((Casey wakes up in the back alley behind a pub called the "Fallen Wing". How...how did he get there? He can't seem to remember anything that happened in the last few hours and his head feels like its been smacked on the ground...or with a brick. His entire body aches and he feels swollen and miserable. How awful.
Makenna and Adrianne were out playing with Heilyn...who seems to have...vanished!? She was only out to get them churros from a vendor! Where could she have...where did...everyone go? Wait! It looks like there's a good number of people in that pub right there... Maybe they can all help, is...is that someone in the alley next to it? Maybe they should check it out...
Meanwhile Thyme was inside finishing a drink with Ichigo...but the crowd inside is starting to...creep them out. They've all been there for hours and none of them seem to be getting any drunker or any closer to leaving... None of them are changing and even the conversations seem to be cycling in a circle! Maybe they should duck out for air.
Odd though...all the streets seem empty of anyone and the air has an odd...spice in it...
Your goal is to locate everyone and try to get poor Casey some help. Thyme ought to be able to get the children back home too, since she's been to the Hearts Palace before, right?))

Casey let out a groan, one paw raising to awkwardly and carefully pat the back of his aching head. He pulled it back in front of his head and was mollified it wasn't bleeding, but why was he in the back of an alley? Why did he feel so terrible? Living on the streets didn't give him a lifestyle fruitful with health and happiness but it didn't usually hurt so much! Unless he got in a fight.... but he tended to remember those. He wasn't bleeding, anyways, he just hurt like someone had steamrolled him and left him for dead. He sat up and let his head swim before he focused in on his stomach. Was he bloated? How could he be bloated when he had no idea when he'd last eaten?!

The evening started out so pleasant. Thyme enjoyed Ichigo's company, his flirts were downright flattering, and she felt like she could really relax in a social setting around him. She found it so novel to be able to have these sorts of conversations with someone who wasn't just Rosemary. She liked it. Unfortunately, their setting had been slowly souring for the past little while and she could feel small shivers traveling through her fur when she glanced around. The same patrons as when they'd entered... the same noise level... the same... the same conversations, even, from what she could glean. What was this? This was not normal and it made her uneasy. She leaned slightly closer to the mouse, glancing to the side as she did so. "I don't mean to spoil the mood or anything of the sort, but are you feeling at all... uncomfortable? Would you mind stepping out for a quick breather? We can pay for our drinks, maybe see about going somewhere else once we're out. I'm just not feeling this place anymore." Her words came out as a low murmur. The last thing she wanted was to offend someone nearby. Really, she just wanted to leave.

Ichigo always enjoyed spending time with Thyme. She was one of the few people on his small list of friends that he could go out and loosen up with. Tonight had been going rather spectacular. Until now. The mouse had been catching snippets of conversation the entire night out of habit, and he was finding that they seemed to be repeating. Not to mention no one was leaving and no one seemed to be getting drunk. And he was fairly certian that everyone other than him had more than one drink. He found himself staring at his drink in worry until Thyme spoke. The mouse nodded and pulled out a few coins from his purse to cover both their drinks. "Let's go, I don't think anyone will honestly notice our departure. There's something... strange going on." He shifted awkwardly before slipping off of the chair. His arm was always a challenge, but at least he was getting used to it. He made his way to the door, opening it for the King. His manners wouldn't be damaged by the strange happenings tonight. His good paw wandered down to his neatly tied sword, fiddling with the ribbon the held it closed. Looking back at the patrons in the bar he couldn't help but feel a bit of anxiety well up.

