Yarrows were such snarky bitches. Peaches smirk grew wider as she continued to listen to the canine. Oh she and Xiven would make very good friends. Perhaps she would be able to solve the lover problem--even if it was only a temporary fling. Of course Xiven wasn't one to make moves on anyone--or even flirt for that matter. Silly complicated daughter she was.
"Well, I always do research before I come to a region. And from what I here there's a rather nice bar and Club filled with all sorts of interesting things. Of course a respectable Lady like yourself probably hasn't been there..." Peaches paused for air, "But if you want to start your well rounded adventure an establishment filled with "shady" people might be a start. And I need to do a bit of work there anyway. Would you like to join me for dinner and a drink later, is what I'm saying?"

Calanthe knew she came off all high and mighty, but that certainly didn't mean she didn't like to let loose every once and awhile. She had been to a few bars around the Gardens before, but lately she had been caught up in her work (how many people could possibly want bouquets all at once?), so she hadn't been out to have some fun in quite some time. What harm could there be in going out now? Especially with someone like Peaches?
"After the lovely time I've had with you so far, I would be delighted to join you for dinner and a drink later. It has been quite awhile since I've been to any of the clubs in the area, so this will be a treat for the both of us. I hope you will still be able to enjoy yourself despite the work you have to do. By the way, what kind of work do you have to do tonight?"

"Rumor control!" Peaches responded cheerfully as she picked up her tea. "I have to check to see if there are any odd rumors about the courts recently. Nothing too big for my job, ya know."
The feline set her tea cup down and waved the server over, asking for another drink. The woman hurried off to get another cup.
"Though I do have to do some other things, so I will be missing for a good part of the day. If you don't mind, could we meet there? It's called The Semperflorens." Peaches shrugged. Everything in the Yarrow was named after a flower, so it might not ring any bells. She did know, however, where that place was. The way it had been described to her, there was no possible way she could forget. The woman leaned forward a bit. "I hate to be a horrible hostess of sorts, I could pick you up at your house.... but of course I would have to know where that is, and we only just met...."
No she wasn't implying anything at all.
This was so much fun.

Semperflorens...Semperflorens...she had heard the name before, but she wasn't quite sure that she had been to this particular bar before. Today was definitely a day of new beginnings. However, she wasn't quite sure she wanted Peaches coming to her house to pick her up for their night out. Although she found her quite charming, she was still somewhat a stranger. Could she trust her so soon? But then again, she didn't want to snub her newly found friend...
"I thank you for your offer, but I have no problem meeting you at the Semperflorens tonight. I wouldn't want you to go out of your way to pick me up at my place. After all, we've only just met! I don't want you to feel obligated to do things such as this for me."
She blushed again slightly. She knew that Peaches was trying to be hospitable, but...oh, damn her conscience for kicking in now.
"You could tell me where the Semperflorens is, and what it looks like so that I can meet you there. I still want to have a great night with you, Peaches." And with that, she gave her a small kiss on the cheek.

Peaches gave her a cordial smile as she gave her a quick set of directions from where they were currently located. "Those were the directions told to me, pretty simple to follow at least. Show up around nine, perhaps? You can show up earlier if you want, but I might have my hands tied for a bit."
If they were actually tied Peaches might get a kick out of it. Pushing that out of her mind she drained the last bit of tea from her freshly filled cup. Setting it down she gave Cal a wink. "I need to be off right now. Things to do. People to spy on. But I'm looking forward to tonight."
With that Peaches put enough coins on the table to cover the bill and scurried off, long purple hair trailing behind her. She had heard a bit of gossip while chatting with the canine, but none of it was good enough. Oh well. What did she expect from such a nice place?
(( OOC: <3 Feel free to fast forward to the bar if you want. Or if you want we can close the thread here, whatever you're up for. ))

(( OOC: I am SO up for more of this, Kari. XD ))
Calanthe watched the purple haired woman walk away from her. With a sigh, she finished her slightly cold tea, and left the table. As she walked out into the bright afternoon, she could only think of what could be in store that night.

8:45 rolled around, and Cal strolled past the large field of pansies that Peaches had mentioned in her directions earlier in the day. After passing the last of the flowers and turning the bend, The Semperflorens was unmistakable. Bright purple flowers illuminated the sides of the building, giving it a lovely and welcoming glow. A neon green sign spelled out the name of the bar in scripty lettering, making it look like vines.
"What an interesting place..." Cal thought to herself. Since it was a bit before 9 o'clock, she could either wait outside or head in to see if Peaches had already arrived. Decisions, decisions. Well, she might as well go inside. There was no way she could possibly miss Peaches with her long purple hair...

It was a fine establishment. They had even hired Corvies to make a sign for them and lights that worked inside of the building so they didn't have to deal with candle light.
And it was filled with gossip, and news that she'd never heard about Yarrow. The woman sat in the corner, nursing the same Bloody Shame since she waltzed into the club. Her eyes darting from person to person every so often, waving away a few people who came to flirt.
Did her ears deceive her or were some of these hardcore feminists Yarrows talking about men? The thoughts remained in the back of her head when she caught a glimpse of a familiar canine walking though the door. She stood up and waved a sleeve at her so she could see her. Bright purple did stick out in the crowd, even with the slight blue haze from tinted lights.
Now that most of her work was "out of the way" she could have a little fun.

Calanthe walked into the bar and almost immediately saw Peaches waving at her. She wound her way through the many occupied tables and finally reached the purple-haired woman. It was definitely nice to see her face again.
"Fancy meeting you here. What time did you arrive? I hope I haven't kept you waiting long..."
As she spoke, she hopped up onto the seat next to Peaches so that she could be eye level with her. At that height, she could finally get a good look around the bar as well. It was a rather large space, with the bar off to her right, and a large selection of spirits and alcohol lit up behind it. There were several tables and booths on the floor of the bar, and judging by the sound of the bass of music coming from the ceiling, she figured there was a dance floor upstairs. This certainly was an exciting place to spend the night...

"Fancy indeed maiden! I thought you would be a little later, but to my great pleasure you're here early," Peaches said with a smile and a bit of a purr. She picked up her drink in a cheer and downed the rest of it in one quick motion.
Now she would drink with a companion, no matter how salty or bitter the drink was, she would put up with it as long as she had company. And it had no alcohol. "What will be your poison of choice tonight, Calanthe? Will you be having a dirty or clean drink?" She asked with a smirk as she ran her gloved finger along the rim of the glass he has been drinking from.
She was implying something, of course, she hoped that Calanthe would pick up on it. The woman was a smart one after all. Peaches purred again, but the sound was probably blocked out by the sounds of the club itself.

Calanthe was immediately glad she had decided to walk into the bar early. She smiled back at Peaches as the feline shot back the rest of the drink in her hand.
This was definitely going to be a good night.
"My poison of choice, eh? Well, it has certainly been a long time since I've had any alcohol in my blood stream, so I might as well skip over the clean drinks and get right down to the dirty ones." she said with a slight smug look on her face. She knew this is what Peaches ultimately wanted, so why not play along? Alcohol, and lots of it, would undoubtedly loosen her up, and she hadn't loosened up in years. All her floral work had kept her busy, and she hardly had any time to get out and have some fun for herself. And now that this chance had fallen into her lap, she couldn't pass it up for anything.
"What kind of drink would you like? Let me buy you something as a thank you for such a wonderful day..."
