Theofilus's good eye twitched. How dare that bastard of a mouse say anything like that about his family. Not only was he insulting his poor Eilwyn, but Aderlass was insulting all the family pride that Theofilus possessed.
"Good sir, Aderlass. You seem to have forgotten that despite my age and bad eye that I am still The Queen of Diamonds. I am a snake. A two faced bastard, and because you've threatened my family I have every intention of making you suffer a fate worse than death." Theofilus smiled. All the pain that he suffered Aderlass would suffer. And now he would start the fight.
He would used the additional ability to effect Aderlass. It would at least even his odds on some level. Once Theofilus used the ability the mouse's left leg would go numb. He would still be able to walk on it... but it would make things interesting.
"It's such a pity that you can't fly."
Addition: He is now also able to cause a small electric shock to run through the opponents nerves once per day. This shock will cause them to tremble spasmodically for five seconds without being able to stop, until the five seconds are up. After this, the opponent will lose feeling in one limb of Theo's choosing for an entire hour.

The mouse's eyes widened in surprise when he felt shocks radiate through is body, causing his muscles to twitch. Not pleasant. Biting his lower lip he refused to utter a sound.
When the pain mercifully subsided he worked on breathing again. Mentally checking he made sure nothing was permanently injured, noting that his left leg had no feeling. That better not be $&@%ing permanent, he thought to himself.
"So it begins." He murmured more to himself than aloud. At the sparrow's comment he lofted a brow. Why in all the Suits would he want to fly. It had just previously been proved that birds were of no use to anyone.
He only waited a moment before calling up his next attack. Better to error on the side of caution and all that. It would not take long at all before sharp spikes would begin to protrude from the ground all around him, circling in a forty foot radius.
Amazing Power: He is now able to cause small sharp spikes to protrude from the ground all around him in a forty foot radius. Each spike is about six inches long and an inch thick, they will remain around him for up to ten minutes and he will be able to step through them without harm, should he move from within their circle though, they will disappear. He can call this power twice a week, even in the same day should he need to.

Oh damn it all to hell and back again. Theofilus wasn't able to dodge the sudden attack, but of course he was going to get hurt in a fight like this. They were both Queens and they both had ridiculous powers. And Theofilus refused to use his bird's until he absolutely needed too.
However a six inch spikes through both of his feet wasn't exactly what he was hoping for. He looked down at them, not really feeling the pain quite yet. It wasn't exactly thrilling seeing long pieces of earth sticking through your feet covered in your own blood. Of course, it was all a fuzzy haze to Theofilus since his eyesight was awful and he had one eye.
And then came the pain. The mind numbing pain that stung and ached. He cursed rather loudly as he looked down at his feet.
He activated his diamond ability of flight. Using it to take his feet off of the spikes. It was a painful process, causing Theofilus to shudder and curse in pain. Once he was free, however he made for a the set of stairs that weren't covered in spikes.
Of course Aderlass was in the way, so Theofilus did something other than magic. He threw his cane at the man's head as hard as he possibly could.
Powerful Magical Ability: When activated, he can fly for three hours. Winged Diamonds can use this ability for effortless, perfectly controlled flight for three hours.

It took a moment longer than Theo's realization of the pain for it to hit the mouse. $@&%ing bird just could not move out of the way, could he? He could only imagine that he was lucky that his left leg was numb, saving him any pain that may have resulted from the bird to it.. His right foot however, that was another story. His breath hissed through his teeth as he fought the pain.
Oh that bird was going to pay!
He was careful to keep an eye on the jerkwad, he did not need anything else unexpected thrown his way. When the wuss took to the air he cursed his luck. As the Queen passed on his flight he managed to duck and dodge the cane thrown at him. Well there was something cheer about poor eyesight!
Now just to get the little $&@*# down from the sky. While others of his power would be able to reach into the sky, there was nothing saying that the birdy would not be able to fly above it. Curse it all.
Glancing around he tried to figure out the solution for the dilemma. Something that would reach . . .
An idea came to him. Smiling, in what could only be considered malicious, the mouse tucked his cane over one elbow before reaching toward one of the spikes that surrounded the area. Using his ability to control the temperature of his hands, he warmed up the spike just enough to cause it to break off. Tossing it from hand to hand he formed a small fist size ball and waiting for it to cool off just slightly proceeded to chuck it at the sparrow before reaching over for another.
One bird with many stones.