At least she wasn't alone in feeling 'off'. As a former palace guard, Ichigo probably caught on to disturbances like this more quickly. Living in the Tulgey for a good portion of her youth hadn't left her unaware, however.
"I couldn't agree more." Thyme stood carefully, feeling the effects of the drink in a tipsy sort of way. She rarely had much, preferring coffee and tea to alcohol, but this had been an evening to unwind. She wasn't unsteady on her feet, but she felt a bit fuzzy and it made her wish she'd stayed at just one drink.
Staying close behind the mouse, she inclined her head towards him as she stepped outside. Her sensitive canine nose was immediately assaulted with an odd, spicy smell and she had to fight back a sneeze. Had someone nearby burned a large amount of incense? Possibly.
And weren't the streets awfully... empty. It wasn't all that late in the day, certainly not late enough for this sort of apparent desertion. There was always someone going somewhere in the Capital. That was just how things seemed to work. Now...
Now it felt the weirdest bit like home. Her first home. That strange quiet... and only the noise behind her helped dispel that illusion. Had the drink affected her more strongly than she thought?

The mouse let the door swing shut on it's own power once the King had walked out. When it had finally closed Ichigo shuddered slightly. It was deathly quiet and there was a strange smell in the air.
He had never seen the city like this. He had never seen anything like this. Even his quiet little village was more lively than this on the worst of days. "What's going on here?" he asked quietly. The question wasn't really directed at the King, he just needed to say it to fill the horrible silence.
Tonight had been fine, and suddenly it was going to hell.
"Something must have gone horribly wrong while we were inside. It's never this quiet when it's this early." he said as he undid the ribbon on his sword. It was better to be safe than sorry. Even if it seemed like no one was around something could be lurking in the shadows.

Where is Mother? She never disappears. Never lets her children out of sight. They were precious, never to be left behind or neglected. The smell of cinnamon and sugar and cooked dough was enticing. Mother, please can't I have some? Please, only one. I promise it won't spoil my appetite. I'll even share with Adrianne. There would have been no tears upon denial, but damn if it wasn't desired at that moment. The smile betrayed her choice before she could vocalize. Alright, but if you don't finish your dinner tonight no dessert, promise? I promise. Now there were tears. It would have been better if Mother said no.

"I don't like this at all," Thyme agreed in a low voice. She remained standing next to the door of the pub they'd just exited. Some instinct was telling her to go back inside and escape whatever strangeness had crept over the streets. At the same time, that instict had just driven her away from the odd scene within. What the hell was going on...?
"Maybe the police cleared the streets for something?" she suggested, voice uncertain. "I don't smell smoke so it wasn't a fire. Besides, there would be a crowd. But I do smell... something." A crime? Heavy incense to cover up a murder? Her mind made up several morbid possible scenarios and discarded them in turn as unlikely. But so was finding the streets of the effing Capital deserted.
Glancing down the street in either direction, a splash of color caught her eye and she paused to squint. "Is it just me, or is there someone on the road down there?" They looked... small.

Ichigo raised an eyebrow. If the police had cleared the streets he was fairly certian someone would have informed them. Then again not many people had come and gone during the evening. His paw remained on his sword. "I smell something weird too. I can't quite place it," his tail curled as he followed the woman's gaze down the street. Uneasiness was welling up inside of him. It would be nice to know they weren't along but for all he knew it could be someone dangerous. He summoned Orihime. The little Mome squeaked cheerfully and rubbed up against her owner's icy leg, giving him a curious look. He had managed to train the adorable creature to do a few things, and investigating was one of the things she did rather well. He took his hand off his sword to scoop up the creature. "We can send Orihime to investigate. I want to poke around here for a moment. I don't like any of this and someone could be skulking around the pub."

Oh, a Spade summon! Thyme didn't often think about the little creatures, but her mother's Mome had been the most wonderful heater on a cold winter night. It was kind of nice to see a friendly one again, rather than the bitchy creatures full of attitude that seemed more prevalent.
"Yes, always better to send a scout. I'm not especially eager to move far away from the building. I don't know. The feeling just... it doesn't inspire much confidence, does it? I want to stay close enough to dart back inside if I need to, and I wouldn't normally say something like that, but it's all just unusual."
She shifted and called up her sword as a precautionary measure, wishing she didn't feel the need. Even if the drink went to her head, her Gred would be able to strike true.
And what is this now? Some sort of ghost town? shouldn't have gone out with him, now should you? Heh.
