He'd thought that she'd saw him skitter into the bushes so he stayed low and crawled deeper into them to properly hide, something his dark coloring was good for. He'd ended up finding something there though ... berries! His ears perked with interest as his little nose twitched, getting a proper whiff of them ... raspberries? He turned to make his way back out to let Ilana know the good knew when he heard her calling for him, but she didn't exactly sound alright.
He crawled a bit faster and then that's when he heard her call out in pain and moved as fast as he could, ignoring the little smacks and cuts the branches gave him as he did. He appeared in the open again and scanned the area quickly, trying to find her and trying not to let the panic that had spiked his heart rate to cloud his mind completely.
When his eyes finally fell on her form he took off full speed at her and shifted back to his bipedal form when he was close enough to her to drop heavily to his knees ... it hurt but ... he was far more concerned about her then himself.
Ilana!? Ilana what happened?
He placed his hands on her form, his expression holding as much concern as his voice did.

Ilana couldn't do anything, to overwhelmed to move. Her leg hurt so bad, she couldn't help but let the tears flow freely. Suits...she was in so much trouble now. Hurt in the woods, all alone, and with Tavor nowhere to be scene. "Suits...your a fucking idiot Ilana." she murmured to herself in fustration. She never really cursed, but well, if one was going to...this seemed about a really good time. She pretty much was an idiot, getting hurt alone in the forest was just about the worst possible thing that could happen. But more then that, she had her eyes off of Tavor for about five seconds and he was suddenly gone. She couldn't come to terms with that, she was still in shock, though she shed a couple tears. She had thought...that at the very least...after everything...they were on friendly terms. Had she just been played for a fool?
It was about then, when she began doubting, that she heard a rushing sound coming for her. Panicing, she whimpered and attempted to get up, only to fall flat on her face again. Luckily however, it wasn't anything dangerous. It was Tavor! He was back. She couldn't ignore the sensation of her heart jumping out of her chest. She dragged herself over to his kneeling form, and couldn't help but begin sobbing as she snuggled into his fur. "I thought I lost you!" she said helplessly, trying to get as close to him as possible. Suits she had gotten so attached to the male. "I thought you left me..." her voice was so distrot that it was hard to make out exactly what she was saying. It was times like this she wished she had bipedal, so she could wrap her arms around and never let go.
One of her back legs bled freely, though now that Tavor was back, she wasn't paying much attention to the hurt limb.

When she snuggled herself up into his fur he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close, taking a hand on stroking her from the back of her head, down her neck and over her shoulders in an attempt to comfort her. Suits, what happened while he was in the bushes? He had a little inkling that it had something to do with him, especially after what she said but ... now was not the time to feel guilty.
Ilana ... what happened?
He had her pulled close and was comforting her already so he took the time to scan her over for any injuries and his eyes widened ever so slightly at the sight of blood on her leg. Suits blood made him a little uneasy but ... he was certain that she ... needed him.
Suits you're bleeding!
He had things to fix her up in his pack, but it was back by the tree his cloak was still hanging on ...

She could feel herself calming down quickly as the rat biped pet her head and neck, holding her close. Suits, what was she thinking...she really was an idiot. How could someone this kind ever be someone to leave someone behind? She snuggled her head into him, her sobbing slowing, until she was left only with small hiccups. Of course Tavor wouldn't leave her behind. Not without telling her...
"I thought you left me..." she repeated again happy to snuggle into his lap again. It was strange how she would crave the safety of his arms and lap again after the night before, but there was nothing sexual in her motion to climb into his lap. It was like a small child's affection. At his exclimation, she looked down at her leg. Oh, yes, that was right, she had fallen over and hurt herself. "I tripped." her words meek even in her mind. She began licking at the wound but whinced at the pain. "Did I break it?" she asked worriedly, looking up at him.

Actually, the sight of blood made him start feeling sick. It was a little odd that it would, it wasn't like he hadn't seen plenty of his own blood over the course of his lifetime but .... there was just something about someone else's that made his stomach turn. He shifted his gaze away from her leg and to the grass, just to regain his composure.
N-no ... I think you've just cut and sprained it.
He rested his head atop her neck, and closed his eyes... not wanting another glimpse for the time being.
I have supplies in my pack though ... but it's over by the stream. Do you think you can get up and ... walk on the other three legs? I'll help you up .... if you need me too ...
He couldn't keep all of the worry out of his voice, he certainly hoped he was right and she didn't break it. He knew all too well how awful a broken bone was, especially a limb and he really didn't want her to have to go through that. Carefully he moved his own head and brought hers up so that she was looking at him ... he didn't want her to do something she couldn't and hurt herself more. He'd feel even more awful ...

