her lashes. Really, she dreamed of all the nasty ways to be rid of him on a daily basis. But her exterior never failed her.

Sabe smiled when he heard her drink, his drink was a bit more stronger than hers, but hers was still on par and tasted better if you liked tomatoes. Though once that she started to talk about what she did for the man did the heron couldn't hold it back any more. He laughed a bit and then regained himself.
"Well it does sound that you enjoy your job as I do my own, save the paper work." he said taking a sip of his ale. He would then set it back down and wonder if he really did enjoy his job as much as he had though. He had hopes and dreams that he could change the world with his position, but had found out that he couldn't really do much save what the others above him set down. So he would have to end up taking the top spot in order to change the Clubs in his immage. Thought that would have to wait and he would ahve to bide his time and power til that time for the take over.
"Well that is good, that you enjoy what you do." he said with a shrug as he lifted his drink some.
"Well... got anything to talk about? besides the banquet tonight?" he asked looking back over to her.
