To the bird's surprise Aderlass managed to hit it again. What happened next no one really expected. It was a sudden and violent explosion that Theofilus was barely able to see. Everything was fuzzy as it was, and he couldn't here... so he just watched as the bird that had charged Aderlass exploded into two.
Part of the bird was up and about, while the other was on the ground writing in pain. It was a sight to behold, and the bird that was up and about was under Aderlass' influence thanks to his cane.
But it was only seconds before the other half got up from the ground to chase.... its other. It was a painfully confusing affair when you could see straight, and as things were Theofilus could only see fuzzy images.
The bird that had attacked Aderlass from behind quickly swooped away. On it's way towards Theofilus it snatched up his cane and returned to his Master's side. The cane was the only defense the small man had, and frankly he would need it if he had to deal with a sword that could blow things up like that. The bird bowed to allow his master to mount him.
Theofilus grabbed the bird's neck and struggled to get on properly. At least he wouldn't have to shudder with every step this way. He was still struggling to breath under the pain of his sternum being rebroken.

Crumpling to the ground the mouse bowed over in pain. Though the only physical injury he had suffered so far to his own person was the vicious bite that now radiated through his left shoulder, feeling all the pain that Theo felt was really taking a toll.
Wincing and panting slightly through the pain he watched in amazement as the creature he had swung at proceeded to burst into two. It was quite a beautiful array and caused the mouse to have a whole new respect for his cane. Reaching out with his left hand, moving it as little as possible, he gave the sword a loving pat.
When the half, that had previously been withering on the ground in some semblance of what the mouse could only image to be pain suddenly, shot up to chase after it's twin the mouse sent out a silent hope toward the 'healthier' one that it would either attack Theo or in the worse case scenario eat itself.

The healthier bird was headed towards Theofilus in a blur, only to have it's tale grabbed by it's angry other half. It spun around and snapped at it's counterpart, only to have it's other half snap back. It was a vicious battle with itself. Both halves were spouting insults at each other, the both hit the ground in a furry of smoke as they clawed at each other. The one struggling to get to Theofilus the other struggling to eat it's other half.
Theofilus meanwhile was trying to form a plan in his head. He didn't know how much the mouse had left, and he didn't want to get close to him. However one of his bird's was out of commission and he was sitting at the other.
It wasn't a room but he was close enough to the mouse to use the spell. Once it was cast he ordered his bird upwards. If it worked it gave him a little more time to think.
Minor Power: The SD can now cause a fine yet bone chillingly cold mist to fill one room once per month for one full hour. The cold will not affect the SD casting it but will cause the opponent to shiver violently for five seconds as they adjust to it, and their limbs may begin to go numb as the hour goes on, especially if they're skinny. Glacier Dwellers may be immune to this spell though, use caution XD

Either they were like playing puppies, snapping at each other, or the two parts of a whole were cannibalistic. He was hoping for the later in this case.
Pulling his attention away from fighting creatures he scanned the area for a sigh of what the sparrow was doing. It had been down right silly of him to have taken his attention off of the man for so long. Not spotting the man anywhere to be seen on the ground level the mouse quickly shifted his attention to the sky.
Ah, so there was the $@&%.
He had to admit that he was actually quite surprised that the sparrow had not taken off like a wuss. It would have been a perfect time. Ah, well. This would make the rest of the fight more interesting.
As the mouse surveyed the newest development he felt and saw a chill start to spread rapidly along the ground. Shivering in result of the sudden drop in temperature he quickly acted, bringing the temperature up of his whole body, effectively heating up the air around him.

Theofilus circled the battlefield, looking down at the giant blurry pattern. When he squinted with his good eye he could only see the outlines of all the damage. This entire part of the block was a complete and utter mess. So much for being responsible.
The bird Theofilus was on shifted, and spoke. Not like Theofilus could hear it commenting at him. But the reason for the comment was an obvious one.
The half of the bird that was under Ader's control had freed itself. And it's other half was chasing it. Of course, it was heading straight for Theofilus. The sparrow made a sound of alarm and ordered the bird he was sitting on to dive.
And dive they did. Down down, hastily past the pair that were cashing him and each other. They were quick though the bird under Ader's influence snapped at Theofilus as he went by, barely missing.
Right before they were about to hit the ground the bird pulled up, hurdling towards Aderlass with Theofilus grasping for dear life on him. The party of the two other bird's were close at tail, the hope would be that they would crash into Aderlass.
Theo's bird pulled up, claws banished as it went, hoping to make contact with Aderlass but not lingering. The two other birds were coming and were going to be fighting in front of the mouse. Hopefully. Then again. He could still walk.

