Shinrai inclined his head to Aderlass’ compliments; it was about $#@& time he’d gotten his bipedal form at that. He still wasn’t entirely certain wot had bumped him to this form, but he wasn’t going to argue with wotever had caused that. He gladly pulled out a chair, twisting it around so he could sit on it backwards, touching the chair back against the table’s edge.
His ears twisted towards Zane as grey-green eyes settled on the younger man curiously. ”Yes, I know Theofilus,” the stallion said lightly, hiding any of the deeper emotions associated with his relationship with the man. Their good start had taken a bumpy turn and they had yet to really make it clear again. ”Your father is a good man, Zane; it’s a pleasure to meet any of his children.” On second glance, the stallion could easily recognize the resemblance between the two men, but Zane likely got enough of that without the further addition of Rai’s comments.

He noticed the air change around Zane and he wondered on what had brought it. Watching the horse take a seat he figured that maybe it was due to the two bipedals around him. Giving what he hoped was an encouraging small he tried to calm the bird’s nerves.
However, after Whip had greeted the bird the mouse was a little taken aback by the news. Looking back and forth between the bird and the horse he wondered if he had heard correctly. Had he heard correctly? There was no way that this bird could be . . . oh blast. Not that it changed anything about the lad, he reminded himself. His opinion had already been made and it was going to stay the way it was based on what the lad did not on who his father was. Though he reminded himself to be a little more cautious about what he said.
“We were just talking about my plans for the Shop, Gallery, I am planning on opening. He has some good advice you know.”

Well. Dad never did mention how stiff the man was or the little fact that he was a King. Zane really had no idea why his dad left information out of a conversation, then again he could be unaware of the change. That frosty disposition though.... that didn't seem particularly good. And with the way Dad was acting recently? No, that really didn't sit well.
"I'm sure plenty of people could give better advice. I can only give a little since I'm pretty unexperienced." He shrugged. Even with the mouse's smile he still felt awkward, but he would deal with it. "It's a small world though. I'm really surprised to meet an acquittance of my father. I feel though I'm at a disadvantage. Everyone knows everyone else except for me." He grinned.
His feathers were metaphorically ruffled. That was for sure. Thankfully he had some grace to cover it up. It must have been from hanging around his brother so much, there really was no other way he could have gotten such a talent. He had to thank his dad, brother, and darling sister later.

Zane seemed awkward with him, Shinrai noted absently. He assumed it was due to his higher rank and, of course, the fact that he was a Heart. It didn’t occur to him that his demeanour might be making the bird feel out of place, or even that both he and the mouse were in mid-form. The stallion actually spent little time in his animal form now; his bone gauntlet didn’t work well with hooves but fit just fine over his left hand. His fingers caressed along the bones distractedly; he still needed to discover just wot the item could do.
”I would enjoy hearing any advice on the matter,” Rai said quietly, ears cocking back towards the bird again. ”Inexperience can only be changed one way.” His grey-green eyes went to the mouse again. ”Speaking of your gallery…” He reached into his bag and pulled out a sheath of papers to pass over to the Morganberry. ”I received these from the bank today. As soon as you find your location, you should be good to go.”

Taking the papers which the horse handed over he flipped through them, admiring what these meant. He really appreciated everything the horse was doing to help him out. He needed to find a way to return the favor. Maybe he could give the stallion one of the items from his shop . . . though he did not really think the horse would be one to wear jewelry. Shrugging it off for now he figured he would mention the return of a favor to the horse later.
“Your help is greatly appreciated, Whip.” He gave a deep bow of his head to show his appreciation. “As for the location I was thinking of that empty building on the corner of the crafts district. The one with the apartment attached on top. Wot do you think of it?” He asked a little distracted by his reading of the papers.
“And the horse is right. I greatly appreciate your advice, that and the only way to change inexperience is indeed to experience.” With that said he gave a joking wink towards the bird.

Well Then. The man with bones attached to his arm wasn't creepy at all. Zane coughed a bit from his uncomfortable situation. Then they went back to business. That he could handle. "Then might I give a small bit of advice? If you are to choose a building in the craft distract make sure it's closer to the Bazaar or on the general path if not IN the Bazaar. The most traffic flow goes through when the craft district spills into the Bazaar." He shrugged.
Really, he had watched the traffic flow once when determining where Ez could set up an office in the future. Zane was good at picking up patterns if they involved math. Math was his only strong suit. How ironic. Why didn't his Dad pass on his ability with women? Oh wait, that had gone to Ez and Ceren. That left him with Math. Joy.
"Of course, that's just from a day or so of research."

Apparently it seemed that luck was on his side. From what the wonderful sparrow had just informed them, he had picked out the ideal spot to open up his gallery-shop.
The building he had his eye on sat on the corner of both the Bazaar as well as the Craft District. He had been a little leery about it, since it was a little run down and in need of some repairs, though once it was fixed up it would be a wonderful shop and the apartment above it would be just what he need. However, after the information that Zane had just told him he figured he should probably not wait much longer till he went ahead and purchased the building.
“I am not sure how much you are interested but if you two wanted I could show you the building, later perhaps if you do not want to see it now.”

Shinrai had given a small shrug at Aderlass’ initial description of his preferred location; he didn’t know the craft district at all and would have to enter the area and do some research before being able to give advice on the matter. He was saved, however, by Zane’s suggestion, which he listened to with as much interest as Aderlass. His pleasure, however, could not be match the mouse’s obvious delight. That reaction caused the stallion to smirk-smile as well.
"I'm certainly willing and pleased to see this projected location," the Marshdweller said easily. "Whenever is convenient for you, though preferably today. My afternoon is cleared and I can't guarantee when the illustrious Queen of Hearts will give me another." Not that Queen Serafino necessarily kept him -that- busy, but one rarely knew when it would abruptly occur to the man to want something from someone whether or not they were around.

He was pleased to hear that at least the Marshdweller was interested in where he was looking to set up his place at.
Everything was going quite nicely and he was starting to wonder if something might blow up in his face later for his smooth gliding. Shrugging it off as nonsense and something to deal with later if something did come up; he turned his attention towards the bird, waiting to hear if he was in agreement with the stallion. He would not be offended if the bird did not want to see it or if had other plans.
Though the idea of dragging the bird along without listening to any protests did make him smirk a little inside. It was good to ruffle the feathers – literally – of someone like him. Workaholic at the age of eighteen, he shook his head at the sadness. At least the lad enjoyed his work though. He just did not want the lad to lose out on life.
