"I help my father with his shipping firm. I also study business." He smiled. Wow. Tell your story to a complete stranger. He would have rolled his eyes if wasn't thinking about being respectful. He looked down at the cake and took a bite.
This was the reason why his father came to the cafe then. It was probably the best cake he had ever eaten. He grinned as he nibbled on it. "This is amazing!" he chirped.
He snapped his attention back to their former conversation. "What is the first thing on your list of things to do? I can't imagine just sitting here drinking water rather than tea, and eating cake accomplishes much of anything. Since I'm here is there anything I can do to at least help a little?" It was the truth. He was obviously inspired do do things, he wore that hat... and he carried around a cave and gloves? Why was he wearing gloves on a warm day like this? How very curious.

“Sitting here accomplishes much more then it appears, my dear friend. There is something positive to just taking a few moments to simply take in the day. Do you not think so? Now mind you, there is a complete difference to slacking off and just enjoying a moment, so if you think it is just me slacking then I will give you the privilege of thinking that I was only thinking about my plans.” He winked jokingly.
He eyed his uneaten cake for a moment as he thought about what to tell him on what was on his list then pushed it towards the bird.
“First thing to do on my list, huh? Honestly, I am still currently looking into finding a building to use for the shop, trying to analyze where the best place to setup would be. Though, I will be the first to admit that I have not had much luck in finding one.”
He figured since the bird had offered then he could at least talk his problems out. One never knew what kind of information someone might know. The lad had also said he was studying business, might as well put his skills to use. Was not like either one of them had any other pressing issues.

"Have you noticed that Capital City seems to have certain distracts? Well, you can probably find a better shop slightly outside the distract you want to be in. It'll be slightly more expensive if you want to find a workshop and apartment attached, but eventually it all evens out if you business is successful. And I can't imagine a jewelry business flopping. I'm sure you're a skilled craftsmen." Zane nodded. It was a lot to say at once, but he might as well put it on on the table.
He didn't accept the cake, he wasn't going to make a pig of himself. Even if he had a day off that didn't mean he was going to "slack off" in a certain sense of the word. "I haven't taken a day off in a while. I enjoy my work entirely too much." He smiled. Business was sometimes more of an escape than an actual job. He was eighteen and already a work-a-holic.

“While it is good to hear that you are not a slacker I do have to frown a little at your not taking time and enjoying life. There is much that you are missing out on, especially one still young like yourself.”
He looked at the cake for a long moment wishing that someone would come along and take it. He regretted buying it since he did not like sweets. He had been looking around viewing the different distracts and had decided to try and settle on the outer edges of the crafts.
“There are a few places that I have narrowed it down to, it is just finding the one that is best. A shop with an apartment does sound like the best plan, however, the one that I have my eye on is a little out of what I can afford at the moment.” He gave a little sigh. It was starting to look like he was indeed going to need to take out a loan on the place – something he was not looking forward to.

"When you enjoy numbers as much as me, it's hardly work." He grinned back at the mouse and winked. "There are plenty of good loan agencies around! I know one that's pretty good. Though it totally depends on where you get your shop. Sometimes the Diamond Court gets involved. I'm not sure what they own and what they don't." He shrugged. His dad did work there true, but he didn't pay attention all the time.
"What would your idea of fun be, anyway? Finding women or drinking tea?" He had to ask. The sparrow was curious. Who wouldn't be? He seemed to be an attractive guy, personally Zane wasn't attracted to men so he couldn't really tell. There was something about women that sent chills down his spine. In a good way of course. He was just... really bad with women. He shrugged it off. He could leave that subject for later, right now he was "enjoying" himself.

The mouse was silent for a moment, taking in the events around him. The fact that he might have to deal with a court in order to gain the building he had his eye on might put a damper on his plans, not that he would not still go through with it.
Bringing his thoughts back to the conversation he replied to the lad’s question. “Fun huh? I would have to say that drinking tea is definitely not high on that list. As for the women I am not really one to say no to what is offered my way, no matter who it is from.” He was tempted to say something more shocking just to see what kind of reaction he would receive but he pulled in the temptation.
“I usually spend my free time running around looking for amusement. Sometimes one never knows what will be handed to one, especially if you are not expecting it.” While this lad might find numbers fun, something he surely would never find enticing, he was tempted to force the lad to do something new and exciting. Oh, it would not be illegal, just something that would be new to the lad.

"You're probably the type to chase men as well. But I shouldn't make assumptions should I? I think you would get along well with my brother." He grinned. Ez would enjoy this man. Adventure seeking was a talent of his. So was coordinating. Zane could only wonder what he would think of this mouse's outfit.
"Since you seem so determined. Why don't you show me what's fun for you? I'm too curious to pass up an offer. A day off is a day off. I might as well make it interesting." He said before finishing his cake completely. Perhaps they should wrap the other one so it wouldn't go to waste. The mouse obviously didn't like it.
The waitress wandered over asking if everything was all right. Zane took the opportunity to ask for the cake to be warped up for them. She wandered off with the same smile. Zane looked to the mouse with a grin. Hopefully he had done the proper thing.

The gold and yellow striped stallion was taking his time strolling through the streets of the Capital; he had just finished to sets of business, one for the Queen and one personal, and was now pleased to take a leisurely stroll back to either of his homes. He needed to contact a certain red Morganberry mouse, but he wasn’t stressing about finishing that business. He hadn’t heard back on whether the mouse had decided on a specific location or not, so he’d had no reason to rush to prepare his funds for the venture. However, with his new stipend as a titled King of the Court of Hearts as well as his original savings, the stallion was now more secure financially and better able to back the shop Aderlass hoped to open. Having just left the bank, Shinrai had all of the needed paperwork on him, a fact accentuated by the convenient placement of the mouse directly across the way and seated at… a café? The stallion gave a snort of amusement and moved that way to place a hand on his hip and grin at the other man. ”Well, well. Never expected to see –you- in a place like this. Oddly, you don’t fit the setting.”

The mouse glanced upwards to have his gaze land on a much familiar figure. “Imagine seeing you here.”
He smiled at the horse, pulling the hat down some when the sun shone too brightly. “Do not worry yourself there my friend, I have no plans on making this a usual habit.” Sensing that the horse and bird did not know each other, he motioned towards the bird, “Whip, let me introduce you to Zane, Zane this fellow here is Whip. That is might fine figure you have there, Whip. Congratulations if I have not told you so before. Seems you have been keeping busy.”
He eyed the papers that the horse was holding wondering what they were. “Wish to join us?” He motioned towards one of the empty chairs. “I am sure that we would not mind the company of one such as yourself, would we Zane?”

Zane blinked at the sudden appearance of the man named Whip. Hadn't his dad mentioned something about a equine by that name? Could it just be some sort of freakish coincidence? He highly doubted it. Suddenly the sparrow felt entirely too young for his own good. Right, be still had to talk though.
"It's a pleasure to meet you!" Zane said with a bow of his head. "Though I think you know my father, Theofilus? He mentioned that you were a good customer at the Firm. Though I could be mistaken."
What a small world it was if it were true. He couldn't help but feel embarrassed though. He was the only one in the group without a midform. Talk about being horribly awkward. No wonder he was a social outcast when there was no business! Sometimes Zane wondered if he should have persuaded that art career. No. One day he would try to go into courts. Sometime after he managed to get his biped form... however one went about doing that. He shook it all off and looked at the equine and mouse.
He felt so awkward.
