"Much better," Ichigo replied cheerily as he inspected the things on the walls and shelves. It was a quaint little shop, with so many interesting things in it. He stared at one of the swords longingly. He really needed hands to do anything properly.
He need a biped form soon. If he was going to get anything done with his life he needed one to progress. He shook the thought off and continued to look around. Where had the shopkeeper disappeared to if he obviously knew Xylia so well. The mouse figured they would chat or something like that.
Then again he hadn't been around the girl for that long. He had just met her how many minutes ago? He snorted at the thought. He was a stranger in this big town with no one to rely on but another stranger. He could muse all day, but he would get nothing done. He peaked around the shelves to see Xylia talking with the shop keeper.

Xylia beamed slightly as Ichigo expressed his approval, glad that she could help him find something that satisfied his tastes. She would have to write up directions for him, so that he could return at his leisure. That his tastes seemed to overlap with hers so much made the doe curious as to what else they shared in interest. She would have to ask.
Until then, she allowed the mouse to wander off to explore the shop while she scanned through the shelves of recently acquired weaponry.
To her surprise, however, the shopkeep would quietly call her over before she'd finished browsing. Tilting her head in confusion at his strangely urgent eagerness, Xylia hurried over and leaned in against the counter.
"Hey Roland, what's the matter?"
The current shopkeep was a young 10 of Clubs from the Sorgaire Range who had taken over the shop when his father passed. He was a good craftsman but his real skill proved to be business. He was shrewd and quick of the tongue despite being a Club and, even better, had obtained some nice connections. It was from one of these connections that Roland had obtained the bundle which he currently placed on the counter before his unusual customer. He had a feeling they'd be just what she was looking for.
"Nothing's the matter! I just found something I think you'll take a liking to...held it back for you and everything." The bipedal husky laughed and wagged his tail eagerly. "Take a look?" With that said he quickly began to quickly unwrap the bundle for her, revealing the gleaming prize beneath and basking in the way she gawked. He had been right then!

He looked at some of the shelves in idle curiosity while his ears twitched to the words that were being spoken. He wanted to come back here, some of the weapons were just absolutely fascinating... More than just swords and knives, there were even brass knuckles of various varieties.
When the shop fell dead silent, Ichigo was curious. He padded over to the counter, sliding up next to Xylia curiously. He could see what the shopkeeper had produced. He raised an eyebrow. So that was what Xylia had been searching for.
He was jealous, actually. That was something he normally didn't feel or appreciate. The mouse choked back a sigh. One day he would get his biped form and find the perfect sword. Tonight however he would probably have to bleed himself on sheer principal of thinking horrible thoughts. He deserved it.
"Congratulations," Ichigo said quietly. He didn't want to bother her while she was rejoicing over the find.

Oh yes, they were perfect. Beyond perfect even. A pair of twin swords, perfectly matching and -Xylia hoped- just as well balanced. Proper swords too! They could be no further from the gaudy things that had been displayed in the previous shop but well crafted weapons! Like the bracers she had left at home, the hilt was sleek and silver with emeralds laid tastefully in the hilt. Where had Roland found these?!
Taking a deep breath, Xylia made sure her head was properly on her shoulders before she bowed her head deeply. "Thank you, Roland! Thank you! They're perfect, to every detail!"
He grinned a her with a satisfied nod. "I told you I could find 'em, Xylia!" Xylia's hands hovered over them, almost as if she were afraid to touch them and Roland chuckled with pleasure before deciding to turn his attention upon what he hoped would be a new customer. If Xylia brought him than surely he'd be interested... "Hello good sir! Welcome to my humble shop, I hope you're finding everything alright?" His expression shifted slightly and he leaned on the counter. "If not, though, I could try and find something like Miss Xylia's new treasures. To be keeping your company I would assume you reflect her tastes?"

Those were quite the swords. Ichigo stared at them while the shopkeeper and Xylia were speaking with each other. He looked up at the shopkeeper with surprise when he was addressed. "Oh yes, I'm finding everything I need. I don't think I'll have you look for something just yet." Ichigo said with a bit of cheer in his voice. This shopkeeper was a nice fellow.
"I have a long way to go before I can get a proper weapon. However, I'll probably come back to see you again," He said grinning. If he had a hat he would have tipped it. He looked back to Xylia curiously. "Are we heading out since you found what you were looking for, or am I going to have time to browse a bit more?"
He could have done either. The mouse wasn't planning to by anything on the spot.

