Igal listened to the others, nodding here and there and taking a sip of tea from time to time, but still he seemed detached somehow. He was an onlooker for now, fighting against natural instinct to want to question the boy a bit. He didn't want to make the same mistake he had made with Aurelius, and it was only his knowledge that Ilana was a very centered woman which kept him from worrying himself into relinquishing his questions. He wrapped his arm around Astyana and simply listened.
"I'm not going anywhere in a hurry Mom." she said with a reasurring smile. It was easy to tell in the woman's voice that she missed having her children in the house. She wished so badly she had hands that could reach across and grab her mothers. She knew Astyana always appreciated affection as a way of reassurance, after all...she was the same way. Though in this instance...she wasn't worried. Tavor and her did...well...just fine on their own...and Avington wasn't a bad region, at least from what she knew she could make that assessment.
She continued to laugh, slightly uncomfortible, "Oh...I don't think I will be travelling alone again any time soon. After my experience I know my limits." she smiled a bit more confidently, turning to Tavor. She wanted to lick him, just give him a quick peck on the cheek, but she knew Tavor was dealing with his shyness. She didn't need to go and kill the boy from embarrassment, so she did her best to hold herself back.
"We were just talking about that!" she said to her mother with a bit of a nod, "We were just discussing how it was so strange that we hadn't met eachother earlier, though he says his son..." she suddenly had a thought in the middle of her sentence....oh crap...did Tavor not want her to tell them about his children? She bit her lip. She wasn't getting any better about sticking her foot in her mouth....She looked at Tavor appologetically.
Igal quirked a brow. Ok...now he couldn't help it...he had to at least ask ONE question..."You have a son, Tavor? I hate to change the tone of this conversation...but do you mind if I ask where the mother is?" he had...reason to worry after all...children made things difficult...He and Astyana would know that more then anyone.