Tavor looked like he was going to be ill. It worried her a bit...was the wound that bad? She really hadn't thought it was that disgusting. At his words she looked down at the wound again, reaching down to lick with her thin tongue. It seemed he was right. It didn't really feel broken from what she could tell...but it did hurt a great deal, and she groaned as she attempted to flex her hoof. "Oh suits...that was really dumb of me..." she sighed, scolding herself. She smiled when he rested his little distressed head against her neck. She nuzzled his own reassuringly.
"I could certainly try....you might need to help me balance...I've never really tried to walk with only three legs before..." she said softly looking at his face. She was cought in the headlights of his gaze, her eyes looking dreamily back at him. She appreciated the amount of concern in his features, it was good to know he cared. It made her feel a lot better, and made the previous doubts start to flutter away. She had something stuckin her throat...words maybe...but her brain couldnt formulate them...and so she said nothing, simply staring back at him, her face so close to his.

you didn't do it on purpose, so it's not dumb.
His tone was light, he was trying to make her feel better about all of this. He didn't think she was the type to hurt herself just for attention so he was trying to make it all seem less ... bad? He wasn't certain, but he did know sitting around and blaming themselves wasn't going to get them anywhere so it was a useless action.
I can certainly do that for you ... just lean on me if you need to.
He gave her a little smile when he noticed she was looking at him again and an odd, but not at all unpleasant feeling came over him, he couldn't quite describe it but .... looking into her eyes made him feel a little... panicky along with that good feeling and so he started to carefully get up before he did anything to embarrass himself, even if his tail twitched about nervously.

She shook her head. No, she really hadn't done it on purpose. She still wasn't entirely feeling better about the situation though, after all...if she hadn't jumped to conclusions and watched where she was going then she wouldn't be having this problem, or making a burden for Tavor.
She could tell something was going on behind his eyes, and she began thinking as well, mostly wondering what he was thinking. The stare lasted almost a little to long, as if she was waiting for something to happen, but it didn't. She let out a little sigh as he began to get up, helping her up with him, and she did her best to balance herself. The way deers were engineered in the world of evolution was to have perfect balance with all their stick thin legs, to not have one useable usually meant death, but luckily Tavor was there to help her regain her balance where she didn't have a leg. She tucked it neatly under her, making her back legs look a bit like a flamingo stance.
She began moving forward, almost falling and smacking down on the ground once again with the very first step, but she cought herself. Her eyes went wide for a moment, not wanting to fall on the ground, but eventually she tried again. The second step was not as bad...but certainly not getting much better, "I guess...this might take a while." she blushed a bit, continuing to try...and eventually getting better enough that they could keep a slow but steady space. She blushed again as she asked, "Why did you run away?"

We've got all day ... no worries.
He grinned down at her, happy to see that she was doing a little better moving, He flicked his tail over and curled it around her middle to try and help a bit more, but the contact did bring a bit of color to his cheeks and ... his ears as well. Suits, why was he still so terribly awkward when it came to touching her? It was so ... strange, he generally didn't react like this for this long after meeting someone right? So why did she give him all sorta of panicky feelings that both delighted and frightened him? He tilted an ear down in her direction when she spoke, her words successfully distracting him from his thoughts.
I g-guess I just ... got c-caught up in the moment ... I thought ... you saw me hide ...
He flipped his ears down into an almost drooped but not quite position.
I'm sorry Ilana ... I won't do it again, promise.
Instead of just .. .staying down he tried to brighten the mood a bit with his little bit of news.
I.... did find some ... berries though.

She was happy with the support around her middle. It was actually helping her a great deal, it was like walking with three legs while being in some sort of...hamock like contraption. It allowed her to walk at a better pace. But more then that, she was happy to have him touching her. She blushed again, Suits she thought they had both gotten over that! She supposed not. She wasn't quite sure what to make of the sensations either. She would have thought that after the night before...touching wouldn't matter so much, but suits how she craved him to pet her, or accidentily lay his tail against her. It was as if since the night before, she couldn't bare to have him not touching her in some sort of way. She laughed nervously at the thought and blushed dark crimson all over. She had never thought herself to be shameless...but she supposed she was with those kinds of thoughts!
When he told her about his hiding, she felt bad, her eyes flopping to the sides of her face. "Oh Tavor...I'm so sorry to jump to such horrible conclusions...I didn't see you hide...I thought you had left me behind." she shook her head, "I'm so sorry I thought you so unkind as to do something like that....I guess...After last night...I don't know...but...I'm afraid to be parted from you...I don't want to leave your side...unless you wanted me to...but...if you do...please tell me..." she looked at him, her eyes pleading with him to understand that she was sorry...and that she wanted to be with him for as long as he would allow her. "You don't have to be sorry...I would have loved playing hide and go seek...I guess...I just let my insecurities get the best of me..." she was so ashamed of herself.
Her ears perked a little bit when he mentioned finding some berries, "I wish I wasn't lame...then I could help you pick them...but...as it is...I don't think ill be getting anywhere fast..."