Theofilus did managed to make it to solid ground that wasn't covered in spikes. He landed on the outside stairs that they had walked down earlier. Thankfully they were still intact despite the six inch spikes going through forty feet of everything.
.... That probably hurt a lot of other people besides Theofilus.
Theofilus didn't see the rock coming, he just felt it wiz by his head. He cursed and took several steps in the air. He could only see blurs pass by him, but he knew that they would hurt if they made contact with him.
And one did. To Theofilus' complete and utter shock and surprise a giant rock slammed right into his sternum. The old pain from a previous fight returned with a stinging sensation that that welled up from his chest outwards. He coughed and sputtered, struggling to keep a hold of his flight ability without crashing.
He hit the ground a bit hard, his feet somehow managing to hold up his weight though protesting greatly. But at least he was above Aderlass to some degree. He had some smug satisfaction that Aderlass was feeling all the pain he was.
Now all he needed was time.
Smoke started to form under Theofilus. He had cast the ability, and it was just a matter of time before they appeared.
Large Ability: He is able to summon two small monstrosities from another plane of existence. They are, in actuality, the tortured souls of two people he once knew, something he will be unable to find out unless he takes his questioning to the...less desirable areas of the city or Bazaar, and asks around there.
These creatures look like monstrous birds made of smoke, their mouths part to reveal blackened stumps of teeth in the beaks. They are about four feet tall each and neither weigh anything. He can call them once a week, and when called they will last on this plane for one hour. Once called they can each do one of two things:
1) Belch an obscuring cloud of black smoke, making the opponent choke and cough as thick, hot soot fills their lungs.
2) Fly down upon the opponent and tear at them with their teeth. Though the damage may seem minimal at first, it will build over the hour, a they are made of smoke attacks made to deter them will simply slide through them. The exception to this being ice-based attacks. If frozen solid, the birds shatter and return to their other plane instantly.
These creatures are highly useful and can also be called, not for a fight, but to deliver messages. Use caution if this is the case, however, as they are malevolent beings and will likely bite whoever the message is for.
The person who calls them, is not affected by their attacks...but as they sleep...they will speak to him. Often he will not remember what is said, but sometimes...sometimes they know things they ought not to. <3
And the rest of this is going to be posted when the birds, you know, actually appear. They have retained all their previous abilities.

Tossing the makeshift balls of sorts at the bird he almost stopped once the sparrow had managed to land safely, something that ironically on some level or other was something that he was grateful for. At the last minute though he wished he had.
Falling to his knees he gasped as the pain racked his body, working its way up. Mindless with pain he let out a ferocious yell in retaliation, using one of his abilities without fully realizing he had done it.
As the minutes edged on and the pain became, slowly, more bearable the mouse used his cane to help maneuver himself back to his feet. Using the cane a little more for supporting his weight than he usually did. He noted the smoke that was starting to form under the sparrow. That could not be good.
Standing there, slowly straightening himself out, small inch by small inch, he contemplated what his options were now. It was true that the sparrow was currently, seemingly, holding the upper hand but the mouse had a few tricks up his sleeves still too.
It was all a matter of time for the mouse as well.
Queen's Ability: He can emit a very sudden and impressive yell that one would never expect from a creature of his stature or species. The yell can be given off once per week, any more often and he risks extreme throat damage. It is reminiscent of the bellow of a much larger creature. This causes shock to the creature who hears it, freezing them in place for a full five seconds and obliterating their ability to hear at all for the next full hour.

He didn't expect something that loud to come out of something that small. He stopped completely unable to do anything but stand there. It lasted for five seconds, but it seemed like an eternity.
When it stopped Theofilus fell to his knees. The bird's were almost done... almost there.
The smoke continued to well up, creating large figures of birds. They spiraled upwards in the sky, slowly forming in a impressive display. They finally took form, both of them where hideous black birds made of smoke. One opened it's beak and shrieked, revealing a row of blackened and chipped teeth. Nine feet tall giant birds made of smoke.
"The monster let his sister die!" Hissed one of the bird's as it swooped towards Aderlass, bearing it's teeth and continuing to insult Aderlass. Saying that he was miserable for letting a friend die. Nothing but a monster. Weak and worthless. Useless. It went directly for Aderlass's shoulder, making the motions to chomp down on it. It's talons bared to scratch at him. If it managed to bite him it would deliver a poison that would make him see double.
The other bird circled, not making an attack yet. It spouted a few insults, swooped down briefly and swooped back up. It was waiting for the right moment to strike.
Theofilus was distressed as he watched the bird's mouth's move but nothing came out. He couldn't...hear anything.
Demonic Birds Power Boost: Theo can now call them twice a week and they can now speak. They chant the most horrible things that the opponent is guilty of as they attack and they are much larger, 5.5 feet high now. This feeling of shame will fall on the opponent, whether they try to tune the attack out or not ad they will begin to feel paranoid and extremely upset, leading them to perhaps rash actions and hurried attacks. One bird can now also haunt the dreams of an opponent before a battle. Taunting them and keeping them from true rest, making the opponent excessively tired the next day. They each get one poisonous attack per summon now. One delivering a stinging sensation to the area, the other delivering a hallucinogen making it so that the opponent sees double for an hour. The birds are now also susceptible to attacks that deal with sound as well as ice. Increase Smoke-Bird Ability: The Birds now become completely corporeal when summoned and are gigantic monsters. They tower nine feet above the ground, their thickly scaled legs as thick as most Card's torsos. Their eyes gleam with a malevolent intellect and they can now speak fluently in any language. They attack brutally, able to rend with talons, beaks, and teeth now. Shouting insults, goading, and disrupting opponents spells as they go. They are still like smoke when attacked, weapons sliding through them, though magical attacks will now be able to harm them. Once injured badly enough, they will vanished, but can be summoned again next time with no lasting problems. Theo is also now able to mount and ride them should he choose, using them for effortless ariel attacks and using some of their energy as he does so.

