The bird was rather amusing; Shinrai wasn't certain if the other man was just trying to escape the situation or if he truly thought that they -had- to have a reason to simply hang out. The other two had just eaten, so it was unlikely that the sparrow was on his way to get food; well, either way, the stallion wasn't going to force the bird to stay nor try to convince him to remain. It was Zane's choice wot he did, not Aderlass' nor Rai's. If the other man wanted to leave that badly, he was welcome to do so. The stallion wasn't going to try and give the man justification when he seemed so determined to do his own thing.
A door opening, however, caught the man's attention before he had any chance to say something that might have been rather unpolitic-- despite the fact that he found Zane a very interesting guy-- and the stallion froze almost instinctively, ears swivelling towards door and listening automatically for footsteps.

Coming upon the building that Mr. Aderlass was going to use as his shop, the fox made his way inside, opening the door but being careful to keep his movements otherwise silent.
Entering the building the fox stopped short. Oh no. Oh no. This was not good. Taking in the sparrow he quickly plotted how to handle the situation. He needed to get them out of here: that was his purpose after all.
Crouching down low, he snuck up on the bird. If he flung himself at the male then maybe he could freak him out enough that the bird would leave and not come back? It was worth a try. At least that way he could at least say he tried something. Taking a deep breath, he tensed in preparation for the tackle.
3 . . . 2 . . . 1 . . . Jump! Leaping forward the invisible fox launched himself at the bird. He was planning on actually latching on to the lad; after all he did not want the avian to physically feel him more then was needed.

Zane was throughly confused when he found himself on his back. His head hurt from the unusual impact with the floor. What had just happened? He wiggled a bit before setting himself right. He looked around the store.
"Uh... what just... what just happened?" He asked looking from the horse to the mouse with a confused and slightly frightened expression. He had felt something push him down. But that something obviously wasn't there or something. What? No! That didn't make any sense!
"I'm confused," he muttered as he rubbed the back of his head with his wing. Ow. His head really hurt from that. Why on earth would someone push him to the ground like that? Or rather what could actually push him down to the ground like that? "Maybe I should just... go." He said as he looked back at Ader and then the stallion. Unless that being pushed to the floor thing was a sign of protest.

Shinrai didn't have an answer for why Zane was abruptly on the floor, but he -did- find the man's baffled expression very amusing. He paced slowly to the other side of the fallen bird, looking around carefully. No sign of anything or anyone on the bird. Ears swivelled back and forth, listening for some further indication of where their little 'ghost' might have gone. There'd been a faint thump! right before Zane had landed, but the bird's fall had easily covered any further sounds from the force that had attacked him.
Unfortunately, Zane talking made tracking a bit difficult and the room wasn't dusty enough, except, perhaps, atop some shelves and things, to give the stallion clear tracks to follow. He was born and raised in a Marsh, however, and he did have some level skill, especially after dealing with chatty tourists for a decade and some odd years.
He dropped his head slightly, continuing to listen. A soft scurry of sound to his right. The stallion moved on softly clopping hooves to listen again. The sound stopped for a few moments, then started again.
Blast, it was just mice. The green head came up and his ears angled towards the backroom where Aderlass had gone. He could, at least, hear those footsteps.

Hearing the sound of Zane hitting the floor he made his way to be able to see fully into the room. Raising an eyebrow in question he was confused, scanning the room for a moment before he realized what it was that had just happened.
“Asher, you would not happen to be here would you?” Having said the lad’s name he was able to spot him easily though from experience he made sure he did not pay too much notice to where the fox now stood.
Everyone else in the room would still be clueless to the fox, only hearing a long silence before a soft reply came. “Yes Mr. Aderlass.”
“Ah there you are.” the mouse replied. “I would like to introduce you to some friends of mine. This is Zane and Whip.”
The fox gave a startled look. These were Mr. Aderlass’ friends? And he had just . . . oh dear.

The stallion's ears perked up as a little voice sounded softly through the room and he instinctively sought the source. He asked curiously, "Asher? Did you name--" He trailed off when suddenly the corner of the room the voice had originated from was no longer empty. "Well, well, well..."
The little fox seemed a bit subdued and rather chastised, but Rai still managed to catch a glimpse of multiple tails. The boy was cute, really, but... wot a strange, strange ability!
His attention went swiftly back to Aderlass. "Handy little ghost you have there," he complimented the other man with genuine amusement in his grey-green gaze. "I'd love to hear the tale of how you worked this particular hijinx out."
In fact, he wanted to know the whole story, in detail. He wouldn't press the mouse in front of Zane, however.

Zane was throughly confused by the entire ordeal playing out in front of him. The sparrow shifted his weight uncomfortably when he heard the small voice coming from somewhere. "Asher? Where--Oh!" The sparrow almost jumped when he saw the figure of a fox just randomly appear.
That was an interesting trick now wasn't it. If he had feathers on his wings they would probably be fluffed up with surprise. Instead he just stared in shock. He couldn't find the words or anything really. The story of how this fox just randomly appeared would be nice. Asher. He had to remember that name just in case someone randomly decided to pounce him in the street again.
Zane rubbed the back of his head. Ow, that hurt. He was actually surprised he wasn't bleeding from hitting the floor the way he did. He looked back at the brightly colored mouse and the green horse, waiting for something to happen.

“I am sorry about the misunderstanding, Mr. Zane.” the fox said, shaking the tip of his tail apologetically and bowing his head. He had not meant to harm any of Mr. Aderlass’ friends but rather he had thought the avian had been intruder and had been trying to scare him.
“Well . . . um . . . here is Asher.” The mouse said a little lost as to how to move on from the situation. If Rai asked him later he would be willing to entrust the horse with the lad’s secret but he was not sure about Zane. The male had helped him out a lot today but this was a little more complicated and involved, and so he was leery about just telling anyone and everyone about it.
“It is nice to meet you two.” The fox took over, the manners his parents had been hounding into him over the years kicking in.

"It's good to meet you as well, Asher. I hope we shall become good friends." A glance towards the windows, however, reminded him that there were other things still to be done that day. *#&$, how could he have forgotten? "Blast, Aderlass, I've got to go. I'll see you tonight at dinner, huh? We can get coffee afterwards." He gave a small grin, knowing that the mouse would appreciate that offer as well.
He took a few steps towards the door, tilting his head for the sparrow, who still seemed very ready to just go, "Come on, Zane, I'll walk you out. You'll have to give my regards to your father when next you see him."
He brought Zane right to the door, pulling it open courteously for the younger man before turning back briefly, "Don't forget to check over those papers, Aderlass. Completed or not, we want to verify there have been no errors." He gave another bright grin, waved one last time to Asher.
He followed Zane out into the street, giving the other man an affable wave, then quickly headed on his way back to the Palace.
