Really? Well then .... I think we should finally find a town and get a proper meal. What do you think?
Honestly he didn't really want to leave the area they'd inhabited the past week, it was so pretty ... and provided them well all through the duration of their stay. But they'd have to leave eventually ... him especially, he had kids to get back to in the Capitol at some point and he wasn't going to just ... abandon them.
He wanted to stay here by the lake for awhile and sat down at the water's edge, making sure no part of him touched it, and curled his tail around himself so it would be out of the way should she decide to join him. He watched as the water's surface rippled and dance after her touch and couldn't help but smile at her words ... even if he wasn't looking at her.
Nature can be beautiful .... or it can be wrathful .... people are a lot like that to. Although it's a bit harder to see a person's true colors where nature is just ... what you see is what you get.

"A warm bath would be a welcomed thing..." she said with a bit of a soft laugh. She hadnt really had problems with the foods that they had been eatting in their clearing. She was happy to eat berries day in and out...though she supposed...it wasn't a good enough food sourse. She had also enjoyed dipping in the streams on occation...though...there was still part of her that wanted to soak in some nice warm water. There really was nothing like it....It eased everything.
She nodded as he spoke of nature and it's beauty. She could agree with his sentiments. She sighed contently as she lay down, tucking her legs under her as she looked into the water. It continued to ripple, meshing their two reflections together. She couldn't stop looking at the effect. It seemed natural somehow. But she knew...she knew Tavor probably didn't see it that way. She was being rediculous and moody again. She laid her head down in the damp grass and closed her eyes slightly, not really wanting to deal with the emotions that came when she thought of Tavor under the circumstances. She was only disappointing and confusing herself. "You are right...I wish...people were easier to understand."

Oh! A bath .... that really would be nice! Actually a warm bath and soap would be a delightful combination ... the thought made him realize he probably didn't smell that great since the only way they had to keep clean was the stream. Yes ... it would be very nice to get back to civilization for a little bit ...
He kept his gaze on the water, only breaking the stare to glance at her when she laid down next to him, but he fixed it back on the still moving surface of the water. There were a lot of things that could be said or done at this point but, really .... he wasn't sure what any of those would be. He was so very clueless when it came to trying to impress someone.
Her words made him feel bad though ... a part of his mind screamed that they weren't about him ... but what could he really do? Well ... he could at least give a response.
It's not .... in our nature.

A Bath...some tea...(though Tavor had made some magnificent fresh tea out of things he found around the camp one day)...a book perhaps. Yes...taking it easy in a place you knew you were safe was something of a luxury she never realized was. She was definately going to appreciate things a lot more after this experience. She was sure of this.
She allowed herself to drift slightly as she lay in the damp grass near thee water. It was calming back down...and there was only a faint twinkle now on the surface of the water. Her mind wandered back to the flower in the clearing. She couldn't help but feel it was somehow poetic. Both things he showed her tonight were so beautiful...so heart melting...and still she felt like the flower looking up at something beautiful, and it shining down back on her...completeing the effect...but in the end...the moon and the flower were miles and miles apart.
She looked up at Tavor. She thought about what she could say. In truth...people in general could be really confusing...she had not just been talking about the man in front of her...but well...she couldn't deny the fact that she had been thinking of him when she spoke. She laid her head back on the grass looking at the water before dipping a hoof in the water and causing more ripples. "I know...still..." she said...kind of lamely...but really...she couldn't argue. She wanted to scream at him to just give her a chance...well...not really...she doubted she could ever justify screaming at someone. It was just rude...and unnessesary...not to mention mean. She said nothing else.

It was a beautiful night out even with just a hint of a chill and he had to be honest with himself ... he couldn't imagine sharing it with anyone but Ilana. He'd grown rather fond of her over the past week and it was coming to the point where he couldn't deny it anymore. He sighed softly as he reached out and oh so tentatively ran his fingers along her slender neck to rest his hand between her shoulders.
you know what you told me a week ago? I think ... .we should talk about that... n-now.
He tilted his head to the side and peered down at her, a soft smile resting on his muzzle. He'd never done anything like this before and he hadn't even the smallest clue as to what he should say or where he should begin ... but they definitely needed to talk but he'd lived around enough women growing up to know you didn't want to phrase it quite like that.