Still not able to pull himself to full height, he continued to lean heavily on his cane. Watching the smoke slowly curl into more definitive shapes. They almost appeared to be . . . birds.
Well that just figured.
Watching the impressive display the mouse felt a small thread of fear form. The stupid sparrow packed more of a punch then the mouse wanted to admit. Currently refused to admit.
Then the mental onslaught started. They were throwing his worst nightmares at him, half truths, and haunting feelings. Shaking his head he tried his hardest to deny them. It was not true. False! All false! It had not been him who had killed his precious sister, there was nothing that he could have done. That %@$* had killed his friend. And that $@&% sparrow was the one who had killed his precious, precious daughter.
No he was kidding himself. It was all his fault. He had been the one to cause their deaths, it all fell on him. Giving a cry of outrage at it all his attention was brought slowly to the movements of the birds.
As one of them moved closer to him the increasing feeling that he could not let anything, anyone, nothing touch him. All he brought was pain and death to those around him.
Unleashing the sword hidden in his cane, he held it with both hands out before him. He fumbled with words for a moment before finally whispering, "ignite". Wide eyes would show the paranoia that had taken over his mind. As the bird came closer he swung out hoping without hope that it would do something.
Sword Ability: When unsheathed from the cane the weapon appears to be a normal, rather thin and intimidating looking sword. However, once pointed at an opponent, all Aderlass need do is whisper to it: ignite, and it will become bright white with a glowing orange channel. Were anyone but he to touch it, it would burn straight through their hand.
When this blade is ignited, it will remain so for a full five minutes, and he can use this power once a week. The blade will appear to cut like a normal blade, leaving a slash mark and not burning...at first. Ten seconds after being cut (and expecting searing burns) the opponents wound will spontaneously combust, tearing into a slightly larger wound that will flare for a few seconds and then go out, leaving the flesh raw, open, and blistered. This makes that area affected extremely stiff and painful to move. If hit in the same area more than once, notify the admin as something rather spectacular will happen <3

The giant bird that continued to rant didn't manage to make contact with the man's weapon. To its surprise his weapon hit her. This was something that shouldn't happen, unless there was magic involved. For a moment she stood there unsure of what to do.
And then the slash across the lower part of its chest burst into flames. The shriek it released was horrifying, and Theofilus would have been shocked by it if he had been able to hear. Instead he watched as the nine foot bird charged towards Ader, head on.
Meanwhile the quieter of the two bird's had decided to swing around and attack from behind. He swooped in, and opened it's mouth to chomp down on any part of the man it could while he was distracted. When his teeth made contact they would tear into his flesh leaving jagged wounds and a stinging sensation.
Theofilus watched as he tried to make his way down the stairs now the the spikes had disappeared. It was a difficult process, and he had to pause to try and stop the bleeding in his feet. Tearing his jacket sleeves off he wrapped them around his feet as tight as possible. This way... he wouldn't slip on the blood that persisted on oozing out of his feet. God. This was awful.

The Queen was just as surprised when the sword was able to actually do some damage to the bird. The action being mostly reflex rather than plotted out. Breathing heavily he watched as the creature reared back, nothing seemingly happening, before the wound seemed to combust.
The Morganberry could not help but little out a silent cheer at his good fortune. Maybe all was not going to look so grim for the small mouse. He was in measurable pain but considering he had finally managed to cause something else harm without it rebounding was a definite win.
He victory was, as they say, short lived. Wincing as the creature let out a horrible shriek the mouse only had time to lift his sword again as the creature charged at him. Bracing himself even though it would not do him a lick of good, he swung again as the creature whammed into him.
Thrown back by the impact, the sword dangling precariously from only one hand, the mouse was suddenly stopped as he was struck from behind. A painful, stinging sensation suddenly overwhelmed the mouses' left shoulder.