From the corner of his vision, he noted Xylia's fingers finally descending to wrap firmly around the hilt of each sword, lifting and examining them as she did with all the previous swords he'd offered her.
But the Mid-Ranger was speaking and Roland's focus was most properly on him, on his prospective customer and his tail wagged for pleasure as he nodded cheerfully. "Good, good. I will be happy to have return, take your time - a friend of Xylia's is a friend of mine." Leaning over he extended a hand to the mouse, grinning widely until -- to his great shock and, quite obviously, Xylia's as well -- the swords disappeared in the middle of Xylia's test swing.
Xylia, almost deaf to the conversation at hand, was weighing the balance of the swords and testing their lightness and just generally basking in the delightful way they seemed to complete her arms. They truly were perfect and she was at a loss of how to repay Roland. With Ichigo speaking with Roland, she gave herself a brief moment to play with the swords. Smoothly she moved into a proper stance as if to parry a blow from an unseen enemy but in mid movement the swords gave a strange pulse and, for the briefest of moments, Xylia believed they were happy.
Which was very impossible as swords did not feel anything let alone happiness! Yet as her fingers instinctively thought to release the unusual weapons they just...vanished.
In their place laid a strange heaviness in her mind, as if her thoughts weren't her own or, more accurately, as if something else now joined with her mind.
"Oh..." She breathed out a heavy and rather uncertain sigh, her body shaking slightly as she racked her brain for understanding. She couldn't possibly have been handed enchanted swords! She'd already paid Roland and he'd asked for nothing above the ordinary price for two finely craft swords, an expense of course but not the price expected for a rarity like that!
Roland found his voice again after a long moment of slack-jawed shock. "Xylia?" He questioned, forgetting what he'd been discussing moments ago in the heat of the moment. The canine hurried around the counter, wondering all along how on earth two beautiful swords had just VANISHED out of her hand. He'd never seen anything like that before.

Ichigo blinked. What in in the Range just happened? "Uh..." he said staring at where the sword had just been. "That's not something you see everyday?"
He was in the middle of returning the man's handshake too. He put his paw back the floor so he would stop looking like a dumbfounded idiot. Okay, focus right now. "Those must have been enchanted or something if they disappeared like that." He said leaning forward to study the empty air. Not a trace of them was left. What sort of person made disappearing swords? It was quite a cruel joke, especially for the shopkeeper. He had probably just lost more than a sale.
And judging from his dumbfounded expression he was just as shocked as everyone else in the room. Ichigo felt the need to try and handle the situation properly, if there was a proper way that is. "I suppose this just means things weren't meant to be."

Xylia's look of bafflement tapered off into a confused whimper when the voices around her became solid and she was able to comprehend their speech again. The swords had felt so right, like they belonged in her hands...like they wanted to be there. That last those would, to her immense surprise, summon the two finely crafted weapons straight back into her slender digits where they belonged.
The doe twitched in surprise and pulled back from the other two, wondering if this was a cruel joke and yet knowing it wasn't.
The swords had very much become a part of her!
Ichigo had said something... Enchanted? Enchanted swords? That made sense, so much terrible tense. Where had she heard about something like this? She knew... o! There it was... The Queen, Serafino, had a summoned axe! She quietly turned to face her companion and the shopkeep, blinking at their dumbfounded expressions. "I think...they really are enchanted, Ichigo."
Roland stared for a long moment, blinking in his wonder before cursing soundly in his region's language. His friend had sold him intelligent weapons, great... Just great! "Ah... Well, I... Suppose they're yours now. Really...yours." He looked quite awkward but he tried to ignore it. "I suggest you look up intelligent weapons, or summon weapons... That's a heart specialty, so...eh, yeah..." There wasn't much more for him to say, was there?

"Well damn. Were you a heart in another life or something Xylia? Because I'm pretty sure this borders on the absolutely impossible." He tapped his nails on the counter when he spoke. That was just utterly amazing and just... he fell dead silent.
Impossible was the word that stuck in his head. There was no possible way anything but a Heart could have a summonable weapon, was there? That just rolled over quite a few theories that he had learned as a child. Thank you moment of chance. He shook his head and simply stared at Xylia. Had she been a Heart? Changing suits was more impossible. He really should just stop thinking and accept what he just saw.
He shooks his head. Okay. He just needed to stop thinking because he obviously couldn't accept what he had just saw. This really was just all in his head and he would wake up tomorrow morning and forget about it.