The mouse watched as the 'twins' continued to fight, keeping quick glances toward Theo as he worked on what to do next. While he could try his previous method again in hopes that it might maybe, perchance, cause the sparrow to fall from his ride, he was also pretty certain that he did not want the bird creature near him.
It was as he was watching the two separate parts of a whole fighting that he saw 'his one' break free and start to rush toward the sparrow, its brother in hot pursuit. As he was silently cheering it on he noticed that the bird who had bitten him was starting on a new path. a rather quick decent.
And it was only a few moments before the mouse realized what his newest target was going to be.
While the mouse was still able to run, the pain in his legs a nice offering of sharing from Theo would prevent the little mouse from going anywhere too far anytime too quickly. However, as he realized that there were worse things, and those were heading toward him at a fast pace, the mouse tried to dart out of the way.
He was just starting to hobble away, gritting his teeth through the pain the movement caused, as he felt a sharp, searing pain on his cheek as the talon of the bird caught him before it pulled up.
Too close, too close, the mouse chanted to himself as he threw his body weight forward in a leap, trying his best to roll out of danger.

The bird quickly ascend, it's master still clinging on it for dear life. It was happy to actually make a hit even if it was a tiny one. Blood was still blood and what it had in mind would make things so much more bloody soon.
The twin bird did miss Aderlass by a hair, the back one however caught up with it's target, grabbing it's tail and throwing it down. There vicious clawing and tearing at each other continued, each trying to go for the others neck and failing.
The bird Theofilus was sitting on started circling the battle field. He gave it a light command to continue doing what it was doing. It would give him time to cast the spell. It was a last resort (well one of his last resorts before he did something horrible and underhanded) and he knew at the very least it would cause some damage.
Four nicely planted trees up rooted themselves, and headed straight for Aderlass. The closest one to him started falling, trying its hardest to slam down on the mouse. The others would join it shortly, brandishing branches and trunks.
Theofilus smirked. He was happy he learned that spell.
Amazing Ability: This SD is now able to make minions out of trees. They can cause trees nearby to uproot themselves and advance upon an enemy, falling upon and/or attempting to slam their branches into an opponent. The SD casting this spell may do it once every two weeks and can move up to four trees at a time. This is exhausting to the SD and they can only keep the spell up and running for about five minutes...but it will be a rather strange and terrifying five minutes to the opponent. If more than two of the trees are killed, however...the trees just might turn on the caster...though it's unlikely, it would depend on the manner of their deaths.

Whipping at his check with the back of his hand he glanced down to see he blood that now decorated his hand. It did not seem to be too terribly bad, though the stinging feeling was fading to a dull ache. A quick glance showed that the twins were still too close by for comfort, and after regaining his feet he edged back some more from them.
The sparrow had taken to the sky again, the filthy %@$#*&. Glaring at the man he was distracted from a deep rumbling, ripping noise. Eyes wide the mouse watched as four trees that had not been damaged from his earlier bout of spikes uprooted themselves. Not only were they doing that but they were proceeding to make their way toward him.
Would that sparrow never give up? Where in the Lowlands did one even learn such a trick?
Leaping back a step to avoiding meeting the pavement the mouse called on his ability again. Hopefully this round of spikes would keep the bloody trees pinned if not make it a hell of a lot harder to move toward him.
((Again!)) Amazing Power: He is now able to cause small sharp spikes to protrude from the ground all around him in a forty foot radius. Each spike is about six inches long and an inch thick, they will remain around him for up to ten minutes and he will be able to step through them without harm, should he move from within their circle though, they will disappear. He can call this power twice a week, even in the same day should he need to.

When the spike when up the first thing to get hit was the fighting bird's. Spikes ran through the back and head of the one that had been pinned. The other had been flipped off, getting a spike right through the head. They both slowly faded out of existence, they hadn't seen it coming.
One of the trees that had been closet to him tired to fall on top of him, the spikes hadn't gone up in time to stop it from cascading towards the ground.
Two of the other trees were stopped in their path, the roots had been run through. Even though they couldn't move towards the mouse, they continued to flail their branches wildly in an attempt to get close to him, even if he was just out of reach.
The last tree hadn't been stopped by the spikes. It was still scurrying towards him--the smallest tree of the set of four and the furthest away. The roots climbed over the spikes as it "slowly" passed the two trees that had been pinned down.
Theofilus remained in the sky, watching the blurrs stop an move. Those stupid spikes again. He growled. Biting his lip Theofilus glanced at his hand. Well, Aderlass would feel all the pain he felt. In one quick and horrible motion Theofilus slammed his thumb as hard as possible, the snap never reached his ears. But there was no mistake in the horrible amount of pain as he looked as his broken thumb, the bone sticking out slightly, the blood gushing forward like a river.
He cursed. He really hoped that was the mouse's dominate hand. Though it wasn't his so it was a vain hope.

He watched carefully as the spikes took two of the trees 'out' and half pinned the one that had fallen. Making sure to keep out of hitting range of its flailing branches the mouse focused on increasing his temperature some more. This time instead of just heating up the temperature around him to defeat the effects of the fog, he increased it to a temperature that would cause small ignitions with the things around him.
As a blade of grass next to him started to curl and smoke the mouse gave a pleased smile. He then focused on increasing it a little more, jumping the range of the degrees significantly each time. It would not be long at all before anything flammable would be lit and the fire would start.
The mouse was distracted from increasing the temperature any more than burning level when a sudden pain smashed through his left thumb. It almost felt as if he had just slammed it against something, causing it to break and tear at the flesh. Covering the new 'wound' with his right hand he cursed, breathing shallowly.
That #&@%ing sparrow!
