Oh don't be silly ... you're more help then you know.
And he conveniently covered up the bit of color to came to his cheeks by turning and collecting the items he'd need and standing up, stretching a little bit as he did. They were both being terribly silly actually, but he wouldn't mention that ... he'd just try and make her feel less silly ... if he could. Oh! he'd need the matches he got from Corvistowne ... wouldn't he? Yes ... he cheated when it came to fire making ... he never did master the whole .... two rocks together method or the twig rubbing. He reached in and snagged those and placed them in the pot as well before turning to her once more.
I'll be back as quickly as I can!
He wasn't gone long as he'd been able to find enough things to keep the fire going as long as he'd need it ... he was boiling water not cooking after all. He filled the pot with water and threw everything together, adding in the leftover berries so it wouldn't be quite as bitter for her, and when it was ll said and done and... cooled, he brought it over to her.
I warn you ... it won't taste very good.

He spent the next couple of days worrying over her and her sprain .... feeling less and less shy as each day passed. With that things got much less awkward and he talked a bit more freely about things that would otherwise make him want to clam up and keep it all to himself. He was starting to worry less about her getting to know him and get close to him and had actually started to want her to be there .... she was such a delightful, sweet girl.
And tonight he felt she was doing well enough to show her what he'd wanted to in the beginning. Gently he shook her shoulder, he wouldn't try to terribly hard to wake her ...
Ilana ... are you awake?

Ilana was growing stronger everyday. In fact, she had only needed the pain killer concoction for about 2 days...which was a bit of a godsend, seeing how...even with the berry flavor, it tasted worse then anything that Ilana could have imagined. She downed it always with a smile, holding back the gag reflex as much as possible.
It had been a while now since her last treatment, and they had been camping out in the location for over a week. Ilana began walking more on her leg, and much to her suprise, she was finding she was getting better and better with each passing day. She had expected the recovery period to be much longer.
On this particular day, it seemed as if the night had come faster then usual, growing dark just as she was beginning to feel awake. Oh well, another lazy day. She had settled herself down to sleep, her eyes closed and began drifting when she felt a gentle shake, her eyes opened quickly, her head raising slightly to see Tavor above her. "I am...I feel rather energetic to be honest...I was just trying to force myself to sleep." she gave him a small smile.

His little white ears were perked fully forward and he watched her curiously until she responded. Oh good, she was awake ... and she didn't sound like he'd woken her either so there wasn't any room for him to feel like a horrible person! Her curled his feather tipped tail into it's happy shape and flashed her a smile.
Good! I think you're leg is good enough for me to show you something.
Truth be told he hadn't slept much the first few days worrying over her, he'd become even more of the worrying type since he'd had his kids, and he'd been poking around the area outside of their campsite to see what he could find. That's actually how he'd located the various food items they'd been eating over the week .... but he'd also found something else, something he was almost dying to show her. He was excited enough that his energy was almost ... tangible.

Ilana couldn't help but mirror his own excitement. It was as if the good vibes were running through her veins, and she could hardly contain herself. She was to nervous to spring up, but she moved as quickly as possible, her little green tail swishing this way and that. "What is it?" she asked moving forward, closing the gap between her and Tavor slightly before she moved to take his side, satilite ears perked forwards and towards him.
The night was quite lovely, the sky still having a twinge of blue, not unlike the color of Tavor's wings, but darker. Frogs were croaking a rather appealing chorus...and little wandering lights alerted her to the fact that fireflies were out. She smiled, "Well...what are we waiting for! Show me!" her green eyes sparkled with the light of the fireflies and her own growing excitement. It helped that he thought her ready to walk around. Truth be told she really hadn't left their little clearing by the brook the entire time they had camped there...and she wanted so badly to remind herself that there was more world to see.

He flipped his tail this way and that for a moment before he stood up and took a few steps toward the water and stopped to wait for her to get up and join him. He was rather happy to see that she was as curious as she was and his grin broadened a bit before he moved toward the brush where their little creek ran over some rocks. He held the branches back so that she could pass through with ease and the headed for another clump of foliage.
It's right through here!
He moved the brush again let her into hte little space amoungst the bushes and other forms of plant life that grew here in a clump and in the middle of it all was a flower, but it was a special one ... even if it wasn't hte one he'd come here to find.
It only blooms at night .... I wanted to ... share it with you.