She closed her eyes briefly, and wondered mildly if Tavor would be against sleeping here tonight...where they might wake for a refreshing dip. She also wasnt feeling much in the mood to move. She wanted to wake up and remember the wonderful things they saw tonight...not that she wouldnt but a visual trigger was always nice.
It was then that Tavor's soft voice came to her ears. She lifted her head to look at him...her ears droping slightly. "I'm sorry I was so forward...that I...still am a bit." she admited, the edges of her mouth twitching downward slightly. "I'm sorry...I was selfish...and should have been thinking about your feelings...and that I should be thinking about your feelings now...I'm probably just making you feel horribly uncomfortible. I guess I just don't really know how to reign myself in..." she blushed scarlet before looking down at the water. Her neck arched in a lovely s curve.
She may have been interpreting him all wrong. She had stuck herself out there...and well...it hadn't gone as she had hoped. A part of her still wished that Tavor would possibly understand where she was coming from, but well...she knew that he had every right to refuse her. She supposed...she just needed to learn disappointment...and try not to let it effect her so much. She turned her head to look at him, and smiled sweetly, though her eyes looked a bit pained. "As long as I can be your friend, see you often...you know? I think...that would be nice...If you would let me Tavor..."

His ears came forward as she began to speak but the more she spoke the further back they went. Had he really come off that harsh when she'd confessed her feelings for him then? He'd tried so very hard not to but she was a sensitive soul ... wasn't she? He sighed again, but not in the same manner as before, and his face looked apologetic for a brief moment.
Being your friend is fine .... but ...
He paused for a moment and fiddle with his hands, clicking his purple claws together as he tried to come up with a decent response, one that wouldn't sound insanely pathetic or... cheesy. Nothing he could think of seemed good enough ... so he'd just have to go with whatever came out of his mouth and hope it was.
I ... t-think I'd like.... to try .... being something more? If you ... still wanted... of course.
And now he was oh so very nervous and he knew what she'd felt like a week ago a little better ...

His ears drooped and she regretted speaking. He was upset by something she said...and that was the very last thing she wanted to have happen. She wanted to appologize...but how? You couldnt say sorry for apologizing....least she didnt think so. She sighed a little as she looked at him...he was...mirroring her expression. She wanted to stop him...tell him there was nothing to worry about and that he didnt need to say anything. She wanted to wipe the worry from his gaze...
Then he spoke. She went still..."But?" she echoed...feeling a sudden lurch in her stomach. What did he mean by that word? Her stomach was doing flips. It could go either way...and suits forbid... She suddenly felt like crying, and looked away...trying to contain herself.
When he finally said what was on his mind she turned to face him...stunned. "Really? I still...feel the same way...I really...would like, well..." she was finding herself flustered, glowing pink. Words failed her...but well there was only one real way they could see if taking it to a deeper level could happen...if hed truely be willing to give it a shot...
She leaned closer...closing a gap between, "Let's try?"

He continued to toy with his claws until she finally finished speaking and ... moved toward him. He paused for a moment, still not sure what to do but then he gave her a smile and untangled his fingers to reach out and brush her cheek with his finger tips. This was, quite possibly, the start of a good thing .... time would be the only thing that would prove, or falsify that.
I've never .... tried before.
That sounded stupid but it was already out of his mouth and he couldn't go back and think of something better ...
He laughed lightly, nervously and twitched his tail ... a thought coming to mind.
You ... really will need to meet the kids now.
That would set off a whole new sets of worries but he'd push them aside for now and worry about that when the time came. For now, well ... for now he'd just leave it at that... unless of course she had some questions or... anything like that.
He suddenly found himself looking forward to the rest of this trip a lot more then he had in the beginning.

She stopped herself, her face painfully close to his as he carressed her cheek. She closed her eyes, her lashes lightly resting upon her cheeks, before she opened them again and allowed her emerald eyes to stare at him. Even such an innocent gesture seemed so divine...so...right. "Me either..." she said softly in responce to him, a small smile fluttering onto her features. "Maybe...thats what we both need..." she moved closer to him, finally resting her body against his, and she sighed deeply. She was a bit cold to the touch...but he was so warm, he was like a flame. She snuggled up to him, resting her chin on his shoulder.
"I always wanted to meet your children...since you first mentioned them." she said with a musical laugh. This was true...and she wanted to make sure he really knew it. She didn't want to think that she had just said it and not meant it.
She couldn't take her eyes off him. She could hardly believe it! Had he really agreed to...well...try to have a relationship with her? She could hardly wait to tell her mother! Her first boyfriend! It was all so exciting. She couldn't help herself anymore. She moved her face closer to his, finally licking his cheek gingerly.
