Shinrai's ears were wryly back, just waiting for Aderlass to mention the Marsh. Obviously, there could be no better place; it was secluded and he was an expert guide for the region, which meant that the 'mother-to-be' also had somewhere to stay. He grinned brightly at his friend; any chance to get to go home was an excellent opportunity.
"I think that's the best idea you've ever had," he said easily. His tail flicked back and forth against his hocks in thought. "I'll send El out there to prepare the cabins." The words held the same tone. "When the time comes, you may have to make your own way out there to alleviate any concerns, but I'll meet you at the edge of the Marsh." He wouldn't be able to spend the full amount of time out there either; but that meant he could also run messages back and forth. With Anouhska's aid, the Court of Clubs might never discover this illegitimate child.

The mouse listened to his friend’s plans with a close ear. That sounded like a good plan, a very good plan.
“That sounds like a wonderful plan.” He could easily keep in touch with the horse to discuss their plan further if need be and they could just as easily keep each other informed about the progress of things. He was sure that he could easily leave for about two months at least to the Marsh to deliver the child.
--
Having sent a letter a few weeks ago he had informed Whip of the date he was leaving the Court on his personal vacation to give the horse time to get things in order. Using his cane as support for his walk, he cursed under his breath. He really hoped he reached his meeting point with Whip before long.
Being about eight months along really did put a damper on things, especially when it came to traveling. He was more then ready for darn parasite to be out of his body so he could move and have control over it again. Though when he really thought about what was to come he feared for the unknown as well as the known.

The stallion was leaning idly against a tree, head back slightly with his hat pulled over his eyes, for all intents and purposes, napping lightly in the midday haze. Occasionally the tip of his tail would flick, as though to dissuade any bugs or other pests from biting him. In bipedal form, he forewent his coat, but a leather sleeve was fastened across his left bicep and draped down to still hide his left hand. Even after quite a while of losing the flesh of the hand, the stallion couldn't seem to help keeping it, and his eye, as hidden as possible from the view of those around him, even when there was no one around to see. Perhaps it was a subconscious desire to avoid seeing the curse himself.
Still, as the other man approached, the stallion neither move nor spoke until the mouse was nearly even with him.
"Cutting it a little close, aren't we, Mom?" the equine said in a low voice, still not moving.

Pulling up close to the horse, he gave the figure a glare, resisting the urge to stick his tongue out in reply to the comment. That would just give the horse more ammunition.
“I suppose I am pushing it a little close,” he looked down to glare at his stomach, that obviously held a child even through the shirt and cloak he was wearing. “However, I did not want to leave the Court till I had too. While I am gone if any Queen steps forward my spot could soon become not mine.”
Standing there before the horse, who seemed quite content to lie against the tree, the mouse placed a hand to the small of his back, wincing. The weight of the child was not helping the journey, the scars on his back were acting up causing the muscles to twitch every now and then, and to add to the wonderful experience the child was having fun doing a dance.
With a tone that was sure to show his annoyance at it all, he gave a weary sigh before asking, “Where to now?”

Rai gave a small snort, sitting up to peer impishly up at his friend from beneath the brim of his hat. "I thought you'd never ask."
The stallion rose easily, stretching briefly to work out the kinks from dozing against the tree, then rolled out his shoulders and popped his neck from one side to the next. "Before we continue! Wotever I tell you to do, do it -immediately-. Josiggy can be a lark, but she usually isn't." With that rather frightening warning, the equine headed happily down the road, tail swishing from side to side easily.
It wasn't long before he began to chatter lightly, and though the pair had been friends for a long time, this particular side of Shinrai might be surprising. For once the man didn't seem in the least bit paranoid or concerned, and his tone was very light-hearted. For once, the stallion appeared to be completely at ease.
"I'm also quite aware of your situation at the Court," the man said brightly. "Anoushka and I are working together to be certain that we're well aware of anything threatening to croup up in your Court. Though..." he gave an easy-going grin. "You seem too much beloved to be overthrown this soon."

He took in the warning from Whip with a stern nod of his head in reply. He was not about to be foolish in an realm that he was not aware of, especially when the horse was much more knowledge then he would be. “I will obey your orders as fast as this condition will let me.” he replied. His reaction time was still quick though the condition his body was in did affect the speed in which he could move. He surely hoped that the child would arrive soon.
Following his friend, he was quite surprised to see such a change in him. He could almost swear that the horse was a different person. There was definitely a change in the way the male carried himself and his step seemed to be lighter, if not different.
“Which is greatly appreciated. It would be such a pain if I had to go through all that trouble and then lose my throne to such a simple means. I will be keeping in contact with her as well,” He paused before adding, “and will need to contact Pascha as well.” He really did loath to leave the owl alone for such a long period of time. True his Spells were getting father and father between, but it still did cause him worry.

"I'll be certain to deliver the messages to him as well," the equine said neutrally. He had never seen any of the episodes that so concerned Aderlass, but he believed in his friend fully. As long as Pascha was getting better, however, and could hold it together during the next month or so, then everything would be fine.
The man's hooves gave them a light cadence akin to an upbeat marching song as they moved down the road. "Your condition is probably the biggest concern," Rai said with the same lightness, sarcasm lacking, for once, from his voice. "Once we get out into the Marsh itself we'll have to do something different. All of our paths out this way aren't for one in your... current state." Rai gave a small laugh at that, tail continuing its horse-like dance.
"I had anticipated you coming a bit earlier. But it's all right." He waved off any concern. "Don't expect this type of favour ever again though!" Rai laughed easily into the sunlight, obviously amused even though Aderlass likely had no clue wot he was talking about.

color=teal] “Thank you”[/color] he replied. The mouse did not bother to mention to his friend that he had every intention of talking to the canine and owl himself, pretty much every night, via the benefits of his Suit. Something told him that the horse would not be pleased with that choice of action and would probably do something to prevent it.
He gave a snort at the horse’s comment about the Marsh’s route being made for people who were of his “delicate condition”. He had no doubt about that. “Well do not worry about me asking a favor like this again. It will never happen again. I owe you a big favor, in return, if not many favors.” He replied to his friends comment, both joking and being serious. Whip had done a lot for him through the years; he only hoped he would be able to return the favor.

Rai waved off the comment again; whether or not Aderlass owed Rai anything, the stallion wouldn't go into it. The stallion continually did wot he thought was best and, in this case especially, it was very important to get Aderlass' illegitimate child our and away from his 'mommy' for awhile. With Elias' aid, the equine didn't doubt that they could come up with a useful child who, God willing, wouldn't take after his father. Enviroment should prove the winning factor.
After nearly an hour of walking, the stallion suddenly announced, Aha! Now begins the next leg of our journey." They stood in the road beside a wall of marshy land. Shinrai abruptly shifted to his animal form and kneeled down on the ground. "I saw them doing this in a park once," he said, ears flicking backwards mischievously. Mount up so we can get you to the cabin beofre you give birth." The stallion laughed again.

It seemed like they had been walking forever. Having been traveling for most of the day as well adding the extra weight of the child within, he was about ready to ask Whip for a short break when the horse stopped along a stretch of the road that lined the Marsh.
Coming to stop besides the horse he raised an eyebrow – which was raised higher once his friend switched to his animal form. It was not very often at all that the saw this form and for a moment he was confused to if he should do the same. When the horse knelt down he cocked his head to the side and his eyes went wide when the horse told him to get on board.
“You are kidding right?” When he saw the horse was not kidding, he hesitated a moment before getting on. This was something that he had never imagined happening. Suits he had never imagined getting pregnant either. “None of this better be mentioned to anyone” he half threatened half complained.