Ilana followed his lead, ducking under bush and cover as he moved various branches away so she could walk more easily. She smiled broadly. Tavor had went above and beyond the call of duty to help her out and it seemed every chance he got, he proved to be a gentleman. It made her blush. He really was one of the best people she knew...(even if he was one of the only people she had grown beyond aquantence with, besides her family). She dipped her head a bit demurely. She had been a hopeless romantic as a child, imaging a man on a beautiful white horse, armor adorning them to come and whisk her away with him to whereever they were to start their life together. But the more and more she spent time with Tavor...she realized he was all she really ever wanted.
She was still rather confused about him. Still wished he would be more affectionate towards her...that maybe they might start to move in the direction she had been hoping they would since that night they had snuggled up in that nook in the rain. More then just a need for his affection and touch...she had felt wonderful with him...as if she was complete. She had distanced her feelings slightly as he healed her. But with her health came the idea that they would have to part eventually. Ilana was not the type of woman to injure herself just to keep a man close...but...well...it was an entertaining thought from time to time.
It was in the middle of all her thinking that they stumbled upon the flower in the small clearing. White and radient, it looked up at the moon...the way she looked up at Tavor now. "It's so beautiful!" she said lamely...wishing she had more words to discribe her feelings for it. Really...it was all rather romantic...but she couldn't be sure if she was reading it that way...or if Tavor was truely just being a sweet guy...and she was being obsurd.

Truth be told he didn't know how he felt ... in fact he'd resigned himself to the thought that he'd never find anyone and that life would be far less disappointing if he didn't even care .... and then all of a sudden Ilana showed up and through his whole mindset for a loop and a part of his mind was still trying to desperately cling to that mindset while another wanted to return the girl's affection ... he was torn but trying not to worry himself over it because when he did it seemed to worry her and he didn't want that.
Moment she looked up at him the way she did he took a hard swallow, she was so very pretty with the moonlight dancing across her coat ... why oh why was she into him of all people? He was small, scruffy and rotting for Queen's sake ... there were so many other people out there .... but she wanted him. He shifted a bit, trying his hardest not to blush under her stare.
There's .... something else I could show you as well.

Ilana could feel herself blushing all over, it was really kind of a sappy moment, and Tavor had just gulpped audibly. She tried to take the pressure off by looking away, focusing her attention on the flower once again. It really was quite beautiful, the way the petals bent back so as to obsorb the moonlight better. The way it seemed to shimmer, looking slightly blueish white. It almost looked like virgin snow encarnated into a flower. She took a step towards it, then another, until she touched it with her nose, inhaling. It was a soft smell...cold...but lovely. It would make a wonderful perfume...she imagined it could sell for quite a bit of money.
But who was she kidding. As lovely as the flower was...she couldn't help but think back to Tavor...it's as if her eyes wanted to move back into her skull and push through to look at him from the back of her head. She tried hard not to turn around and look at him. She failed miserably as he spoke to her. She had to make eye contact or it would be rude, the flush growing throughout her body again. "Something else?" she said softly...rather curious as to what else he might have found while wondering around the woods gathering berries and the like. "Is it another flower? Did you find the roses?" she both was excited at the prospect of finding what they were looking for...and horrified.

He nodded, ears and tail twitching nervously as she shifted her gaze back to him. It was still terribly awkward to look at her, especially since the romantic aspects of what he was doing finally seeped into his head, he really wasn't making things any less confusing for the poor girl ... was he? It really wasn't her fault he needed time to think things over ....
No .... I haven't found the roses yet ... and ... it's actually not a flower. It's ... something I've wanted to show you since you first said you'd never really been out at night.
He smiled softly to her, curling his tail up once more and shifting his wings. He held the brush back once again and motioned for her to leave the little cluster of foliage. He hoped she appreciated what he was going to show her next as much as he enjoyed it ... she seemed to have similar tastes as him so... he thought she really would.
He walked toward the water once more and followed it for awhile before it opened up into a little lake .... or was it really just a big pond? He wasn't entirely certain about the classifications of bodies of water ... but the effect was all the same.
Look at the water's surface ....
What he wanted her to see was the reflection of the moon and stars glittering on the surface .... He really loved the night sky.

She was reluctant to leave the flower behind, but well...she was horribly curious to see what Tavor had in store. His words were disjointed, and she could tell she was being to forward again. She really wasn't trying to...it just...couldn't be helped...she supposed. She tried to push back the warm fuzzy feelings and the ache, and walked underneath the branches he had parted for her.
She was still limping, but it was so slight as to be hardly noticed at all...and it didn't even hurt! Tavor was right...she was ready to start walking again. "You know...I feel great on this leg...I think we can start moving again tomarrow morning..." she said softly as they walked along the bank of the brook. It was a moment or two before they reached a rather large body of water. She did as he instructed, looking first at her reflection in the water. She looked so insignificant on the face of the water....and it only worsened when she looked up, seeing the moon and the stars covering the water like a blanket.
"Lovely..." she said, trying not to say to much and ruin the moment. It was like a gigantic mirror. It was truely magnificent. She touched her hoof to the surface, creating a ripple that waved over the stars, and made them twinkle and swirl like the fireflies that surrounded the whole of the water. "The world can be quite beautiful....can't it?" she asked softly...more as a retorical question then anything, though part of her wanted to hear him answer. Part of her just wanted to hear him talk...
