Ilana blinked. Since he was twenty? But Tavor looked so young! "How old are you Tavor? I have to say, you don't look a day over twenty as it is!" she said smiling. She herself wasn't that old...She thought about that for a moment. She had lost track of her age around 18 years of age. After that...well...it just didn't seem very important to her. But what if Tavor wanted to know? She hoped he wouldn't ask...it would be horribly embarrassing to tell him that she didn't know. And what if she was younger? Would Tavor feel even worse about the night before?
She didn't dwell on it. She was having to much fun trying to instigate some sort of play, her hidden childish nature coming out full force. "I'm playing with you silly! What else would I be doing leaping around like a child?" she giggled and nudged him again, trying to get him to chase her, but realizing he wasn't following her. "Don't you like to play? Don't tell me your to old to play Tavor!" she giggled teasingly. She knew some adults just didn't seem to enjoy playing or acting like a child once they reached a certain age...but she certainly wasn't one of those kinds of people.

his ears twitched and he blinked a few times in rapid succession at that question ... he hadn't really kept track of that either. His expression slipped into a thoughtful one as he tried to calculate his own again in reference from his children's and from the time
Erm.... I think 30 ... or so?
He shrugged it off, it wasn't really important ... age never was. However ... she did make him a little curious. She seemed so... young and naive ... suits he hoped she wasn't too young ... then he would feel awful again. He was just now starting to let all those awkward feelings drift off into the back of his mind.
Since you ask .... how about you?
He didn't move, not even when he was nudged once more. His tail wiggled a bit behind him as he watched her dance around him like a giggling fool... she was playing? Was this play? He tilted his head to the other side in confusion.
No ... I just ... don't know what to do.

Ilana blinked. He was that old? Really? He really didn't look it, but she supposed she wasn't a good judge. After all, she hardly knew her own age. She blushed a bit. She knew she wasn't as old as him, and while this didn't bother her, she wondered if he would care. She grew nervous. What if he made her go away because she was too young? What if he wouldn't like her...or want to...kiss her anymore if she was too young? Not that she knew if he even wanted to do any of that stuff ever again anyway.
"I...I'm not sure." she said softly, her playful banter stopping momentarily as she worried. She tried to calculate her age, "I think...I'm around 22...or 23." she said, quickly following up with the question that was making her anxious. "Is that...bad?"
She didn't understand why he wouldn't play back and then he said it all. She cocked her head slightly at the rat. "You've never played tag or any chasing games before?" she asked, very much bewildered that the older man didn't know how to play one of the simplest games of all. She was not judgemental. Just...very shocked that someone could go their entire life without playing such a game.

Why would that be bad?
He tilted his head to the side once again and twitched his whiskers forward with a mixture of confusion, intrigue and even a bit of amusement. He curled his tail up and then let it fall back down onto the grass from time to time as he watched her, breakfast once again completely forgotten in favor of something else. She was such an odd, interesting person.
No ... I think I've watched before though ...
His little white ears flicked foreword as he watched her curiously, not entirely sure what to do still, and he also wasn't certain why she seemed so surprised either. Was .... not playing such games really that odd or was it just him? He twitched his little nose as he mulled it over in his mind, still watching and waiting for her to clue him on how things worked. Socializing wasn't exactly his forte.

"Well...it shouldn't be, but....I don't know...Nevermind." she said turning away from him slightly. It was evident that she was really uneasy with something or other, her body language spoke that clearly, but it was a moment or two before she retracted her last statement, "You wont...make me leave will you?" she said finally, her eyes looking a little worried. Suits...if in the end it was her age that drove them apart. She thought back to her mom. Hadn't that been one of the defining reasons her father didn't stay with her? The little bit of worry turned into a whole lot of anxiety. She had to ask herself why though. How had she possibly managed to get herself so attached? It was a disaster waiting to happen, but she hoped that she was right about Tavor's character. He wouldn't do anything to be hurtful...right?
She tried to let her thoughts go back to playing. It was easy enough. She was very deeply surprised about the fact that he had never played such a simple game. "Never? Really? Well...we ill just have to change that." Ilana said, a small smile on her face, all previous worry and breakfast momentarily forgotten. "Well...you....One person is the chaser...and the other person is the chased. You could play with more then one person...and...you just...run after and away from people....It's fun!" she said encouragingly, leaping over him once again, as if to indicate that she wanted to be chased. She nudged him again and leaped away from him, she had a toothy grin on her face. "I bet you can't catch me..."

As he continued to watch her his expression grew steadily more concerned, something was quite obviously bothering her but ... she didn't seem to want to tell him exactly what it was. He would respect her wishes though and drop the subject for now ... he didn't want to make her sad or, even worse ... angry. Besides, there was another more... lighthearted subject at hand.
He hesitated a moment after she explained things to him and nudged him, still not entirely sure if he should give this a go or not, but he finally gave in. He got up onto all fours and curled his tail up over his back and gave chase in that odd, but rather adorable manner that rats ran, somewhat hop ... somewhat run. He really wasn't sure if he could catch her ... but it was nice to stretch out his limbs and have himself a good chase.

She let the subject drop, not really wanting to dwell on whether he would leave her or not just now. Not when she was having so much fun.
She was most certainly faster then him, being a prey animal, she was built for speed, but she hadn't imagined how fast he would be either. She giggled at his gait, it was really very adorible, but she didn't say anything about it. She didn't want to make him feel like she was mocking him or something. She just thought it was cute. She took the chance to prance around him, being sure to avoid him touching her. It was funny, she had decided to pick the one game where she had to run from being touched by him, when that was all she really wanted in the first place. She laughed again.
She moved around the tress effortlessly, always being sure to stay in reach of Tavor. Or well...a couple feet away from arms reach. "I used to play this all the time with my siblings..." she said, her voice semi-breathless...a familiar sound now...though not as passionate. She was having fun, her smile was broader then it had ever been. "What do you think?" she couldn't help but ask.

He was primarily a prey animal as well, but his legs were far shorter then hers and didn't give nearly as good, or long of a stride as hers. Despite this he was doing his best at trying to just keep up with her, he'd never be able to catch her and he knew that, he wasn't playing to catch her anyhow. He was playing simply to make her happy, to see her smile and to hear her laugh .... and it was working.
However, she was teasing him in a good natured fashion and he could tell ... the way she moved in and then danced away, it was far to obvious. At some point though a mischievous grin crossed his features and he made a fake charge at her before swerving to the side and using his small frame to his advantage by diving into some tall grass to hide. He wasn't quite sure what he was doing but this new mode, this play mode that his mind was in told him it might be fun for him to hide and have her find him ....

When Tavor ran at her she giggled the way a little kid would when they were about to get cought, rearing onto her little back legs before jumping away. She turned to face him once again, and he was gone. At first the smile continued to cling to her face, but she slowly begin to realize that he was really gone. She sniffed around, her ears wiggling this way and that frantically. Did he just....leave her? Her eyebrows furrowed and the smile was completely gone now. "Tavor?" she said softly, her voice still showing a bit of happiness. She didn't want to jump to conclusions.
She couldn't help herself however, and she found herself worrying more and more as her head swong around to attempt to find him. "No....no...no...no..." she began chanting as she realized he was nowhere in sight. Oh suits...he left her...he left her in the forest. Did he not like her? While she had been worried he would do something like this, she wasn't compeltely sure he had the kind of personality to. But suits...she was alone. Her eyes started watering. "Tavor...Tavor where are you..." she called out. "Please...don't leave me...I..." it was about then she stumbled over a rock, crashing down on the floor. She let out a pained cry and curled into fetal position, her leg burning horribly.
